Hello house, good day! I am making this inquiry on behalf of a friend. He just concluded a Bachelors in Computer Science and wants a heads up on possible courses to start looking at.... TAFE courses that could possibly enable one to apply for PR afterwards (I am aware Computer Science is not on the 189 or 190 list). Thanks.

Wow!!!!! What a year!!!! It's being a packed 365 days....
Lived in 3 cities...
Moved 3 times...
Done 6 jobs and currently doing the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th!
Moved from serious uncertainty to certainty!
Moved from struggling seriously just to have the basics to having the basics and nearly taking it for granted!
Moved from being in debt to not being indebted!
Moved from wishing to be a blessing to actually being a blessing!

Best year so far.....can see it's my turning point!

God's hand is written and imprinted all over these!

2018 is gonna be better and that is for me and all my friends!

Happy new year in advance my friends! May 2018 be the best so far for us!

Hello, what are your qualifications and experience? You need to assess if you are eligible using the DIPB points. If you are, then you need to assess you qualification with the appropriate assessing body, you need to write an English exam, and provide other documents.

Meanwhile, I learnt that Sydney is so beautiful that the temptation of viewing the scenery might force person to trek to work for like 2 hours. Jamson, mctowel01, Bnimz, ifexsco, and others, is this so?
ZoeW, congrats, that's the forerunner, the remaining go be...

Lol....Mamajaz who tell you like that say Sydney is so beautiful? Ok....this is my take.....I was a bit disappointed the day I landed, guess my expectations were so high. Having said that, the place wey fine fine, the place wey wowo wowo! The place that is just there also full. The city is definitely beautiful with the high rise buildings and the very ancient architecture.

My people....being a while! The journey so far.... I and my family landed Sydney 29th December 2016. I bin know as my pocket be, so I sharply go do construction white card and began doing labourer work. On the other hand I started very enthusiastically with professional job search, applying for all available petroleum engineering jobs and other allied positions....Brethren one month became 2 and 2 became 3.....the responses were all negative! "We thank you for taking out time to apply....unfortunately you have been unsuccessful at this time....blah blah bla.....however we will keep your details on our database blah blah bla". I got so discouraged, stopped applying, and went deep into the labourer work as man had to survive. I started thinking of doing my Phd and made some applications. Along the line I applied for a role in a car modification company amd that was the first and only semi-professional interview i was invited for. Went and was told I didn't have the needed experience but they were willing to trying me out in the workshop and see where they could fit me. I was of the mind that this might be God and may be my opportunity. I informed my construction agency that I am quitting. Went to the workshop and hadn't even finished the first day of work when I was told I dont have basic knowledge of tools...the company doesn't have the resources to train from scratch and that my services are no longer required. I sharperly called my construction agency people and I was accepted back to the fold and advised to quit dreaming. This continued till May when through my good friend and by "packaging", I landed a causual position as a computer technician....I have not done anything similar before....but as it turned out, its not rocket science and if you put your heart to it, you will get it.....I actually got good in it at least the hardware part.....it was good will it lasted....break from back breaking construction work, money for travel, hotel lodging, hire car etc....but then the end came and in order to be kept within the fold, I was sent to go and do desktop support....again I had no idea of what it involved. But God gave me a wonderful Indian superior, Senthil who taught me from scratch and most importantly covered my ass.... But then no be because of causual job I come Australia....Admission to PhD program arrived and I left and went and did cert III in preparation so I can do it by the side and be earning.

So I took a difficult decision and moved from Sydney to Perth to start my PhD at Curtin University. Person bin don dey set root for ground for Sydney small small....its going on fine, keeps getting better.... I can see better days ahead....I can feel it within my bones!

Hope this encourages someone....it may not be easy but keep at it....it only gets better.

One way you can do it is to transfer money to someone in Australia who has a Visa debit card and he/she will make the online payment for you....that is after you have uploaded every requested documents.

I think the best thing is to discover what and what are tested at the medicals. Maybe get to Fatayi Williams and ask. No questions on that was asked by immigration.

[quote author=hallelluyah post=52740582]Attention All,
please I would like to ask if it is possible for only me to apply for the PR considering the whopping sum involved as Visa fees of AUD8,100 if I am to apply as a family.

It's much cheaper and convenient to apply as a family at once. Child visa fees is crazy. Try hustle. ....but 8100 AUD big o and with all these transfer hassles! God will help you!

Dear Expats in the house, ha

All this document has previously been provided to them. For the form 80 and 1221, i made a mistake which i promptly corrected using notification of incorrect information.
DIBP no dey read mail....I experienced this severally. You have no option but to send them again and follow it up with a call soon after. Sending them a mail saying those things have been sent doesn't hasten things in anyway....your file has already gone below the pile by now.

Bros why na?

You don't have to say that on a public domain regardless of whether or not it is a fact or a fiction.

Some of us never get grant ooo...not to talk of reaching port of entry.. make dem no start to dey subject us to any unnecessary harassment on top 1k yellow card

Lolzzzz. .....don't think I told them we just buy the card without vaccination. That part was not part of the conversation.

All the fuzz about yellow card.....in the haste to get to the airport, we couldn't go to port health, moreover it was a public holiday. The check-in at MMA asked, I said we didn't have. There was no further questions. Same scenario played out at Sydney airport. This confirms an article I had read saying it's recommended but not a ground to refuse you entry.
Moreover most of us don't vaccinated with the yellow fever vaccine, they pay airport cleaners to get the card.

MY EXPERIENCE .......

Hello e-fam....greetings from Sydney Australia! !! We landed yesterday (2pm Sydney time) 5 hours behind schedule. Delay started from MMA due to refuelling and we saw it's grand Father for dubai; no aircraft!

Beautiful houses and country. ...that's all I can say for now.
Booked a room through flatmates.com.au; my host picked us up after Johnsontade couldn't due to the delay we had. My okporoko, stock fish and uda were seize because it wasn't grinded.

Go and buy 'i pass my neighbour ' generator plug and fix it to your Nigerian extension, it is same with the Australian plug. This will allow you use your chargers and other appliances.

Hustle don start....get across to people and let them know what you need. They are generally willing to assist; had to ask and used someone's phone at the airport.

Whether you will claim points for experience or not, your career episodes and the place the experience was acquired needs to be verifiable. IT must have given you a letter of appointment/acceptance, maybe bank statement showing the remittance of your salary/allowance by the company. Just think of other documents that may help validatensure your episodes.

Please house, do you need any evidence if you don't want to claim points on any carrier episode based on experience. If YES, what form of evidence will suffice for career episodes based on 6 month undergraduate internship and one year NYSC.
Will appreciate your prompt responses pls.
Many thanks
