Politics › Re: Violence In The North Is Motivated By Greed Not Religion Or Tribalism. by ifyalways(f): 10:37am On Apr 21, 2011
Onlytruth:
No.
I think the north is motivated by wickedness.
The most dangerous wicked man is one that is also poor.
We have poor people in southern Nigeria, yet they don't rise up against non-indigenes to massacre them.

Have you ever seen a southern tribe or group killing a pregnant settler, cutting open the guts and killing the baby too? I don't think so.

This is about being wicked. That's all.

How can any normal person live with such wicked people?
I agree with you.

Inborn and Inbred wickedness.

I tell you there people in Sabon Gari, Noman's Land area of Kano hoping to test their expensive, automatic, and multi-rounds firearms on marauding Hausa youths.

Where is the OP na?

Still nursing the after-effects of the slap?  cheesy

The husband acted like a boy and on impulse.why storm to the house to give your wife a piece of your mind when obviously, she had no idea that PHCN has restored power?

I can just picture him telling her how useless and careless she is towards their finance,ur mama no teach you how to manage money . . .blah blah, making noise . . .Mama rightly shut him up with a slap. grin

Well,he acted on impulse,SIL reacted on impulse too.1 bad turn deserves another. LOL

I still maintain that the OP has to apologize to the wife for his childish and unnecessary outburst and the MIL has to leave . . .that is If she has not left already.

@OP,why do they hate u?Are u on good terms with the siblings or the whole family does not approve of u?

Do u think u can live with his family members visiting(when u eventually marry him)and not eat ur food, talk with u?Wud u understand when he visits his family(ofcos without you) and spend long hours with them?

Are ur own parents in support of the union?

If I were u,I wud try and find out the most important thing which is:why the hate huh

I wud weigh their reason(s)carefully,no matter how stUpId it might sound before deciding on the way forward.

Sports › Re: Lets Talk About Wrestling by ifyalways(f): 7:00pm On Apr 19, 2011
eddy1977:
The show opened with r truth coming to the ring to celebrate his first ever opportunity at the belt.
then morrison came out to challenge him.morrison called him names and asked for a match with r truth's spot on the line.
i knew right there that management had decided to remove r truth from the ticket.ultimately, morrison won the match.
why didnt morrison challenge cena? why pick on r truth?
they match was just so bad.so short and within a blink of an eye, truth was defeated.

i like morrison, and i have always given him a high mark on the most skilled wrestlers in the wwe today, but to remove an african american from the main event,to me its just unfair.

as for what you said about no new talents,i guess it takes time for the newbies to be accepted by the wwe universe.
there are some great talents in there,but its too early for them.look at drew mcyntire,justin gabrielle,wade barret,alex riley,alberto del rio,sin cara,david otunga,the uso brothers,and a few others.
it will take some times before they mature in the ring and establish their names.
I did not believe what i saw last night.

What started as a joke,R truth confessing his quitting smoking quickly turned to a fight . . .before I knew whassup,a referee appears and voila R.Truth is sent out of Extreme rules. angry

Anywayz,I love what R.tuth did after the match.

Did Cena and Sin Cara really win the tag team match?I love Cena but Come on . . .

Did Randy and CM Punk have the re-match and who won?I stopped watching just before Sheamus V marella match ended.

pslm23:
My memory goes as far back as when i was 6 or 7. We lived in Kano then and my mum used to take my sisters and I every Sunday to the barracks to get our hair "plaited". What makes this memory stand out is the torture we had to endure when these barrack women would make us sit on the floor with our heads buried in their nasty smelly wrappers (nose first) so they could get to the back of our head to "plait". Our faces were mere inches from their crotch.  angry  No child should ever endure the smelliness we had to endure.   cry

@OP,Everyone here has made a good point but have you thought of the future  undecided

Is there chances of reconciliation and comeback for u and Mr Sperm donor or that door is locked permanently?Wud it be easy to correct and change the name in future when and If he comes back or if need be?

If truly, the pregnancy is for this man,why not let the child keep and bear the name? It's not the child's choice that things turned sour . . .s/he atleast deserves a piece of the man's identity, when s/he is of change he can then make the best choice for her/himself.

BTWN,Okon is not an Igbo name . . .it should be either Akwa-ibom or Calabar.(or the disclaimer covers the Okon name as well?)

Nigerians are funny.

MaziUche0:
Let us worry about Friday when they leave their mosque. If people think this is over, they are sadly mistaken. Now it is the plotting and scheming.
Nothing new wud happen.

They have done their worst already.

Regardless of what anyone thinks or has to say,GEJ is the current president of Nigeria,no amount of internet gangsterism or cow-boy show can change that.

Rather than coming together, giving this man the benefit of doubt and talking of the way forward,a great percentage of the ppl on here are screaming themselves hoarse, eating and sleeping on the man's  weakness . . . what they hope to achieve is what I can't comprehend huh

GEJ is in,deal or kpeme with it.
Family › Re: Marriage Vow - Igbo Help Appreciated by ifyalways(f): 2:21pm On Apr 19, 2011
Gera1980:
Kedu everyone,

I am looking for some kind of expressions of love in Igbo. Not just "I love you", but something more subtle.

Explanation: As some of you may remember, I am a German girl. I am in love with an Igbo man (living in Germany) for about 1,5 years now and we are going to get married soon. For some months now I am taking some effort to learn Igbo and I would love to "surprise" my husband-to-be by doing my mariage vow in igbo.

So any kind of help is highly appreciated.

Imela,
Geraldine
You want just ur vows or other endearing phrases?

Why don't u write ur vow here in English then we can help u translate in Igbo?

Bonus for ur efforts, call him [i]Nkem[/i . . .mine. cheesy tonight and watch him do you many many many sweet things.

Hello House,
I am a Nigerian with a B.Sc Degree from the south-western part of Nigeria
I am getting married in the next 4 month and I don't have a job yet. My fiancee and I have waited so long to have this marriage carried out but couldn't move ahead because of my job. Sincerely she is rare.
I am currently based in Abuja and also seek an employment in Abuja.
Please If u can help, get in touch with me through my email adetoks2010@aol.com .
Thanks.
Congrats in advance.

Is ur wife working, still in school or out of school but unemployed as well?

What did u study?which areas are u looking at for work?

Like Blazay said, get married If you want/can afford to now but please hold on on making babies first . . .This is not just ur decision to make but u and ur wife should agree to this as one.

Intensify ur search and efforts on getting employed,You have access to internet, don't waste it on nld, browse through Job sites,Career section of nld etc.

Lastly, don't wait or reject job offers cos it ain't ur dream job/pay . . .You are a man,u need to do something to put food on the table.

Goodluck
