A man that spent millions on school ultra modern pit latrines,bought and installed spiritual Computers for schools that had no roof,desk etc,roads are just the way Ngige left it.   

He's got potentials indeed . . .atleast on Nairaland.

I was driving from Awka to Benin during the Easter and immediately I crossed the head bridge, I cursed Obi! The road from Awka to Onitsha is horrrrrible. Infact if you manage to escape the death traps along Enugu/Onitsha expressway, you'll be stuck in traffic from Nkopr to head bridge . . .  just because of the bad road!

Immediately you cross into Asaba, you'll think you are in a different country . . .  even the air feels different!

Go to Enugu and see what Chime has done with the roads . . .  Every corner of Enugu is accessible by road. Even the road to my office here in Government House is bad!

Onitsha is a dead area. Driving in Onitsha is like signing a death wish . . . .  potholes everywhere!


What schools are you talking about that have been supplied with computers? Have you visited these schools Guess what, I have! Obi made a business transactions with those computers. Imagine supplying computers to schools without electricity or even roofs! Most of these computers are still in their cartons or in the Principals' house. I'll get you pictures of some secondary schools in Anambra and you'll weep for them! Computers my foot.

What 'water' are you talking about? The BHs constructed with the first MDG funds? 99.9 % of them are not functional. I've done a survey and I know that for a fact. Most of the contractors did shoddy jobs because the government officials who were supposed to monitor these projects collected 'brown envelopes' and looked the other way!

As for the MDG water schemes being constructed in communities presently, well, we just have to wait and see how that turns out . . . .  

Development of a state is not an easy task abi? How come it took Chime less than 4 years to achieve what Obi has failed to achieve in 5years!

What Ngige did in less time still speaks for him till date. Posterity will judge Obi. He rigged himself back into government last year and he'll pay for that one day!

You have to understand that I don't post based on hearsay. I work with the government in Anambra. My office is right inside the government house. I see the way things are run here and I think Obi is a huge fraud!

The road leading from Owerri to Okigwe through Orji has been dilapidated for years. The former governor didn't do anything maybe because it was in the opposing zone. This same Ohakim repaired that road with good drainage. Today my people enjoy free medical care in government owned hospitals throughout owerri. We in Owerri zone (Orji precisely) promised him our support, both old and young.
He is a lot better than the past.

Politics is most definitely mixed with religion,tribe and other factors.Every part of Nigeria voted based on the combination of each or both of them plus other personal merits of the candidates.You can't isolate politics from religion.

Question is why DID a certain section of the country get violent. . .we all know that ALL the almajiri's who voted for BB did so cos of religious and tribal sentiments and NOTHING MORE.

This is just to ask from some advise from all the mothers in the house with older kids.My LO is 19 months old and in the last couple of weeks i have noticed that she has started hitting or sometimes even biting when she does not seem to get her way. My typical Nigerian instinct and advise i have gotten from my older relatives is to always hit her when she does it but i have been thinking to myself,is hitting her not reinforcing that hitting is  away to get things done?I have tried time outs and naughty chair and making her sorry to mama or dada or whoever she hits thereby making her see that there are consequences for being naughty(this is the method also used at nursery).She does say sorry but still keeps hittting when she is upset.I have read so many articles on this and they have said it partly is because her communication skills are still developing and she gets frustrated that we cannot understand her point.This still does not make me feel any better as i feel that we need to do something about this and not just hope that she outgrows this.Practical suggestions that have helped in the past are welcome.

First time he did that ,I gently held his hands and said hitting hurts,good children don't hit.I wont play with you again cos you hit me. . .He is the type that loves playing so he quickly apologized and promised not to hit again.

Next time he bit me,I quickly held his own hands,bit him firmly and he screamed "That hurts mummy" and I was like Oh yeah,it does.That did it  ,he understood what [b]hurts [/b]actually meant and never tried that again.

NB:Each child is unique,what worked for A might not work for B.

Where are the so-called computerized schools located?In the last 2 years,I've been to QRC,D.M.G.S.,St. Monica's,Ado girls,Ihiala Special science,All saints,Santa Maria,CKC,Metro and saw not even a single piece of the so-called modern pit latrines and Computers.
