Hell NO!!! Now i wanna puke,IMO,its inbreeding.Once two families inter marry, they instantly become one blood,co joined so another marriage btwn same families is just gross.Ewww. This reminds of the the thread where a young but yet to wed couple parents(guys dad, girls mom) fell in love too and wanted to marry themseleves. . .Argh |
Sour sop :Ogbaka nti Avocado :Ube oyibo Pear(native one) : Ube Corn :Oka Apple : ![]() LOL but what really is the name of that fruit that everyone calls "Fruit" ? Its red when ripe, you eat the fleshy outside, crack open the nut and out pops a sweet hidden goody. . .hmmn childhood |
I personally feel the govt/society/religious groups/culture failed woefully. We cannot really dictate to a man when or when not to touch his wife, who by the way happens to be(making love to his wife) his most favorite past time/source of consolation/relaxation,just because he is poor. Enlightning, making available and encouraging the poor ones on the usage of contraceptives, family planning and child spacing is the only way out BUT very unfortunately in naija those things are not for the poor.Walk in to a pharmacy in Naija and ask for a morning after pill. . .everyone(from the very stoooopid sales girl to the quack nurse) gives u a "You just asked for the head of Jesus" looks and ofcourse, they've run out of stock.Buying condoms too have to be done discreetly. What do u expect?A married man won't kpekus again or he'd leave Sango his abode and go all the way to Judy Pharmacy,Ikeja to get a contraceptive for the wife? Some of 'em wives even make an effort. . .using local herbs, ogogoro and all. |
Oh jeez.Pagan those pictures are gross. |
^Well said Coogar. |
Love is sometimes over rated.People miss out on goodies because they are waiting for some prince charming to come sweep them off their feet and "they live happily everafter" story. . . We know there is a fine difference between reality and fiction.Don't expect the "love spark" to remain and renew itself especially after tying the knots, you've got to keep working on it.You've decided to stay you said?Get off the WWW and go talk with your hubby.Unburden your heart to him, listen to his own part of the marriage burden and together u both would find a starting point again. |
Thread finally hijacked! Otondo. |
Afam you need to check out the trend especially with the celebrity weddings and take a cue from their hubbies who from every indication are crwod shy like you. A good measure of kparaga(monkey tail flava),some good skunk and a dark big googles is all you need. Come back and thnak me later. |
Gini mega ebea ? Onye nyuru nshi ebea or butere otele nshi ebea? Ahum choro ihe di oku juru oyi.hotttttttt cold "ihe" kara aka. ![]() |
hmmn.An averge 18yrs old in Naija is just about to write jamb/just got admitted in the Uni.That said,is the country/economy ready for your idea?Graduates work as call attendants, recieptionists etc, these are jobs that normally should be for the young undergrads. Are their vacation jobs and any hopee of clinching one for a young one with no connection/godfather?Does student loans exist?Have u heard of the ridiculous house rents plus the zero amenities that comes with it? The terrain is very rough,my dear. |
![]() i think im also guilty of 'looking down' on not-too-tall individuals especially in arguments and u see them humping and boasting like they wanna pull down the skies. Not soo cool i know . . . OP,don't let anyone use their mouth to push you into committing murder. You already identified the problem so you are half-way to getting a solution.Remember, your height does not determine who you are, your actions does. |
Oh ok.bold step was a youth programme that features talent hunt(rapping, dancing),educative debates and generally borders on youth/growing up issues.twas fun, unfortunately I never attended cos I was just a tiny teen. I bet you watched 'mike ome ihe di nma '(okpuru anyanwu) and co. What do you think about the nld eze ndi igbo?and this thread?lol |
^but you can have a quiet one with just extended family members from both sides and one or two close friends in attendance or won't you pay bride price ![]() |
InterestinG! Not even a single positive point, all negatives. The mind is a weird thing, keeps record of evil and have zero memory of good. |
@Topic,In Nigeria and with both parents working(no housewife or househusband stuff) then 10 is a good time. One can never be too sure or careful. |
^methinks bollywood is for babies who don't wanna grow up. ![]() |
Afam interesting to hear that christianity is the backbone of "church /white weddings",any biblical backup? @Topic,the whole idea is bullshit to me.from the white/church wedding concept itself, the dressing, the rituals performed down to the most ridiculous one;a pastor/priest,a stranger, opening his mouth wide to declare the couple man and woman. . .who gave him that authority ![]() |
Well said Odumchi. I think the Oba of Benin is still very much a strong force to reckon with even in politics in the state. |
![]() Now Ptolemus that was darn funny.thread is getting more "steamy" if I may add. . . |
hahaha, dubem, you are so right.I was in my teens then and just. Couldn't wait to grow up and get married.they made marriage look so beautiful and interesting . . .it is really did you also watch "bold step"? Lolz.I think it was on Sunday too just before "nkem". educating and family programmes, not readily obtainable these days. Were you staying in onitsha then? |
lucom: Pleas try to read posts before commenting, this is rather rhetoric if you've read the news piece in the first placeDear Mr all knowing, most wise, the OP is no foool and obviously saw my post way before you.She did edit her intial post to add the full details.Good day |
J-town of old(beautiful people with beautiful hearts, cool weather, best kilishi, masa, bkt, quiet unassuming life, serene) Ogbomosho(lovely place, the best amala on Gods green earth) Enugu(Gods own garden, home) Sapele(just love the town,a fine combo of "rough and smooth" ![]() However,if i were single,my picks would have been:Owerri, lokoja and Yenegoa. Those places a babe can afford to fly high as kite but still pose meekly like a cat.rofl |
Please just to keep us parents proactive, any infor. on how she was kidnapped from their home? @Topic,I can't begin to imagine what the parents are going through now.I pray she's found in one piece. |
This is very depressing,i cant even concentrate on the amu m ji n'aka before. If the boy could call you then hes reaching out for help.So his parents are so poor that they would rather have him dead?I rebuke poverty!!! Have you thought of giving ur friend money to help rescue the boy?Perhaps you should call the boy and discuss an escape plan with him.He might have ideas but fear and trust issues(if i were him,i wont trust u totally) is still drawing him back. And theres still the welfare/social service option though the best route would have been u removing the boy directly. May God give u ideas and the strenght and grace to carry it through. That boy is in my prayers. |
How old is the boy?Does he have a phone or is there a way you can speak to him directly wihout ur mom or siblings knowledge? What of his parents? You can send an email or place a phone call to the social/welfare office in their state of residence but my fear is this,if its not lagos, abuja, enugu and rivers states then the welfare/social service might not lift a finger. Can u get a trusted and matured friend here in naija to help?Well,if all fails, you can just send the boy a reasonably sum discreetly. That should make give him the needed "push" to go.Na real wao. |

Hahahaha.my dear John. I've never seen you more articulate, posting a lenghty one on point without any deviation to chase a volumptous "ikebe" .Good one, hun. You are so right!this is not kpekus and so im putting my mouth where it belongs. . .ontop kpekus. Just had a loooooong laugh.Thank u Johnny.lol |
Jmoore,I got it all mixed up,my bad.Thought twas Jmaine my Efik boyfriend.lol O di nma."O" nile bu otu. |
Na wao.OP while i commend your trying to help the boy but i gotta point this out ; asking the boy to leave and promising him biz wont help, the boy has heard such lines before(probably from your mother) and see where it landed him.And that notion that your mom would seek him out is FALSE.You,just like your siblings are just scared but the question is "if it were your own child with your mom doing same things, won't you find a way to take your child to safety?" You wanna help that boy?Write a detailed but annonymous letter to office of the public defender or get the shop/biz in another town, drive to your mom's place in a taxi when no one is around and take the boy out. Sorry but im not so bothered about the 'reconciling with mom" part of your story.Someones child is been tortured like a salve. You can apologise for your rude behaviour later but for now,Get that boy out before Gods long arm consumes someone. |
God works in mysterious ways. They've just saved somemoney that would be alot more beneficial than feeding people who won't come to their aid if the marriage hits a financial crisis. Failure to plan or not, they should quickly go for their refund and invest in more productive things.wedding has come and gone, marriage is the 411. Jmoore, mei sere. |
Why does it have to be threats, violence and bloodshed always from Buhari Can't he communicate effectively without mention of "blood" ? I think aside being an honest man(debateable),hes a Vampire too! An unrepentant morrafucking Vampire. |
