@ RichyBlack

Do you believe in God, Jesus or Allah.

If you do, since i'm a catholic,  All i'm going to say is explain how a regular man turned a whole stream of river into blood or wine(one of them).

Explain how a regular man rose from the dead?

Every religion has something in it that science can easily disprove.

Okay, yea we have science.  That same science is what destroying the world in the effort of saving it(Has it's good and bad).

Me, i believe in Juju/voodoo or whatever.  I'm staying the hell away from someone who do it.  If you like go Threaten them with your science, me i no go mess with am. Love my life thank you.
FashionRe: Is this Nigerian Model good enough to get your vote? [pic] by Ifygurl: 5:26am On Nov 01, 2008
Ohh she's pretty.

She looks like she's Igbo mixed with Fulani and Edo. Oh maybe Ijaw mixed with Igbo Fulani and Edo. Who knows, she look good.

@ the people asking if she's Nigerian because her name doesn't sound familiar.

Is Lopez a familiar name in Naija (No, it's famous in Mexico, Latin America or spain but not in Naija) but yet this girl's name is Alex Lopez(The pic under this message) and she's 100% Nigerian from Delta state.

Just because the name doesn't sound familiar doesn't mean she's not one of us.

N-way @ the topic.

Lets all vote ohh.  Wish her Goodluck.

Is she in America's Next top model r France, cause the website sent me to American Next top model website?

@ Topic

I voted. I was Number 147 or so.

I don't want to die at such a young age.  I'll visit SA in my T.V (not stepping foot in that country again).
TravelRe: We Miss Nigeria Because by Ifygurl: 9:42am On Oct 30, 2008
I miss Nigeria because America is no fun.
No party, No crazy ass entertainment.

Only place to get that kind of entertainment is from Black Americans and it gets tired going to only their party.

And also Food.(I hate American food for example: Macroni and Cheese, yuck).

I miss Food, family, party, the craziness of Naija people, Non-stop palm wine, dressign up and walking around till you find some traditional anything and just walk into it even though your not invited or even know the people, Church, Suya, hell i even miss Naija school(don't even know why since they flog me when i do something bad but i miss it), friends, village boys(some of them nigga are cute), the weather(hate the cold), market place in Naija, seeing crazy people in the street telling you shit that just makes you laugh, running from masquerade(during christmas), Suya, Palm-wine, Friends, Suya(i miss this alot), craziness in Nigeria/Africa, etc. I miss alot of things about Naija(Can wait till i visit/go back to there).

samix:
Its not about being immigrants or called one, its all about getting a good life which seems practically unachievable for a magnanimous percentage of nigerians living at home. I would prefer my kids to be born british to been born as nigerians because of the inevitable fact, the numerous oppurtunities and advantages they have been british. what is good about NIGERIA? tell me, lots of things i believe but the bad things override the goodies available. have u ever had the oppurtunity of accessing the rating of nigeria in the world based on social amenities provided or rather available to its loving citizens. despite been rich we are still poor, can u explain that? no country is a bed of roses agreed but believe me nigeria is likeable to a bed of thorns. peace out shocked grin
My Question to you is what have you done to improve Nigeria?
What achievement have you done to improve Nigeria?
People saying that Nigeria is getting better that the road are getting fixed but yet the reason it's getting better is because of Nigerian aboard coming home and helping to fix Nigeria up.
I know this Nigerian surgeon that moved back to Nigeria after 12 years of being a suregeon in America. In the side he stays act, the treatment there are getting better because of him and few other people.
He said he stayed in America for 12 years because he wanted to practice on Americans till he becomes a great surgeon(and he is, so at least we can say we didn't get a bad suregon right? LOL) grin

Anyway

What are you doing to help Nigeria? Or are you sitting in a chair sipping coca cola waiting for others to fix that country up and then you run back to Nigeria expecting to take in the benefit of other people's work?

It took America about 180 years before it became what it is. After their independence from Britian; it took them awhile to fix their country and not only that; the Slaves made America want it is today.

For Germany, their people fixed up that country after world war 2.
For alot of other countries, both the government and the people help fix their country.

Now i ask Nigerians that complain about this and that. What have you people done to help Nigeria, other than your family in Nigeria.
What contribution have you done?

I'm 18 years old but i told myself, i'll help Nigeria when i'm old enough and had my degree.

To me if your a Cab driver or whateva aboard. Then stay aboard, ain't nothing you can teach Nigerians. Hell you should come back, Nigerians can teach you something about how to drive a cab, LOL grin
PoliticsRe: Ekiti Govt Accused Of Feeding Kids With 'Juju Cutlery' by Ifygurl: 12:59am On Oct 29, 2008
Naija parents complaining that a man is feeding their kids for Free.

Beggars shouldn't be pickers.

What kind of thing is this. What prove do they have that the man is feeding their children with a Juju plates? Jeez, there is no way of pleasing naija parents. Always problem.

@ the people that say Juju doesn't work.

Use your brain. If that shit doesn't work, people wouldn't be doing it.
Hell the percentage of people that are doing it are increasing; shouldn't it be decreasing if that shit doesn't work.

@ poster.

I knew there was a reason i've been avoiding visiting my cousin in London(Sike i'm playing but i ain't going to that country, she has to come here. I don't want to die from cold). LMFAO.

Jeez, Europeans chill. Abeg, did the girl/ boy say that place is the worst place on earth. God, you guys will jump in ehen Nigerians are talking about the bad in our country but you can't stand when someone criticize your country. Damn, chill.

@ poster
I don't blame you. When i get my degree in America; i'm going back to Nigeria(i'm not in love with this country but i don't hate/insult it). And plus, i actually want to help fix the health problems in Naija(unlike all this Naija doctors in America, Canada and Europe). Yeye people, your people are dying but you guys won't help them because of money. I rather die poor than sit and be a doctor aboard and watch my people dying in Nigeria(I'm going to follow my brother and uncle footstep and move back).
CultureDo You Think This Is Racism Or Apartheid Thinking? by Ifygurl(op): 9:01am On Oct 28, 2008
I was going through this blog about naija by some Arabs guy(I think, he looks arabs in his picture) and i discovered this in one Abuja apartment

Whites-only accommodation in Abuja

This ad appeared on the Abuja expats (yahoo group) today:

WUSE II
3 bedroom flat for white expatriates only (serviced)- 2.5m
payable 2 years service charge 500,000 p.a

This is the company that advertised the property and is complicit in an apartheid rental system in town.

I got this from this website

http://naijablog..com/

Do you think this is right?

As we all know Nigerian politicians are letting white SA and zimbabwe into Nigeria as refugees. Do you think they are bringing apartheid to Nigeria with this kind of stuff?

P.S: The guy that owns the isn't the one that have the apartment. He was looking for an apartment and noticed it.
According to the guy the people that owns this website and apartment are the ones who wrote that

http://www.oakrentals.com/

What you think? What's your intake? Racism or Apartheid thinking?
FoodRe: Why Igbos Dey Fear Amala? by Ifygurl: 6:32am On Oct 28, 2008

CultureRe: Why Are Notherners Beggars In Lagos . Why Are Able Bodied Into It? by Ifygurl: 6:19am On Oct 28, 2008
The Northern beggars your talking about are usually Tuareg tribe.
I heard they do that in all African country they reside in, not just Nigeria
(I'm not sure though, my grandfather told me about them and that's when i started researching about them and that's what i read in other African forum, but i'm not sure though)

KarmaMod:
Ekiti is Yorubaland and she yarns dust about it all the time. don't think you're special, she does this to just about everyone. She's worse with the Hausas

and your comment of Yorubas and slavery doesnt make sense. Seeing that most Haitians can trace thsemlves back to Igboland, wouldnt that mean Yorubas arent the only ones that were invlved the trade?
I didn't say ya'll are the only ones involved with slavery. I said you guys sold off more slaves than other tribes. That's what they taught us in my school but i don't trust this American schools(sometimes they make up lies) so i wouldn't be sure.
bawomolo:
millions died in WW1 and i don't see anyone screaming genocide. genocide is the systematic killing of civilians belonging to a certain group. basically an attempt at ethnic cleansing. this wasn't seen in the biafra war(i don't deny civillians were killed). what happened in rwanda and armenia fits the definition of genocide and not biafra.
I guess so. That's what my mother said that Biafra wasn't a genocide (I never got it till now, i guess). I believe ya'll afterall my mom experienced it and i didn't
CultureRe: Evil Or Dirty Nigerian Cultures That Should Be Abolished by Ifygurl: 4:42am On Oct 28, 2008
Pepperspray.

I see finally your a trabilist trying to mask it as if it's just peity insults.
Let me guess; your yoruba right?   Since that's the only tribe you say good stuff about.

And stupid, next time i suggest get your facts right.

One IGBO people are ALLOWED to fly their DEAD FAMILY BACK TO THEIR HOMELAND.  If we want?  Na YOUR CULTURE? ABi, No so STFU about it.  If you GUYS want bury your family in a foreign country, let us bury ourselves in our homeland. Thank you .

And two:
Yam festival DOESN'T involve HUMAN SCARIFICE(Get with the future; that happened in the past).  Jeez, i hate when trabilist talk, it's like their stupid mind is stuck in the past.

It's like me claiming Yoruba are still selling people off as slaves(Stupid right? Since that's what ya'll did in the past).

I don't know about ya'll but i'm tired of seeing trabilist post in these place.

Pepperspray, Seun actually made a place for you people(When you get to the culutre site, look up, their's a place that says (Trabilist/racist).  That's where you post your comments you understand.

And three CAN'T IGBO PEOPLE BUILD HOUSE IN OUR OWN VILLAGE.  Is LAGOS, our OWN place.  Hell NO.  Yoruba people build homes in Lagos(It belongs to ya'll) while we build homes in our OWN PLACE.  Jeez, please keep quiet about shit you don't know about will you?
I know my parents have home in Enugu and Anambra and we don't have one in Lagos and Abuja(even though we've lived there) (It ain't ours so why improve that place).  It's like saying the Anambra governor that's opening up hospital in Anambra should open one in Lagos because he lived there once(that's stupidity, yoruba/lagos governors should open one there).

P.S: What Okun? Never heard of it(I think you made that up seeing that all the igbo people in this forum haven't heard of it.)

OrumbaS89:
Nigeria

1. Denying the fact that the Biafran War was a genocide
2. Accepting tribalism.
3. Always complaining about Igbos: why the fu!k are my people so special?
4. Having one area super developed while the rest is so-so.
5. Bad politics
6. Loud talking
7. Hypocrisy is almost everything
I know right.  Abi, i'm tired of this.  Every post it's igbo this or igbo that.  Jeez, leave our culture to us.  We ain't as concerned about their culture and your right.  NIGERIANS WE HAVE TRABILISM and after what i've obersved WE ARE THE MOST TRABILIST NATION IN AFRICA.(I say it like i see it).  We ain't the most racist but we are the most trabilist(And you bithes know it, no denying that shit).

bawomolo:
independent observers said it wasn't a genocide about 30years ago. what "fact" are we denying.
Biafra is a genocide. KILLING more than two million people(why isn't that consider a genocide?) Seriously, why isn't that consider a genocide? (I'm curious, can someone explain that? just wondering)
FamilyRe: Why Are Nigerian Parents So Overprotective? by Ifygurl(op): 5:18am On Oct 25, 2008
KarmaMod:
where do you live?

The case for me growing up wa sthat they were *nazis* when we lived here but when we were sent to Naija for secondary school, we could do whatever the hell we wanted

Apparently they believed roaming around in Naija was safer than in the states. Plus you are around fellow Nigerians so they're no "negative influences", yes parents can be that naive.
I live in America for the time being. We plan on movingback to Naija. And your right, when i'm in Naija my parents could careless what time i'm outside as long as i'm with a friend or so. If i'm by myself that's another chapter. It's like they believe Nigeria streets is safer than America(I grew up in Naija and i know that's not true).
FamilyWhy Are Nigerian Parents So Overprotective? by Ifygurl(op): 3:36am On Oct 25, 2008
Is it my parents or all Nigerian parents are like that.

Seriously, my parents are always on my back about everything. I can't even go anywhere without them calling and yelling and screaming for me to return home especially my mother.

My father really doesn't care. All he'll do is look at you and treaten to take my back to a boarding school in Nigeria. It's annoying.

My bestfriend is Nigerian also but her mother is the one being over-protective.

My cousin's and some of our Nigerian friends do the same thing.

Seriously is it just my family parents and my bestfriends/friends parents that are like that or Nigerian parents?

You went too far.  Abeg, my mom didn't drink no one's corspe water.  Boy that isn't done in every igbo village.  My mother's village DO NOT do that.
