Politics › Re: Obi's Latest Foolish Idea: Increase Interests Rates To Tackle Inflation by Idiko1: 3:42pm On Sep 07, 2022
OneEyedSnake:
Nigeria has one of the highest lending rates that hover between the high 20's to mid 30's percentile. We are talking loan shark unbridled medieval Jewish usury rates here.

These rates exist because of govt reckless spending and a monetary policy that seeks to continue to devalue the naira owing to low forex reserves brought by same govt recklessness, corruption, and IMF/World bank dictated policies to devalue the naira.

Nigeria's inflation is not tied to easy credit and bank loans flooding the economy rather it is caused by a very unfair interests lending rate and govt recklessness . How many people really do have access to bank loans ?
The number of households indebted to banks should not be about to 1% of the population unlike in the US where everyone is mortgaged to their necks and having medical and student loan debts alongside credit card bills to contend with. Nigeria remains a cash economy with little or no debt driving consumer spending unlike in the US where such hike in interests rates serves to limit lines of credit while mopping up excess liquidity brought about by the US Fed's covid stimulus cheques.

For Obi to state that increasing rates that are already in the loan shark region as a panacea to solving inflation shows he is an idiot with no single comprehension on how economies and monetary policy operate.

I have always maintained that Obi is dangerously half educated and grossly misinformed on global economics and geopolitics and that he only references articles and talking points dished by propaganda outlets like The Economist, World Bank Reports and the ever lying CCP.

The biggest mistake Nigerians will ever make (even worse than the disaster Buhari) is voting this man into office.
Shut up your putrid mouth. The use of interest rate to fight inflation is a fundamental economic approach. However, Nigerian economy is not built to such pattern.
Politics › Re: Who Is Tinubu's Father? by Idiko1: 2:18pm On Sep 07, 2022
conductor250:
The drug dealer aspirant of APC always mentioned Abibatu Mogaji as his mother. Abibatu's biography states that she was married to Salami Agbaje.

Now, none of these people had Tinubu in their name. The guy that calls himself Bola Tinubu has never said who his father is. The tinubu family themselves says he's an impersonator and not a member of their family.

How did "Bola Tinubu" come to this world? Who is his father? Even if we accept that his birthname is Amoda Ogunlere, who is Mr Ogunlere? Where is he? Why is he not mentioned anywhere?

How can only one person have unknown father, unknown mother, unknown primary/secondary school, unknown source of income, suffering from unknown disease, have multiple unknown children from multiple unknown and unmarried concubines?
This is not a suitable question to pose on a Yoruba.

The best player on the pitch was #8 for the Falcons. This young lady plays intelligent and total football. She does everything correctly. She possesses the field generalship and the only Falcon player who can intercept passes from the Americans. She is really good at her young age.

Chelsea FC is not communal enterprise such as certain African countries especially when American is at the head. He let young and promising academy players leave the team for rejects.
Sports › Re: BREAKING : Chelsea Sack Manager Following Champions League Defeat by Idiko1: 1:31pm On Sep 07, 2022
The sacking of Thomas Tuchel is prudent managerial exercise by the owners of Chelsea FC. No coach will survive the wrath of the owner by letting promising academy players depart the team while hungering for other teams' rejects who looked good in shorts. By the way, any coach who allows Jorginho a minute of playing time should be fired.

There is nothing fantastic about what he said. The man when to USA and heard about contractionary monetary policy (a kind of macroeconomic tool) that the USA adopt for their federal reserve, and boom, the man(obi) just assumed that such policy can work for Nigeria.

What works for A is not likely to work for B. There is a big difference between an economist who understands every dynamism of both micro/macro economics with someone who is a trader.
It is fair to say your Thiefunbu or Atokumbo is neither economist nor a trader.

Truth is, we are just forcing ourselves to be one when in reality we know too well we are not one. It's better each region becomes a state on her own than staying in a forceful marriage.

But most especially the northerers will not allow that to happen because of selfish interest.
I honestly pray for the Republic of Igboland.

November1857:
5 Million Yoruba People Signed Petition To Break Away From Nigeria, Self-determination Group Tells Buhari

The group had in the letter said that an overwhelming number of Yoruba people want out of the country because of their worsening and painful plight.

A group, the Yoruba Self-Determined Movement (YSDM), has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to react to a letter written by the group, stating that Yoruba people were set to secede from Nigeria peacefully.

A leader of the group, Banji Ayiloge disclosed this while referring to the letter jointly signed by him, Professor Banji Akintoye, Chief Sunday Igboho and Prof. Adeniran to the President.

According to Ayiloge, the “five million Yoruba who signed the petition to have Yoruba nation is a testimony to their desire to be free from internal colonialism”.

He then called on the government to act on the letter without further delay, The Independent reports.

Ayiloge, who is the vice chairman of the YSDM urged Buhari to read and respond to their demands.

The group had in the letter said that an overwhelming number of Yoruba people want out of the country because of their worsening and painful plight.

“The letter was written to serve notice to Nigeria that the Yoruba Nation is prepared to peacefully exit Nigeria,” Ayiloge said.

He explained that the letter was justified and appropriate under the law as a reaction to questions being asked by the group’s diplomatic team about the reaction of the Nigerian Government to Yoruba demands for a separate nation.

“YSDM was temperate in our letter to the President of Nigeria because we must demonstrate that Yoruba are peace-loving people.

“The Yoruba people can now wait for one more month to await the reaction of the President of Nigeria.

“While in some instances, silence could mean consent, we are prepared to consult our people for the next line of action and the momentum for a separate nation has built up to a crescendo among Yoruba people and there is no going back.

“The Yoruba Self-Determination Movement (YSDM) is an amalgamation of many Yoruba organizations around the world that fully subscribe to the notion of the Yoruba self-determination project.

“Thus, the decision of the next line of action rests with the Yoruba Council which is the highest policy-making organ of the organization. The council will determine the next line of action.

However, the group urged Yoruba people to be law-abiding in the face of constant provocations.

Politics › Re: Why Do The Whites Envy Blacks. Why Do They Try To Upturn Joyful Moments Of Blac by Idiko1: 1:41am On Sep 07, 2022
kiako:
Now, it might come to many notice but this is a reality that is, and should be brought to the fore especially to fellow blacks.

Now, before I begin, I must first emphasize the untrue thoughts to think that even as the world of the blacks is, they (the blacks) don't have anything to measure up with the whites, such that its untrue to think the whites could envy or really h8 or really do d!ckmeasurement with Black's success - because, in reality, this is false or misinformation. The whites ain't comfortable with blacks success and there is this pull him down energy they exhume towards our brothers and sisters especially those that nationalise there. And most times they hinge it on your mistakes, thereby making it look like its cos of the mistake but that's just the foundation they would hold tight to descend their fangs on you.

Now this is a list of instances (first I'll start with the two most recent, which is about Anthony Joshua and Serena Williams) :

1) Anthony Joshua : now, truly, AJ overreacted in his fight with Usyk. But, the backlash he received were really out of this world. I saw real hatred on him.

It got to a point one WHITE condemned that saying people should take a break on him, that it could be affecting his family, etc

That was how much it was. The level of rebuttal I saw these guts display on AJ was very terrible.
Its only a naive one that wouldn't sense the hate.

In fact, it was when they began to include his statement about "black people not to buy from white peoples businesses" that it became really confirmed that indeed there was bitterness in the guise of speaking up for sportsmanship.
And I was like, ohoooo so this is it, I would have thought ! So my instinct didn't fail me.

Meanwhile, note AJ never said that. He only talked about "blacks supporting black businesses"

So you see, what it means when one is able to twist what you said .... Imagine how far such act tells. And was even more shocking as AJ is a British citizen - so what happens to him being their "compatriot" ??

2) Serena Williams : Now this gem of inestimable value is retiring. And the athletic world is all praises. And that is how it ought to be cos she had been the light of lawn tennis. Like, a legend.

But today (this is actually what promoted me to make this post. I would have just be keeping it in mind what I notice, but for this I saw today), I read a post by this Australian I respect so much and I was dissapointed.
This man I respect him so much. As in so much.

But really see that this is sth that has gone beyond the ordinary. Why this ??. Just read below to see.

What was he tryna prove ? Why the d!ck measurement now, at the eve of Serena's joy huh.

No.

Take a look at these two first. . .
Only a fool believes there is either a white human being or black human being. In addition, nobody will take Africans seriously when Africans do idiotic things to imitate Europeans.

It is very hurtful in the eyes to watch most Nigerian teams play soccer especially the once-very-good female teams. The Falcon team which is technically inept and trounced by US female team lacked field generalship. Until the members of Falcon team learn to grasp the situational awareness on the field of play, they will continue to hurt the feelings of most Nigerians.

Nigeria is a useless country and cannot produce any useful thing. It is laughable certain people think otherwise. At this stage of play, most Falcon players lack the awareness of the situation on the field. The worst offenders are the so-called players who ply their trades in foreign league. There is absolutely nothing as slip of tongue in what Biden's claimed. Most government and non-government organizations in USA are quasi-Democrat Party.
