Christianity Etc › Re: 6 reasons why it is Easier to Make Heaven Than to end Up In Hell.(Must read) by IForgotMyLoginD(f): 9:30am On Sep 29, 2017 |
This is where u got it wrong. I don't think we don't have much to do again. We do. But with the help and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, it is easy. How can u get empowerment and still struggle? You can only struggle with sin if your eye still dey chook outside. As my eye no dey chook, every time I get tempted, I run to the Spirit. I enjoy my walk with Christ cos it's fun. Not hardship like you say. And do I like sin? NO. Cos he who loves God, hates sin. gentlegenius: How can you think that we don't have much to do again for salvation because Jesus died for us? Even though God forgives sins, you don't consistently live a life of sin and expect to make heaven. If you don't know the conditions for heaven, quote me and I'll show you where to read it in the Bible. |

What has common sense got to do with this? Must you leave a harsh comment? Yes the way is narrow... But with the help of the Holy Spirit, God's nature becomes our nature because we are born of God. So it becomes easy to shun evil. Temptation and trials will come but we cling to God cos he is our life! Deut 30:20The narrow gate can be interpreted to mean the 'unpopular route'. The world sees fornication as normal, but cos we are on the narrow path, we know what it is, and abstain. Jesus said His yoke is easy, and burden light. So pls stop seeing the godly life as hardship. Nothing good comes easy. Jesus already did the hard part. He paid the price. He suffered and died. Our part is to cling to him. How hard can that be? Na wa for you o oga. gentlegenius: Common sense should remind you about the natural Law that "Nothing good comes easy". If heaven is a good place, then even a non believer who has never read the Bible should know that it won't be easy to get there. And you that reads the Bible should know this: "Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few" (Matthew 7:13-14). |

I rather ask for forgiveness everyday and have God say (when I get to heaven) "oh girl, na wa for you o. Na every time you just dey disturb me with forgiveness prayer after I don wipe am tey tey " ...than NOT ask because I assumed my salvation is once and for all and then get to heaven and find out say my name no dey book of Life cos of one tiny sin wey I commit(God forbid) . Better to be safe than sorry. doughziay: C.Pray always for forgiveness of sins knowing you can not be sinless.
Do we ask for the forgiveness of substance already forgiven? once you are in christ Jesus, irrespective of our sins, God has forgiven us in advance and forever it is never a licence to keep on with sin. The reason why St. Paul said, 'Shall we continue in sin that the Grace of God may abound? God Forbid! |

Nice write up. In addition, whosoever is born of God does not commit sin... 1 John 3:9.
That's not to say we're all perfect... We all sin, but as long as it's not intentional, then running back to God genuinely will gain us forgiveness.
But if we intentionally commit sin, and we go meet Papa with intention to sin again, He sees our hearts... Knows our thoughts.... We'll be blocking the Holy Spirit from helping us.
I used to smoke. I tried to quit, e no happen. I always went back... Born again and all o. But still dey smoke cigga.
Until one day, I invited Jesus to help me. Just like that, this is over 10months now without cigarette. I didn't even have any withdrawal symptoms for one day.

Hi sir, I would say, pls don't be too quick to suspect your wife. Little drops of distrust, makes a mighty ocean of marital issues that could have been avoided.
Pray. Talk. And treat her like a queen and not a suspect.
You know your wife better than anybody on NL. Don't let strangers tell you what's the best thing to do.
Good luck. |

You hurt yourself when you harbour bitterness or hatred towards somebody. No matter how deserving that person is, the best thing to do is learn to forgive.
For every action, there is a reward. Both your philandering dad and also you. Good or evil, what you get depends on you. So pls, leave your dad. If he doesnt change, life will gift him with the repercussions of his actions. For now he's free to see other people and hopefully stay faithful to one. If not.... Karma is always ready.
You can only pray for him. He's your dad. May your mom's soul rest in peace. She's in a better place. |
Politics › Re: "Release Nnamdi Kanu's Corpse If You Have Killed Him"- Kanu's Brother Tells Army by IForgotMyLoginD(f): 10:24am On Sep 27, 2017 |
Everybody is fighting for a cause. Whether they are justified or not - Biafra (For freedom) ; FG (fighting to avoid Nigeria splitting).
Whatever the motive behind the fight is, just or unjust, clean or shady, sacrificial or selfish, One thing should be avoided - loss of innocent lives. Our speech can incite a war.
About Nnamdi Kanu's whereabouts, truth is, he might have escaped to a safe house somewhere. And if he is, for now it will be risky for him to make contact with the outside world. So for a fact that no one seems to know his whereabouts don't mean he is dead.
So pls can his brother stop making claims and accusations that can incite violence?
The Biafra secret service is there. If they don't know where their leader is, here is their opportunity to do their job. Simple. |

The RC show is called Whispers. I used to follow it when Jennifer jluv was the host. I never missed it! I miss her on the show. pomide: Hi NLs, straight to point? What are the best radio shows to listen to or to look forward to in Lagos?
I've tried searching online, but the only thing I see 'top 10 radio stations'
let me try to drop a radio show I always look forward to,
1. Cool FM 96.9fm, Weekdays 3-4pm, DJ Xclusive 1 Hour mix of various genre of songs... always fun!
2. RC 102.3fm, around 12-3am or there about, I dont know it's name but people always call in with different life problems (jeez, people get problems o, especially romantic problems), anyways, the host, a deep male voice guy, tries to give best advice, sometimes he's so strict and stern on callers, I pity the callers..
anyways I'm looking forward to discovering new interesting shows airing on different stations, and it's practically impossible to listen all radio stations at once. |
Crime › Re: Woman Stealing A Bag At RCCG Church In Lagos Caught (Photos, Video) by IForgotMyLoginD(f): 11:03am On Sep 20, 2017 |
I do not encourage stealing. Especially in the church. But Paul the Apostle in 1Cor 6 said we should resolve cases like this within the church. He said, DO NOT take a brother/sister to court or to unbelievers to settle.
A situation like this is perfect room to show the act of forgiveness Jesus talked about; to preach the Gospel to her; and mentor her into becoming a vessel for God.
OR
Cast out the demon causing her to steal.... OR break the curse if it were a curse.
No matter how rampant stealing is in the church, this is never the way to treat a thief caught in the house of God. |

NONEXISTENT. (MOWE) INTERMAN: In my area in ile-ife we now enjoy almost 24hrs power supply. At least half of the day and above. Mostly more than half a day of electricity. As i have said sometimes 24hrs unstop. In the past the only place we enjoy such power is on OAU campus.
But now, power is now better even outside campus. Now i save money for nepa bill every month even as a student because they are just too good. No need to rush to charge phones , no fear of light been taken out in the night. Candles and kerosene stove now close to been useless.
How is it in your area? Hope you are equally enjoying power supply like me? |

You were not there but if you "read" the video well like a sensible human being that is not looking to make mischief will do you will see that the lady was probably "enjoying" the "music" before (paying) giving the alms. She was just enjoying herself and the singers were enjoying the dance too. Nobody was being dehumanized!!! You could see that she was holding some naira notes in her left hand.
Why give someone bad image just to make a fast one?!!! You need to hear some of these hausa women with sweet voice sign this "song" and you will want to dance (used to love the song when I was little). My prayer for you is that may you find misery and bankruptcy whenever you DELIBERATELY and falsly paint someone bad just to make a little "dough". Ise!!! |
