Ok lemme try this in defence of the men of God with security details, they are needed for
1. Crowd control - a man of God billed to preach at 2pm, arrives at 1.30pm without security, will be swamped by faithfuls who just want to touch the servant of God. He can be stuck in the crowd for hours .....

2. In reference to #1, for TIME MANAGEMENT. - a servant of God can have like 5 events to grace in one day, so he needs to breeze in and breeze out without much obstruction. He needs security details to be able to do that.

3. For security - Popular adage of "do your best, and leave the rest to God"... " God helps those who help themselves".... Yes God's angels can strike anyone down who wants to harm the man of God, but all that can be avoided, and wicked people have a chance to repent of dem see security in place, wickedness fit no too hungry them. Lol.


Anyways, Jesus was always flanked by his disciples. Not just the 12, he also had 72 other disciples (Luke 10). And a few of them were armed. He didn't need Peter to defend him but Peter still used his weapon to cut off the priest's servants ear, when Jesus was arrested (John 18:10). The disciples still body-guarded Jesus and wanted to prevent children from coming close (Matt 19: 13), but Jesus stopped them. Only time Jesus was alone was when He wanted to pray. Not that He needed them for protection, but He was always flanked by them.

Just my little explanation....

I'm on #TeamTithe but I absolutely applaud the way Freeze responds. Without abusing or insulting anyone, or adding sentiment. He's always careful not to make it 'sentimental'.

All I want is for pastors to feed God's sheep.
The poor. The needy. The widows. The fatherless. The less privileged.

Feed them with both spiritual and physical (material ) food.

When the church is doing what we're supposed to do, nobody will complain about tithe or no tithes.

Billionaire pastors will still be billionaire pastors. You know why? Cos if truly they are Children or Servants of God, HE will bless them beyond imagination.

If tithes wer removed, members will still gift pastors with cars, houses, offerings, etc. So tithe isn't our problem.


One more thing, somebody do me a favour, and study the life of AARON. Moses' brother. He and his family got the largest portion of the Levites' portion. In their era, they wer 'Billionaire' priests!

So, can people stop letting the devil make us all lose focus? Instead of winning souls, we are busy all arguing about tithes or no tithes.

And he wants to do just what the woman accused him of doing after she has reversed her prayer.

I'm not in support of her former prayers, but I guess she saw it coming.

I have a close friend who defied her parent and married a guy (the man is crippled). Out of love she married him, worked with him to make his business grow..... And now after three kids, the man refuses to cater to his family. His faithful wife who worked and prayed for his business to flourish has been abandoned.


She stopped praying. She never prayed against him but she stopped praying. His business started to dwindle. A prophet told the man it's cos his wife isn't praying for him.

He quarrelled with her over it and she maintained she won't pray for him. Cos when the going is good, he spends it outside and not on her and the kids. Only thing he does is pay rent. She cries everyday. Even when the kids are sick, he doesn't care. He is never home.

So would you blame her? For refusing to pray?

Your brother's wife you say is a devout Christian. Maybe God showed her what He'll do for your brother and what he'll will turn to... And she said 'Father pls, nooo. '

I won't judge. But now that she's reversed the prayer, he wants to leave her. Ok.

My elder brother has been married to his wife about 14yrs now, the marriage is blessed with 3 boys.
His wife is not the kind of woman a lot of men will pray for but no one is perfect. My bro tells me things about his marriage that he won't even disclose to our parents, I am very close to him and he always seeks my opinion.

His wife is a devoted Christian... she attends almost all d church programs and never misses Church service every sunday.

They had a program in d Church and she invited the husband. My brother went to the program and the Pastor called him out and told him that God wants to bless him financially more than he will ever imagine but there is a voice crying to God not to bless him.

The pastor called the wife out and told her that she is the d one telling God not to bless her husband cos she thinks a lot of money in his hands will make him to misbehave and d wife said yes.

The pastor now asked my brother to promise that if God bless him with this huge amount of money will you promise not to misbehave and he said yes... the pastor now asked his wife to reverse the prayer she has been praying against her husband right there inside the Church so that God can bless him and she did.

Since that day my brother became restless, he couldn't believe that the woman under his roof is d one praying against his progress. He told me that he wants to divorce her so that he can be free from her negative prayers.

I don't really know what to tell him.

The issue of private jets has always been more for necessity and convenience in doing the mission work effectively, than a luxury.

Truth is, most of us complaining, CANNOT lift the cross these men bare.

BUT ON THE OTHER HAND, I would like to see these churches cater to the poor. Significantly.
That's the creed. That's why Jesus came. To help the helpless.

In as much as they want to also raise the bar in our standard of education, I would like to see the the ones who own Universities, make provision for the poor man's children to be able to attend without much sweat.

Sometimes they are busy running the administrative part of the church ,and doing the work of spreading GOD'S WORD, that they forget to pay attention to 'living the part of CHARITY'.

Let's go back to the days of the early church. Two things wer priority.
1. Spreading the Goodnews
2. Money to cater to the poor.

I understand where he's coming from. And I think this subject is just overflogged.

Whether it's called 'tithes' or 'goodwill offering' or 'sacrificial giving', the point FREEZE is trying to make is, most Pentecostal pastors are enriching themselves from the token or much people pay. Now, I feel he is fighting ignorantly. BECAUSE, even if we all scrap tithing, there are OTHER offerings churches collect that WILL STILL ENRICH THE PASTORS.

Away from tithing, it is even recorded in the Bible that the apostles lived off the proceeds of the gospel, even PAUL recorded as normal 1Cor 9:11 - 14

... EVEN PETER cursed people who didn't pay from their heart (Acts 5:9) , SOME IN THE NEW TESTAMENT even DIED because they sold their own property and didn't remit EVERYTHING (ACTS 5) .


U see, this fight is a fight that should just be left alone. If you are led to pay tithe and/or other offering, Pay. If not, leave it.


As for the pastors who lead God's flock, REMEMBER WHAT JESUS asked Peter in John 21: 15-17 (Loveth thou me more than these?.... Feed my lambs.) Jesus is calling you all not just to feed the Lamb with spiritual food, BUT TO ALSO help the poor in the fold.
