GodownchildamI: Silent Reader now in d building!!!!! Somewhat Long Post Alert!!!! Its PPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Background Before I embark on the journey of my story, let me first give thanks to whom all praise, honour, glory and adoration is due; the most high God, my refuge, me Shield, my Buckler, lover of my soul, my Maker, my present help in time of trouble, my Deliverer, Jehovah, Yahweh, the I AM that I AM, glorious God, awesome wonder. I have always been a diehard fan of Nigeria, things are getting better and there is no need to move to another country I always said. In fact, I believed naija was the best place to make it, looking at my father’s success story. “I’d rather make my millions here and go on vacation than relocate permanently”, I used to tell myself and all who cared to hear. My husband on the other hand has been talking about this move since we got married. I just always shrug it off. I can’t remember how many times we said we would register for the exam; once he starts like that, I will nod in agreement with him so that the story and preaching will not start, then I won’t say anything about it again and we will move on. It wasn’t until one blessed day in August 2018, had a get together with former colleagues and then I realised that almost everyone was in the process; that’s excluding other people I know who had either gotten PPR or were in the process. Then I asked myself “Babe, if all the sane people you know in this country move to Canada, you would be left with touts and the likes to run the country and it will not be fun at all”. The was the turning point for me. When I got home I told him this country is in big trouble as most of the bright minds (I know) are moving and me, I cannot be caught dead here when there is no one left. The following day being a Saturday, I registered for IELTS. Being that I wasn’t too confident about my level of preparedness, I gave myself 2 months to prepare (wrong decision, cos by the end of September, I was already tired of preparing). So, I registered for the Oct 27th, 2018 exam, with BC (did not know about IDP then). About a week or 2 after, I registered with WES, thankfully, I have a foreign degree, so this was a breeze. In preparing for IELTS, one of my friends sent me some links so study materials and one of those links was the link to study materials on page 1 on part 5 or 6 can’t remember again. Nosey me started snooping around the thread and gradually started following to the point of addiction (read when I get to the office before I start my day’s work and then before I go to bed at night). At a point hubby banned me from reading this thread, but for where, I was still following, just don’t check when he’s around. TIMELINES: IELTS: Nov 8, 2018 LRWS – 8.5, 8, 7, 8 (one attempt, thank God) ECA: Oct 20, 2018 Created a profile: Nov 12, 2018 (in readiness for ITA that day, but who sigh) CRS: 451 ITA: Nov 15, 2018 Medicals (Qlife): Dec 7, 2018 Family Size: 2 AOR: Dec 23, 2018 Med Passed: Feb 2, 2019 Biometrics done: Feb 5, 2019 ADR (RPRF): Feb 15, 2019 (paid same day) Silence………. Raised CSE Apr 1, 2019. Got response on the Apr 3; VO: ACCRA (Weakness fell upon me) Silence…….. IP2: May 14, 2019 PPR: May 20, 2019
Awesome testimony!! Big congratulations! |

Stencil: hmmm I need to look into this consulting thing. @Tops.mamen @Ifeo.ma77 I'm ready when you are, I have a feeling we'd make a great team. LadyM.arshall can run logistics.
Bu.my, knowing your profile could help give you a better answer. Your age, degree, years of work experience etc. An overall band of 7 isn't enough these days to secure ITA. You'd need to score 8777 (LRWS). Kindly provide us with more details to better assist you. PS: The tool your "consultant" used to calculate your CRS is this one. Use it and play around with it to see the best option for you and your family. Good luck!
Hehehehehehehehehe Ayam ready! And remember, we charge in CAD. They have to get used to spending Canadian dollars and it's our solemn responsibility to help in this regard 3 Likes |

IseeJoy: PPR CLINCHED! ITA 8/8/18 AOR 17/9/18 S I L E N C E GHOST UPDATE 17/5/19 PPR MAIL 17/5/19 Approximately 8 months post AOR
Our (my wife and I)decision to relocate to Canada was based on many factors. We were also motivated by our siblings in the diaspora who are soaring high in their various fields.
IELTS This was done with BCIE which wasn’t a smooth sail for me. I didn’t study much cos I felt it would be a walk in the park since it’s ‘english’ but I didn’t know ielts had plans to humble me. Score was SLWR 7,6.5.6.5,7. My wife passed hers! I wasn’t deterred. I immediately registered with MOD and took the test 1 month later and after much intensified jacking, I passed with the minimum required score 8777.
MEDICALS This was done at IOM Maitama Abuja, sometime in August 2018. I had to do a sputum test/culture after they found a scar on my chest X-ray (Trying and tempting times). My medicals was finally passed in November 2018, 3 months after AOR.
PCC We got our police certificates from the Force HQ in Abuja. I paid 20k for my wife and I. I also obtained PCC from the UK
ECA We used WES for both undergraduate and masters degree
WORK REFERENCES We got the CIC format for references and asked senior colleagues from our organizations to write this for us. Attached payslips, offer letters etc.
POF My wife and I combined funds to invest in tbillz for a 6 month period. Submitted the certificate with 6 months bank statement.
Then the wait... Boy! I lost count of how many times I logged into my CIC account. Ordered 1st GCMS on 23rd feb Ordered 2nd GCMS on 27th March Both notes were basically the same thing. No difference and it was very evident that our file had not been touched. We also called CIC (3 times) and each time we spoke to them it was the same cliche of our file Being in que and waiting to be reviewed by an officer.
This past week on Friday I got a ghost update saying application/profile updated. Woke up the next morning on Saturday and saw the PPR Mail sitting pretty in my mail box.
In closing, At every stage you find yourself in be it ITA, AOR, ECA, re writing IELTS, awaiting PPR etc just keep pushing and understand you are a step closer to your goal. Delay is not denial, it will end in praise.
Thank you @ifeo.ma77 for your assistance.
Congrats again, I am so freaking happy for you 1 Like |

newbie4c: Good day everyone, am so happy to be here. I need some clarifications before i start my Canadian EE journey please. 1) I started my MA studies in dec 2012 later i gained employment in nov. 2013 both on full time. how to i support this in my application? 2) i have a stepchild ( whose mother is late), can the child relocate with me as a dependent 3) i had my baby in the US in 2015, i actually spent like 5 months with visiting visa because i was given 6 months at the POE and i paid all my bills cash down. I still had my job during the period. Unfortunately, i was refused renewal of visa multiple times on the basis that the hospital gave me a discount. I got in contact with the hospital and I was told that it's her policy to give discount once you make self payment but till now, i have not been able to get US visiting visa. My question is, will this affect my chances of getting Canadian PR?
I will appreciate if i can get answers to all these my questions because i am so worried. Thank you.
1. Capture it like that, it's not a problem. 2. Yes 3. Absolutely not |

Inloveforever: Hi all, I received PPR a while ago but theres an issue. the validity of the visa i was issued expires in July whereas my passport expires in 2024 while medical reaching one ear in October. Has anyone else experienced something like this? should i contact IRCC because this means i have to land before the end of july while i had planned for september. any advise? also if anyone has the link to where IRCC states that validity of visa will be to passport or medicals, please post it. Thank you I hope you're not using the date of MEP as your medical date? Because usually, the visa is tied to the day you went to the hospital for the tests. In any case, stick to the expiry date on the visa. Don't take any chances. 5 Likes 1 Share |

zorro101: Congratulations @topsma.men. Great work you have been doing on the thread, ever since your sister @du.mprep called you out from being behind the scenes in that her delicious PPR testimony. You were a pillar for her and have been doing similar to people on here. You sure are a great fellow. God bless you, and I'm sure he would go ahead of you to make way for you over there.
I am just gonna do as if I didn't give a side eye that it was hep.hgirl that announced your PPR arrival. If it was gonna be anybody else, one would have hoped for it to be ifeom.a77. I had to recheck the poster. I was rooting (fighting) for her.
Guess writing funnily and dramatically runs in the family. You and your sister wrote interesting stories, drawing beautiful pictures with your words.
I hope we get to meet and hangout some day over there.
