1951, Zikism politics of the East was built on a near obsession to conquer westen region through politics. The sage checkmated this and saved us from a people who would have boasted today of how they conquered us, same way they hype their influence in their local London ( Lagos)

1961-66, First republic, NCNC did everything to destroy Yoruba nationalism and destroy its leaders. Broke Midwest from western region, worked with saros to have an enquiry on Awo ( led by Coker), put the sage in jail and ran his party underground.

1967 - In Ojukwu's struggle for Biafra, he claimed to be upset with Gowon and the North but matched his army towards Lagos to sack western region and assert his influence as an overlord before Obasanjo halted the Biafra invading army at Ore.

1978-1983, second republic politics was a gangup of Ekweme, Zik and later Ojukwu to isolate Yoruba politicians led by Awolowo to support Shagari and once again force Yoruba people into opposition as they did ij the first republic.

2010-2015, sons of Zik teamed up with GEJ to ostracize Yoruba politicians and force them into opposition like their fathers did and schemed to assert politicial influence in the commercial centers of Yorubaland as their pressured the govt to declare Lagos as a non Yoruba state.

2016 - present, IPOB, acting as pseudo militant wing of Eastern politics showed open hatred against Yoruba elites, built fake friendship with Yoruba nationalists & used the influence to burn down Lagos during endsars to avenge GEJ defeat that removed them from corridors of power.

2023, Election season, Atiku/North gets soft landings while all hate/ attacks and smear campaigns is directed to Yoruba elites and heroes including Awolowo and MKO with the propogandists using the saros and minorities like their fathers did with the likes of Macaulay and Coker.

Once again like Ojukwu narhed soldiers to Ore, their political cannons face the west and the Jubrils of Sudan/supporters of APC are their friends once again. The mistress is back with her sugardaddy.

The presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party, Yabagi Sani, has said enemies of Nigeria are behind the introduction of the naira redesign

Faulting the policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sani, who appeared on Channels Television on Tuesday, said the policy was done by those against the democratic structure of the country.

He further stated that the policy was introduced so that the 2023 elections will not hold.

The ADC candidate said, “It is only the enemies of the state that will introduce this kind of thing so that elections will not take place or when it takes place, it takes place under a situation that you can’t guarantee free, fair and credible election.
“I don’t know which country changes her currency within two weeks. In other climes, you allow the thing to go on and seamlessly, people are not taken into any difficulties. This is completely bad, the timing and everything you want to talk about it.

“You don’t dislocate their businesses when they are battling with poverty, insecurity and you now come and add this draconian law that has no meaning in terms of what you want to achieve.”

Sani added that the apex bank should have properly disbursed money to commercial banks across the country before coming up with the policy.

The ADC candidate’s remarks come two days after The PUNCH reported the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, pleaded with Nigerians to bear with the Federal Government and the CBN over the pains caused by the naira redesign

He stated that currency redesign is not peculiar to Nigeria, adding that the policy comes with some pains but has benefits in the long term.

The CBN, on October 26, 2022, announced its plan to redesign the three banknotes. The president subsequently unveiled the redesigned N200, N500 and N1,000 notes on November 23, 2022, while the apex bank fixed a January 31 deadline for the validity of the old notes.

However many Nigerians across the country have continued to lament the scarcity of the notes.

Meanwhile, thirteen political parties out of the 18 political parties in Nigeria on Monday threatened to withdraw from participating in the 2023 general elections slated for February 25 and March 11, if the CBN extends the deadline of February 10 for naira swap.

Backing the policy, the coalition of chairmen of the political parties, who commended the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), on the redesign of the N200, N500 and N1,000 banknotes, insisted that the policy must stand.

For 7 years, I have remained an ardent critic of Buhari and his government. I have vilified all his economic policies. But with Naira redesign and the promise of a credible, free and fair and trouble free polls, Buhari, you are the GOAT.

On this Naira redesign, Buhari has achieved what no other president could. GEJ would not have had the "BALLS" to do this. Even OBJ would have buckled, yet Buhari is not flinching inspite of the "noises". Kudos Mr President.

Why are governors and politicians complaining more than the ordinary Nigerians? Most of them have buried billions they stole from us. God willing by Fruday, February 10, 2023, all those stolen money would become ordinary toilet papers. This is the more reason Buhari MUST NOT burge.
