The only thing in Igbos interest is a complete separation from this country.

Putting Peter Obi in charge will just prolong the moribond life of the Zoo.

For the Igbos shouting Peter Obi, ask yourself; how has the tribes of other former presidents benefited?
Boasting to have ruled a Zoo should not be our aim.

The best thing to do on election day is sit at home. Let Zoo people govern themselves. Don't participate. Instead of donating money to politicians and churches, give money to our Security Network that are in the bush fighting for our survival.
Even if my mother wins presidential election in the shithole called Nigeria, I will never stop to call for the disintegration of the British hut.
Politics › Re: Umahi: I No Longer Believe In Ohanaeze, They Betrayed Me by Idiko1: 6:29pm On Jun 12, 2022
maupe:
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State on Saturday passed vote of no confidence on Professor George Obiozor, declaring that he would no longer recognize him as the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

Umahi who ran for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress in the just concluded primary election of the APC, accused Obiozor of particanship, instead of making himself a rallying point during the struggle for the presidency of Igbo extraction.

He lamented that Obiozor failed to stand for the South East region when it mattered most, saying, “ it is a very big shame, I have no confidence in him and he is no longer my President.”

Umahi chided delegates from other South East States who he said sold their votes to willing buyers instead of standing in defense of the calls for the Igbo Presidency.

He also expressed dissatisfaction with the political actors from the South East zone for not justifying the agitations against the marginalization of Ndigbo during the just concluded Presidential Primary.

Governor Umahi spoke on Saturday while addressing the mammoth crowd of supporters who staged a heroic welcome for him on arrival to Ebonyi State after the Presidential Primary in Abuja.

He, however, commended delegates, Stakeholders, and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Ebonyi State for their massive support of his candidature during the just concluded All Progressives Party, APC, Presidential Primary.

Umahi said: “First, let me say to Ebonyi people, you are wonderful people, the Presidential election was a great eyeopener to every son and daughter of Ebonyi State and with your support, we fought very gallantly.

“I had series of meetings with the party’s chairmen in the five states of the zone, in the company of its national vice chairman. I implored on the delegates that the issue was not about me but the mood of the Igbos in the nation.

“I implored that they should vote for any South East aspirant so that when the votes are counted, we would not be missing.

“We would have made a strong statement in the process, that the Igbos are eminently qualified with due capacity to lead the country,

“There was no sort of lobbying I did not receive, but I maintained that it was about bringing the marginalisation of the Igbos to the fore.

“The setting of the Nation is well skewed against any contest for Igbo man, while every Zones has about eight States or more and South East has only five, how do you expect an Igbo man to win a contest under this kind of arrangement?

“Prof. Obiozor could not stand for Igbos when it mattered so much; it is a very big shame, I have no confidence in him and he is no longer my President.

“In the comity of South East, Ebonyi people are not regarded, I continue to say that Ebonyi will never be Biafra.

“I weep for our Leaders; we are now regarded as people that will sell anything for the sake of money, it is about equity, justice, and fairness upon which I continue to shout for the unity of this country.”

Umahi said he was no longer interested in South East agenda, but Ebonyi agenda only, assuring that he would fight publicly, anyone that fights against the interest of Ebonyi people.

“I am the Governor of Ebonyi State, the only agenda I have for South East now is Ebonyi Agenda, I continue to say that he who sells his brother, even the buyer will not trust him.

“Anyone that fights against the interest of Ebonyi people in the South East, I will fight the person Publicly, Ndigbo, get your PVC and bond together, you have seen that nobody wants you anymore, we have the fighting spirit and the spirit of our founding Fathers have been rekindled to fight for us.

“When Honourable people are needed in South East, they will come to Ebonyi State, everything is not money,” he concluded.

Each time in the history of Nigeria when a punching bag is required, Igbos will always offer themselves up.

I don't know if this is a curse, or just shortsightedness or mere coincidence.

1) pre-coup the west was experiencing a terrorist crisis ( almost similar to what UGM is doing) Nzeogu and friends offered themselves up to be used as punching bags.

2) Abacha VS Abiola, Nzeribe offered himself to be used

3) Jonathan vs Northern cabal, Igbos offered themselves again

4) Tinubu VS Atiku, the delusional Peter Obi presented himself again. instead of Igbos to do the same thing Yorubas always do in any South VS North affair (which is side with the north) they're wasting their time and energy on a fruitless endeavor.

Tinubu and His SWAGA companions would never Dare attack an Northern aspirant, point one Tinubu Supporter attacking Kwankwaso or Atiku.

Peter Obi and Igbos will always be targeted by Tinubuists and SWAGA, If one is following this election online it'll seem like the election is Between Peter Obi/Igbos VS Yoruba/Tinubu.

This is the time Igbos should Take the back seat and just Enjoy the ride, If Peter Obi drops out of the race today.
YOU'LL see the Yorubas will have nothing to campaign with or against, even the northerners that are Political are not Attacking Atiku and his major party, every Ammunition is targeted at Peter Obi and Igbos.

Igbos have Sense, Tell Peter Obi to drop out, the single thing that can bring all Nigerians together is to be Anti-Igbo don't help them strengthen that Anti-Igbo Unity for another 8years, Support Atiku or Tinubu, choose one side, don't allow Peter Obi to run.
Above thought process is one of the reasons Nigeria is called basket of fools.

*LET TINUBU BE… By Prof. Michael Ogueke*

I don’t know why those from South-east and South-south where Tinubu did not rule as governor are those that abuse Tinubu most whenever his name is been mentioned. Some of them couldn’t even remember their governors between 1999-2007 again but Tinubu’s name always ring bell in their ears.

Tinubu’s immunity expired in 2007 and PDP left govt in 2015. Tinubu was without immunity for good 8 years under PDP, yet, Obasanjo,Yardua and Jonathan had nothing to rope him in as a criminal. Even Nuhu Ribadu did not probe him under Obasanjo. Three (3) EFCC chairmen (Ribadu, Farida Waziri and Lamorde) couldn’t trace anything incriminating against Tinubu between 2007 — 2015 but you want him probed now. Has he taken any contract from state or federal govt that he has not executed? Has anybody reported him for financial crime? You always refer to Tinubu’s companies as if he had no means of livelihood before becoming governor.

Tinubu was an Executive Director/board member of Mobil Oil Producing before he joined politics. Obasanjo and Atiku established private universities as sitting President and Vice President. Obasanjo established Presidential Library as a sitting President. Atiku sold shares of companies to himself as VP and Chairman of Privatisation Council. Peter Obi took state money to support family business as Governor of Anambra. Yet, these people are your heroes. When other former governors were busy shipping their states resources abroad & developing foreign economies, Tinubu was busy establishing his businesses in Nigeria. Those companies are employing several hundreds of bread winners in Nigeria.

He met Lagos IGR at about N600m per month and he left it at N12 – 14bn per month. When Obasanjo seized Lagos allocations despite Supreme Court judgement against Obasanjo, Tinubu was paying salaries and pensions regularly for three and half years that it lasted. It was Yardua that paid the allocation to Fasola’s govt. Tinubu used his initiative to create LASTMA and Obasanjo in his copy cat attitude moved ahead to create FERMA.

Those of you that always criticise Tinubu because of envious hate, when will you start criticising Ikpeazu who has not been paying salaries and pensions Abia with no single project to show in Abia. Why did you not say Tinubu was corrupt in 2011 when he supported Goodluck Jonathan? Did He not win Jonathan govt at code of conduct tribunal when he was charged? Tinubu this and Tinubu that as if he is your Governor or President. If you are abusing Tinubu because he is sponsoring APC, Is Atiku not using money to sponsor PDP and his Presidential project? Where is he also getting the money from? Where did he get all the dollars he spent during APC Presidential primary in 2014 and PDP presidential primary of 2018?

Tinubu is no longer a Governor and neither is he the President but he is your problem. When Tinubu was busy building his political structures since 2003 after PDP rigging in south-west, Where were you? When he gave Atiku his party to use for his Presidential project in 2006/2007, where were you? When he was busy building bridges across 6 geo political zones, where were you? In 2015, you all mocked when Ahmed Lawan and Gbajabiamila lost out the leadership of national assembly to Saraki and Dogara. He was not disturbed. He moved on till he was successful in 2019.

When he was bringing up Babachir Lawal and Boss Mustapha (former and current SGF) in ACN, where were you? When he was doing these, Bode George was calling him a local champion but now the local champion in his tenacity has built a national ruling party, you are envious. Tell us your governor that performed better than Tinubu. Your Peter Obi couldn’t build APGA in South-east. Instead, he defected to PDP to kill APGA.

Let Tinubu Be! He is not your problem!! Your past & present governors are your problem!!!
Another typical and idiotic fool, I meant a Nigerian on the loose. Why the people of south-east and south-south not abuse Tinubu? If Tinubu has the aspiration to govern south-west in Nigeria, nobody from south-east or south-south should give ratass about it. However when the base is Nigeria, Tinubu remains an open season.
Politics › Re: Why Candidate Obi May Fail By JULIUS OGUNRO by Idiko1: 8:43am On Jun 12, 2022
Maxymilliano:
After my last Facebook post analyzing Peter Obi’s Labour Party chance in the next presidential election, I received a lot of flaks from friends and followers for concluding that his chance is indeed bleak. The common phrases that were thrown at me include ‘jaundice analysis’, ‘warped reasoning’ and ‘lazy thinking’. I have sympathy for these friends, many of whom are wary of the two major political parties and see in Obi a chance to change the trajectory of our country.

I agree with them that much. Our country indeed needs to change. We need a break. In the last seven years or so, everything that could go wrong with our country has gone wrong and worsened. The economy has tanked. Public education is increasingly being abandoned for the desperately poor who have no choice. Insecurity has become the norm and people are now inured to the heartrending stories of kidnappings, bombings and killings.

The government has so far failed to tackle these problems. Outside the perfunctory press statements from Garba Shehu and Femi Adeshina, there is no sign that the government is aware of the difficulty ordinary Nigerians face, much less how to provide real solutions. So we indeed need a change. But while Obi may represent the true fiscal discipline and economic know-how that our country desperately needs, he lacks the political muscle to get elected and push his agenda.
Here is why.

What we practise in Nigeria is regarded as identity politics. Ethno-religious factors triumph over political ideology and economic know-how. This, in simple English, means that people vote based on ethnic and religious considerations more than any other factor.

In the 1979 and 1983 elections, Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Dr Nnamdi Azikwe were the more knowledgeable presidential candidates on the ballot. They both had a string of university degrees, had written books and had well-articulated positions on the economy and politics. That meant little in the elections.

The political parties of both men were regarded as representing the western and eastern regions respectively and so had little support in the north. It didn’t matter that Awolowo was an economic wizard who could have put Nigeria on the development map, or that Zik was a liberal with no provincial bone in his body. They lost. Twice. So, being intelligent and saying the right things don’t get people elected nationally in Nigeria. Even a pedigree of accomplishments doesn’t guarantee success in national polls. If it did, Awolowo or Zik would have been elected as president ahead of Shehu Shagari.

The reason for this, if you ask me, is that the Nigerian identity is weak. If you ask people to categorize their identities in order of priority, their ethnicity, religion, and perhaps gender and political affiliation would come ahead of the Nigerian identity. So people tend to have an affinity for political parties that are regarded as ‘’our own,’’ which have been adopted by significant members of their ethnic group.

This is why the political revolution which happened in France with Emmanuel Macron in 2017 is unlikely to occur in Nigeria just yet. France is a highly civilized country with a high literacy rate. Most citizens of the country consider themselves French before anything else. So, what was important to the French voters were the issues of the economy, immigration, continued integration with Europe and so on. Macron has a better grasp of these issues and was therefore elected twice.

That is not the case with Nigeria. A lot of our people are uneducated and un-empowered, and so seek immediate gratifications during elections. They actively seek and get bribed to vote. This is not even an open secret. It is therefore very unlikely for a candidate to win a presidential election based on a superior argument alone. Cash triumphs over reason and long-term good.

Back to Obi, it is hard to see how he can win with the arguments I articulated above, in addition to his lack of widespread support across the country. Yes, his candidacy is trending online and appears to have become owned by young Nigerians and the ‘#EndSARS’ generation. But I am not swayed. Real electioneering is a different kettle of fish compared to going viral on social media.

Sure, Obi will make a significant impact, similar to what President Muhammadu Buhari made pre-APC when he contested three times and lost. Even then, Buhari had more entrenched support in the north than Obi does have now in the south. Yet, he lost three times. He only managed to win when he became pragmatic and aligned with ‘strange bed fellows’ – other political parties – to form the APC, a party with national spread and support]/b].

[b]The enthusiasm of Obi’s supporters today is similar to that of Buhari’s pre-APC. With Buhari easily filling up stadia in Zaria and Maiduguri, his fanatical supporters could not but wonder how he lost with such ‘massive support’. They were fooled by the optics. Outside his home base, the then Candidate Buhari lacked critical support in far-flung places such as Okrika (in Rivers state), Southern Ijaw (in Bayelsa state) and Bende (in Abia), among other places in the south.

Obi’s supporters are in a similar bind, convinced by the swelling online and offline support that their candidate is destined for Aso Rock. But ask them, who is canvassing for Obi in Fika local government in Yobe, for instance? Or in Gassol local government in Taraba? Who would get out the votes for him in those places? No one?

The fact is no candidate can win the presidential election without substantial political investments and support from across the country. As it stands now, Obi does not have that depth and plurality of support and so, cannot win.

So, I restate that for the opposition to have a chance in 2023, they would need to do what all the legacy parties that gave birth to the APC did pre-2015: merge and support one strong presidential candidate. Outside that, they stand no chance.

https://www.thecable.ng/why-candidate-obi-may-fail/amp
I had wished the goon who wasted internet bandwidth on the above crap remembered PDP is the main opposition party to APC. Also, I would want Yoruba to focus on Atiku and PDP and leave Obi and LP alone.

But no Igbo candidate resigned to support another through strategic agreement.

Anyim had only his states delegates. Abia delegates voted Wike, Enugu state delegates voted Wike. Anambra and Imo delegates voted Atiku.

But you all cried powers must return South and it should even be South East

You would like to say SE candidates are not a threat so why waste votes on them instead of giving it to a more likely winner and sign pact.

No, you build on that loss, along the line other regions will aknowledge that strong man whom you all support and vote for him.

That was how Buhari was winning his northern states and losing elsewhere till help came.

You wrote like a typical Nigerian. Biafra/Nigeria civil war is still raging, and it can only stop when shithole called Nigeria is disintegrated. Only a foolish Igbo or Biafran thinks the war ended in 1970. One wonders what happened to VP to Buhari who is a Yoruba.

⏩⏩Igbo want the presidency handed
to them on a platter without making
any political sacrifice.

Obasanjo's coming to power in 1999 was
as a beneficiary of the sacrifice his
fellow Yoruba, MKO Abiola made.✔️✔️☑️

Buhari coming to power was partially
because of his 3 times, I2 years struggle, campaign, and legal battles with the
then ruling PDP.

Today again, Yoruba are well positioned
for presidency in the APC because of the
political calculation & financial sacrifice
they made in creating APC and bringing
a president to power. Apart from Amaechi,
no prominent person of Igbo extraction
was in the APC at creation or made any
reasonable contribution to its emergence.

In its year of coming to power, in 2015,
the APC was totally rejected by the Igbo at the polls, Apart from Okorocha who managed to
squeeze in a governorship mandate. In
my opinion, Owelle Rocha's should have
been better treated by APC ( Oshiomole to
blame though. ☹️☹️☹️☹️

Now that APC is in power, PDP members
of Igbo extraction that have completed
various governorship terms have decamped
to APC to come and contest for president,
and crying marginalization.

Truth is, there is no single Igbo man that
Igbos will rally under if he wins a presidential
primary. We all know that petitions and
rejection that the Igbo visited at the
emergence of Peter Obi as Atiku's VP
candidate in 2019 polls.❌❌❌❌
The bolded is arrant nonsense. Obasanjo would never have become a president if the fight was left in hands of Yoruba. The Yoruba did not vote for him. Obasanjo was never a candidate the Yoruba supported. There is no growth with Nigeria including the political process.

Why didn't you come out and say it to the whole world....

However the way igbo politicians in APC talk sometime baffles me. It seems that they have lost touch with home. Are they saying that they don't know the distain of the average igbo towards APC since 2014? Are they also not aware of how the emergence of Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB has hurt the chances of any igbo politician in both PDP and APC as we march towards 2023?

Like Peter Obi....like Ogbonnaya Onu.... like OUK.... like Nwajiuba

I am Igbo too but I know when to tell myself the gospel truth
They have become dumbasses because of selfishness and Abuja acculturation.

Would you still have the shithole called Nigeria by this date? Most Nigerians lacked common sense.
