I believe the act is for a purpose - those that never believed in Christ will from this have a total believe, except they are strongly blinded by the devil.

Christ never abandoned those who truly believe and serve him. He is our shield and protector. He came that we might be saved, and we are saved because we believe.

Christians worship God the Almighty.

Members of certain denominations defend their pastors when you want you want to speak nonsense against them. Remember, this is not worship.

No child would allow another child to inflict insults on his father. These pastors are the spiritual fathers of their members.

Yes, most of the Christians are crazy about their pastors, because they (pastors) show them the way to salvation. They brought light into their lives.
BUT,
All worship goes to God Almighty.

Though we all are Xtians, certain things that exists or is trying to exist, shouldn't be.

In a local news this afternoon, it was reported that security men in Christ Embassy Church, Ikeja, Lagos, beat to nonsense two journalists (hitting all round their bodies and head with objects that one fainted) who wanted to take a picture of the church building. Unfortunately, they never did before these guys pounced on them.
Police later arrested those men.

Possibilities:
* There must be other Men-Of-God (resident pastors) around who must have seen the brutality but kept quite until things went out of hand.
* Since the place is a house of God, other worshippers must be around also and watched with keen interest.

This is not a castigation, but to put things in order. We should know the kind of people we keep around the church axis. Some people can tarnish the image of the Church, and they are not concerned because they never know Christ, to talk of believing.

Of a truth how you dress does not matter, but it matters. You're not just an ordinary person but a Christian (Christ-like) - both inwardly and outwardly you have to be decent, not causing the little ones to sin (those that are not strong in the Lord).

It is a pity that the church is going worldly instead of the world becoming churchly. Instead of the church teaching the world to emulate their way, they are now buying the behaviours and cultures of the world, that is why our sisters and brothers wear anything they like to church e.g. mini-skirt, leggings, show-belle, show-breast, show-chest, etc.

It is a believable fact that Christians are to be salt of the world. But when the salt loses its taste what will happen to it? It will be thrown away and trample upon!

Christians are also the light of the world which cannot be hidden. And when the light is put off, what will happen? Darkness will cover the place.

If we should have the understanding that what makes one to do evil against his brother or any other person is the evil spirit (enemy) working in one, then we shall re-direct our prayers.

I've never seen any pastor forced his hand into somebody's pocket or account to get money for tithe. You can only be preached to to pay your tithe. It's your interest whether to pay or not. Afterall, the Ten Commandment stated what we should do and not do, but we still go against them, not having any fear for God's punishment, how much less pastor's preachings about tithe? Wait a bit, do you know that most churches pay salaries to full-time pastors and other workers of the church. They also visit the less-privileged for help? Where do these monies come from?

Come to think of it, How much is the 10% or more or less you're crying for? Is it up to the amount you spend for just an outing with a girl-friend or other guys? Whether you pay tithe or not, God remains God, and the work of God must go forward. Not paying a tithe cannever stop the church from preaching the Good News.

People that believed in tithing should go ahead and tithe while the people that never believed or how they believe should go ahead and do so.

This could happen to any one else. You'll be surprised that one day you'll get home and found such merciless torment on any of your family members. Believe me, you'll still do nothing, except the uniformed authorities frowns at it.

am asking this because a girl friend of mine that attends Christ embassy speak in tongues very well and at any slightest opportunity to pray but she lives with her boyfriend who is also born again but does not speak in tongues.

She's not speaking in tongues, rather blasphemy (satan quoted the scripture for Jesus Christ). They are not born again if your findings were truth, rather 'born in sin'.

God has always wanted sinners to repent and turn back to Him, thus He sent prophets, Jesus Christ (His only begotten Son), apostles, etc. He has also used so many methods. In the old, people die when they disobey God. When Christ came, He introduced Grace. So you have chances of repentance (be careful lets you die before repentance).

You were not forced to. You were led to, but your interest is not there. Believe in Holy Ghost Baptism and you will receive, then you'll come back to confess it.

There are several verses that talk about purgatory even though the word is not mentioned.

1 Cor. 15:29-30 - Paul mentions people being baptized on behalf of the dead, in the context of atoning for their sins (people are baptized on the dead’s behalf so the dead can be raised). 13 Every man's work shall be manifest; for the day of the Lord shall declare it, because it shall be revealed in fire; and the fire shall try every man's work, of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide, which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work burn, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as by fire.

The Bible is not a mere novel that anybody can just read and understand. You need to bury your spirit in it so as to have an understanding from God. From your quotations, they are all in the reverse (please read from the beginning and pray for understanding before you start reading).

Others follow. Purgatory exists in the dictionary but in spiritual affairs. when one dies, next is judgement. Jesus Christ has died and made atonement for our sins. Whoever that refuses to repent and wait for final purification after death is on his own. NOT God's principle.

Do not use purgatory as a yard stick for sin, that you'll undergo final purification after death. YOU LIE!!!

This is becoming more interesting than ever. BUT, in the course of learning let us not judge or condemn. Leave those to the mighty discernment of God. Let none take this as a betrayal of self or religion, but as a reformative adventure.

Authorities in churches does not matter (whatever name it's called). They are instituted for orderliness and proper organisation.

There are two things here: idolatry and attitude of people. If we should take the biblical principles, no image likeness of Christ or heavenly bodies should be in existence among true Christians. If out of ignorance you have them (even the pictures) and are attached to them you refer to them as God.

Idolatry is not only worshipping the images. When your wears, friends, visitors, work, etc. could stop you from worshipping God, they are your gods.

To get the ultimate truth, we should always read the Bible, meditate in it day and night, and always be thirsty to do whatever that is contained therein.
