If your friend hasn't realized up till ths moment that religion is a fraud, then there's no point giving my opinion. I was once an adent believer and follower of religion. When my wife gave birth to our first child, we planned to do the child's dedication in my then church (St Michael Anglican church Coker), before my wife could resume work. When I went to the church office to book for a date, a register was brought out and scanning through the names, my name was there quite right, but they claimed that I didn't pay an average of what I was supposed to pay in a year as a member. They now calculated what they thought I should pay. I had no problem with that but the only problem was that there was no money at that time. In fact, the doctor in whose hospital my wife gave birth in, was so kind that he not only reduced my bill but also collected part of the bill and allowed us to go and bring the balance later on. I was so devastated to learn that a church that ordinarily should be a place of succor became a thorn in the flesh instead. All my plea for them to take the little money i had on me and promises to bring the balance when things get better fell on deaf ears. I was so downcast because I was one of those people that so much believed on religious doctrines. That single event opened my eyes and made my to start asking questions. To cut the story short, I am a free man till this day. Free from the scam called religion. My research on religion and God proved that God is real, but religion is a fraud.

oga you see this ur story? Is extactly what my friend passed through when she wanted to do her child's dedication------ and I begin to wonder, isn't the church supposed to be our place of refuge?

You are on point, my intension isn't to demonize the church that is why I see no point mentioning the name of the church. My interest is to get good counsel for my friend regarding what to do to get his wedding done.

See ur friend, see 20th-----pls he should have the wedding in he's wife to be's church, or the reception venue or have a court wedding anyone that pleases them both. Ur friend pays he's tithe, and God knows it----he doesn't deserve this kind of stress on top of the stress he's passing through already. God cannot be mocked, he ll make a way for him out of this in the presence of the pastor.

My vexation here is that this guy pays he's tithe but just doesn't have a tithe card--------i pay my tithe but I don't have a tithe card. I don't involve myself with things that concern pastors etc but this particular pastor is trying my patience! How can he say hw won't wed them?? Is he God? Or doesn't he know that he's trying to play God n no man can play God. Who is he bikonu Onye?? Even if the guy is lying, its not in he's place to judge! Wether he pays he's tithe or not let him leave God to arrange him own matter. Pls op tell your friend to have that wedding in he's wife to be's church, he should rem that wedding is but for a day, what he should focus on working n making beauitful is he's Marriage.
