I love Makkossa, coupe decale and co.I think my best track is "position d'deuxeme matin' or something.I don't even remember the artiste but there is no sin that my Oga won't forgive(or atleast forgotten for the moment) when i get down to rock coupe decale or makossa.

Argh. . .I want to believe that their type of music(tempo and dance steps) are one of the reasons Ivorian girls are hot in . . .

Jenny, the day I match or catch up with you for kpekus levels,na you be my mentor na.tell me, what's all the struggle in this life for or where does it all end?men would say money and women.a married good man would say my woman, my kids and money .

Lol@ anatycal. I agree with you sir, OP needs to get off the internet and go get that man. If she can pour her heart out to strangers, she gave no reason keeping malice with her man, the only person that really matters.
Family › Re: My Husband Of Less Than A 1yr Of Marriage Has Changed by ifyalways(f): 9:15am On Apr 25, 2012
@OP,IMO,your problem would be solved if one of you stepped down from the captains seat and when both of you stopped behaving like spoilt kids.

You spoon fed your husband during the dating/bad days(not a bad thing) and now he's back on his feet, he's trying so hard to prove that he is a man indeed while you being you(confident, strong from the get go) is screaming "I'm fine and don't really need your guidance or help"

I would start with the gen. Cable issue. How did you tell him that?you might not know but your tone might come across as "this foolish man that have never used a gen. Before, don't you know any better? Bla bla". Its not enough or excuses his response to you but it could have triggered the 'very aggressive' reply he gave you. Now my advise to you here is this, you pratically married this man when he was nobody, no self esteem or man ego, now he's on his feet and he is begging to take the lead, trying to prove to his inner self and you that he is capable.tone down a bit, be careful of your choice of words and close your eyes to his 'I'm now a grown man' antics. When he notices you've left the captain seat for him, he would calm down by himself and beg for your inputs.

Him leaving the house, poking your umbrella and you leaving for work with both parties sulking is just immature.give him his space if you want but stop showing that you care. . . Cos you "do" care. When you saw him parked by the road, you could have just gone to say "baby what are you doing out there?I woke up cold and alone and missed you bla bla" it won't make you less a woman, if anything a winner. You won over his petty baby self.

Yours is a new marriage and such issues are bound to arise so its not strange, some of us passed through that stage.

I'm glad you sent him a clear no nonsense message on the violence or threat of violence part but please the job is not done yet! When all this is settled, on a good day, probably after a good got kpekus, tell him firmly that you don't want that "I would slap" you phrase in your home. Say it and mean it! And stop smiling or laughing at any of his "slap" jokes.

Stoop to conquer babe! Staying married na hardwork oh.you are a woman, leave him to 'fool around small, he would crawl back on his knees to worship @ your alter. . . Then you subtly mould him to your taste.lolz

Goodluck.
Family › Re: Attitude Issues by ifyalways(f):
@Aluta,your reply just goes to prove what i suspected.Your problem is not just being too blunt but more of poor human relation.

My dear try to loosen up.You don't have to throw away ur unique nature but you are a young girl who would marry someday and 'baby' a man or juniors at work.

The things you say to your roomies might not be bad/mean but because you are always engrossed in your own world and have little or no time for them, they get hurt when you tell them the truth(which they already know) because they feel you see yourself as "miss-i-know-it-all or i'm better than everyone else".

Work on being and maintaining real friendship with people. With friends, you would devise ways of hitting him/her with the truth without hurting them or coming across as miss-i-know-it-all.Friends listen to their mates even when you know s/he is making no sense.Infact building and maintaing friendship brings ease, makes you care about "how and what" u say to next person and IMO,thats just what u need.

Loosen up babe.
Family › Re: Attitude Issues by ifyalways(f): 5:03pm On Apr 24, 2012
@OP,just to add, hows your social life?do u enjoy being you(staying alone all through the weekend as oppossed to going out with GF's,ur Ipod with earphones is a much better company as oppossed to listening to your roomies gist girlie stuffs etc) or u just dont wanna hang out with people because they are to you either too dumb, nosey or noisy?

Some close knit introverts do come across as rude, you know.

Learn to listen more to people talk,go out often(beach with Gf's) as that would guraantee you meeting more people and u can't afford to be bluntor uptight all the time, join a music or dancing class/club.
Family › Re: Married To A Nigerian by ifyalways(f): 4:44pm On Apr 24, 2012
Thanks CC.That bit didnt stick in my head because this kind of story rarely comes up in 'marriage' scenes.

@OP,when and where did you guys got married?
Why are you finding it difficult getting a Nigerian visit visa?
what is your husband doing, did he promise to bring you to his country or relocate to your place with the speed of light during courtship and now has defualted?why do you harbour the thoughts of 'you failed me' against him ?

abeg,sun too much,dis kain tori sef.orisirisi
Family › Re: Married To A Nigerian by ifyalways(f): 4:10pm On Apr 24, 2012
@OP,is your boyfriend not working or is he a student like you?why can't either of you's afford tickets to visit the other?

Too bad,u got caught up but getting angry at him wont solve nothing and its unfair to him.How would u react if he begins to resent you too or blame you for all the 'tough times' the relationship is facing?

I have just 3 words for you:
You both save up for tickets and decides on who's visiting who.
You endure this phase, enjoy the long distance relationship thrills and hope for better days.
You take a walk and look for a man in your city.

Rofl @ Beaf saying this is not obtainable in Ghana, dude stop please!!! Have u been to Nima,Abbosai-okai,Katamanto etc?

Ofcourse,it "might" not be seen at osu, airport residential, dzorwulu areas just like it wont exist in Chevron,VGC and co.

Bottomline:Theres always slum, ghetto and run down areas in every country or big city.

Its very easy to reel out 'names of infections/diseases' and speak big big grammar but the question is:what alternatives are available?
Would any of you give the aboki man loan to secure a better place or y'all wants to pretend you don't know how ridiculous naija rents are?A simple shop @ Elegushi/falomo/Ajah costs nothing less than 500K,im not talking of plaza or shopping complexes, just a normal stall/shop.

For the consumers which by the way are mainly average traders, school kids, petty traders, mechanics, low end income earners etc who this might be their only means of getting a bite of meat,or protein sef(an egg is N50),what options do they have?Do y'all think they dont long for KFC's crispies and co?

The govt. collect all sorts of levies from them, what have they done for them?
When i see pictures like this,i can only but thank Awurade for his mercies.
Those whose breads have been buttered by mother nature should just thank their god(s) QED.

Family › Re: Does He Really Love Me? by ifyalways(f): 5:48pm On Apr 23, 2012
@OP,what are the "little things" you do that leads to the fight? When he beats and drives you out, where do you sleep or stay until he comes for you?

I don't have an answer to wether he loves you or not as love means different things to different folks(its relative) but i suggest you start by :

Curtailing or minimizing whatever it is that leads to the arguments or fights. You can use another approach/method to tackle whatever it is.

Sit your husband down and tell him you wont have him hit you again. He should talk to you as his wife,an adult when there is an argument and not resort to using his fists.

If there are no changes, you might have to consider counselling. The most important thing is this, you have but one life hence don't hesistate to remove yourself and kids from a dangerous situation first, albeit temporal if things escalates till you find a lasting solution.

Debrief, attacked for your personality?I wanted to comment on that thread but held my peace when I noticed the trend of the thread. The message was totally ignored and the messenger shot! Twas so bad you fled the thread.

Guess what?the same mod that not just attacked you but also queried the need for that thread suddenly woke up to preach same thing, huh? Which kind of holy saint today, sinful sinner tomorrow fucking irritating hypocrisy is that one?

@jenny, you've got Agaba to keep you busy, why I go chop remain for you. On a serious note sha, let's be more tolerant of others views.every silly advice makes sense to atleast one person. . . The giver. Lolz

^Thats part of what im trying to say.If according to y'all there is a problem in this section, why was that thread not cleaned up of the insults(if there were any) and issues raised addressed ?

Who says this same thread wont go the way of the other thread a la same but fresh insults flying out?

One of the mods claimed then(cant be bothered to quote) that your innocent thread(like this one) was of no use only to wake today and claim there is need for one. Why?one of her own on the recieving end of the insults this time around?LOL

If only we all would stop cheering, taking sides and ignore certain posts and posters when things get bad,we won't be stuck with threads like this.
