^So in essence,he used his brother as financial NOK and made no will ?

I don't know the 'right/wrong/legal' thing to say again except:
You and your sis. should handle this with wisdom.Keep the documents safely out of anyones reach, relate to ur uncle and other extended family members amicably.
Look for a very honest family lawyer and seek his counsel.
I don't know if there are lawyers @ Office of the public defender, lagos that might give u free legal counsel.

Btw,where is your mom?
Goodluck.
Family › Re: Will You Adopt A Child With Your Spouse? by ifyalways(f): 8:55pm On Apr 21, 2012
Might have adopted one or two but was already "fostering" 2 as a single girl, they were part of my 'baggage' into married life.lol.They are all grown now and are a part of my family.
My husband loves them just like our bio. kids and lucky me,one would be getting married soon and i can't just wait to be a funky grandma.

I would encourage anyone around me with "sincere needs and motives" for adoption to go for one.

I don't believe the story!. . .but i'd still go ahead and humour the OP,LOL.

I'd say she leave him and marry her parents while he goes to his villa and get a maiden that wud pound him akpu daily(he wont need cutleries) and bear him kids each year.

2 freaking years together and stil telling this kind of story?Oh my days.
Family › Re: Can Next Of Kin Be Changed!!!?.. by ifyalways(f): 8:37pm On Apr 21, 2012
OP,just asking, were ur mom and late dad not legally married or living together prior his death?

Back to your question, did your father leave a will?If he did,it would be a good idea to see what it saya;who gets/inherits what.Again, which kind of NOK did your late dad make his brother? Medical or financial? If its medical, then its easy to contest or challenge it on the grounds that your dad was incapacitated when he made that decision.

I'm not sure you can totally Change NOK.

Not exactly surprised.
we are always "fighting evil/crime" with our bibles/Qurans/right hand and "encouraging same" with our juju/lefthand/cabal.

Lets see how this would play out,my guess is same old story. . .rat race.

Family › Re: Can You Use A Hired Wedding Gown And An Old Bouquet During Your Wedding? by ifyalways(f): 10:41am On Apr 20, 2012
Mowire: Gown&suit wearing, "white" wedding was,is and will forever remain a waste of money &time. Marriage is fully contracted, biblically&traditionally the moment ur parent hand you over to your husband, (and his family). That is the occassion Nigerian/African call engagement is the actual wedding.
Priest/Pastors are just impostors: they have no right, moral or spiritual, to join anyone other than their own daughters to anybody in marriage. GOD DID NOT SEND THEM THAT MESSAGE. Most of them don't even know this.
Quoted for truth!!!
Its even more funny when people indulge in this very foreign and non-biblical(for christians) ceremony and then open their mouths wide to call the authentic marriage ceremony(traditional marriage) "unholy" and unrecognised by God.

Woman, call your husband, sit down with him and ask him his plans NOW?The family etal is gone, its just u and him,ask him what he intends doing now!

If he can't come up with any meaningful or realistic answer, tell him subtly that u cant share your home with another woman and you are not ready to move out too.Go ahead and suggest he gets another apartment for the lady.

He should be able to tell you his plans for the girl.Is it just the(this) child or he has plans to be with her permanently?

To some people, this is a deal breaker,no 2 ways about that but its your call, your life.
Think through alone, search your soul and decide on whats best for you.

Romance › Re: What Nerds Don't Know About Women? by ifyalways(f): 3:33pm On Apr 16, 2012
The only downside with nerds are:

Their brain works like a computer. Lol Eg, complain all you want to a nerd about his babe, he would never believe you. Won't give it a second thought sef but the very day he catches his babe red handed(say cheating)beg all you want, explain all you want. . . The computer has crashed and its irrepairable. No second chance with them.

When they say they need their space, they mean every word of it!nothing you'd do or so moves them until they are done.

They keep you on your feet always. They've got a standard and you MUST live up to their expectations. They've got no time to baby sit you, they expect you to know and do the right thing always. No time for drama queen or cry baby. . . Methinks its Cos they are cry babies themselves, forget all the false nerdy confidence. Rofl.
Romance › Re: What Nerds Don't Know About Women? by ifyalways(f): 3:00pm On Apr 16, 2012
They are heavy spenders too. . . For their women. They are already on the quiet side of life so they want their woman to be an eye candy, loud and attractive for them. Other men look, lick mouth and admire all they want while they enjoy and handle the package alone, no rival.

They also are more faithful. Takes them like hundred years to pick a woman but when they do, its all the way. No cutting shows.
Btw,my definition of nerd is an intelligent, not so social expert in a technical or scientific field.
Romance › Re: What Nerds Don't Know About Women? by ifyalways(f): 2:44pm On Apr 16, 2012
Don't know what nerds don't know about women but I know that nerds are mini-gods in bed!

You under rate them as a woman, you're risking your hips and waist. Those guys are tigers in bed. I know for sure Cos I married one. Think of any and every bedmatics, all finger applications, softwares and hardwares via pleasure gateway, think nerd.
Crime › Re: Blessing Effiong Has Been In Detention For 4 Years Over Phone Theft by ifyalways(f): 1:50pm On Apr 16, 2012
Very sad news, even sadder is knowing that many more blessings are languishing in various police cells and prisons.

If you must ever get to naija police station for anything (as informant, complainant, suspect, visitor) make sure you have a solid godfather and a fat bank account else you might not come out alive to share your story.
