thoth: i am not in education per se but i am planning of organizing a group to tour universities and communities and give talks and share books throught the southeast next i come back. There are many books that people needs to read and many writings like this that could be organized and put as a small booklet and shared that would awaken people to ask questions and see things differently. Books on Neo-colonialism by Nkurumah, books on african economic studies by Mr Rhodney and many books which i believe are small sized enough to be reproduced cheaply. I also plan to get writings like the ones above and compile them into pamphlets and distribute as well.Right now I am in uni in America. Can you pass along any information that you have to me. I am part of the African grou at my school. I would love to help spread knowledge. I already know a lot but I would love to learn more. Do you have a facebook page for this movement? Maybe we can start one. The conscious African movement. |
thoth: I am speechless after reading this. This man knew how to put the points together so well to make it easy to hit the mind. What sector are you in? Are you in education? I am very interested in school curriculum and education from nursery to secondary. I am in economics at the moment but I'm interested in education because it plays a role on the economy. Is there anyway I can help you uplift fellow Africans as well? @cap28 Thanks for thaat article it is amazsing and uplifting. You need to spread the message around uk because there are many troubled blacks in uk. You can uplift them.thanks for all the great info keep up the good work. Also are you religious at all? |
I love African culture. Whether it is yoruba edo Hausa Igbo Ashante etc I love it! |
@thoth You are very right. The system of education in Africa is also dismal. We need an african centered education system. @morpheus I agree with you. Right now I am abroad but I plan to move to Africa in the not so distant future to do business. I also want to build museums and schools that are afrocentric to uplift africans.. |
There needs to be Afrocentric schools wherever blacks are. Even schools in Africa are Eurocentric so we need to change the curriculum for our children. They need to know of the great empires of Africa and how to uplift Africa. The kids should be taught about Egypt, Carthage, Phoenicians, Zulu, Songhai, Benin, Mali, Igbo, Yoruba, Bornu, Hausa, Kongo, Luba, Kuba, Swahili, Ethiopia,Moors, Monomotopia,Africans around the world and other great empires. This will give Africans a strong identity to Africa. Also, these schools should teach African languages so our languages don't die. I am thinking of opening up Afrocentric schools and museums in the future. This will give blacks a strong pride for being African and reduce the self hate that we have amongst each other. Books in schools should be by Ivan Sertima, Runoko Rashidi, Anta Diop, Drusilla Houston, Basil Davidson, Martin Bernal, and other authors who aren't biased. |
porka: SLOTWhat is SLOT? |
How about Innoson, Dangote, Ibeto, Eko hotel, paga and da viva, check out my site www.nigedrianedp.com I am promoting Nigerian goods arts fashion tourism and investing. |
Danka7777: Don't forget that Biafra scientists and engineers manufactured pretty much all the arms and ammunition used during the war led by our great inventor and inspirator Professor Gordian Obuneme Ezekwe (1929-1997). Some of the design manuals are still available; well kept for the younger generation, coupled with the advancement young Igbos scientists and engineers have made around the world today, when the time comes, we will show the world that if giving the support - not knowledge, that we have in abundance, we will even design drones. For all those who don't really know about the Biafran Inventions, you need to research and you be forever shocked. It is crazy how we were doing many things during Biafra but we cannot do anything now. W were building refineries and guns but why can't we build that now? I love the Biafran story it inspires me that I can be whatever I want. I was thinking about being an engineer but I love business and I want to finance engineers to build great things in the not so distant future. |
Shuffering and smiling mentality. We as a people are too religious. |
I am promoting Nigerian designers on my site www.nigerianedp.com http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nigerian-Economic-Development-Plan/278164788911610?ref=ts Can you guys give links with the designers so I can promote them too? |
I wear Ankara on a casual basis. I am trying to start a revolution where Africans around the world wear it more often. This will create many jobs in Africa. Check out my site: www.nigerianedp.com |
Why aren't the people responsible for supplying them with Arms in trouble? People hear are right the ICC is only for Africa. It is like a global American prison full of blacks just like in America. Clinton, Bush and Obama are responsible for over 6 million Congolese deaths. Bush is responsible for over 1 million Iraq deaths. Obama is responsible for Libyan deaths. Why aren't they in the ICC? Why not any Europeans or Asians? Only Africans. This is just neo-colonialism. UK Bobo: ICC - International Coon Chamber - as far as the West are concerned - should be disbanded. sunical: the ICC is just another puppet like the Nigerian Judiciary. I am not saying Thomas Lubanga Dyilo should be spared, but how about the crimes against humanity in Guatanamo, Iraq, name them?
ICC is just a kangaroo dummy court. Sure this dude commited war crimes, just like Charles Taylor also. But both were back by the US who provided weapons to the war criminimals US Govt from the days of Bush, and even Obama have authorized drones dropping missiles killing women and children in Pakistan for ages, yet the ICC no summon George Bush to The Hague to answer questions of crime against humanity
ebamma: why haven't the icc prosecute george bush till now,or is it only blacks that the prosecute? |
AFRICOM is just neocolonialism. I cant believe Ellen Johnson is allowing a base in her country. This base will be a place where the Americans will use to control West Africa. SMH https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tM7wvI7qhN4 |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apQ5rOxhUEM&feature=youtu.be He is speaking the truth that won't be said on the mainstream news. People need to WAKE UP to what is really going on. Who is really funding these wars in Africa? Why aren't they in the ICC? What do you think about this? |
GenBuhari: If I was US president and witnessed 911, I think I would probably have declared war on all hostile arab countries , so I do not really blame Bush for invading Iraq in the circumstances.Congo is just for greed to steal the mineral wealth of the Congo. They rather save money than buy it.Now Congo may be another matter, I do not know the situation in The Congo. Watch this: http://www.consciousbeingalliance.com/2012/08/witchdoctors-of-watutsiland/ |
Did Emeka Okafor? Andre Iguodala? or other Nigerians in the NBA play? If no, then why not? I know Hakeem Olajuwan has daughter who played college ball did she play in the women's team? How about the Stanford sisters Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike? |
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2169770/Former-President-George-Bush-forgoes-July-Fourth-celebrations-spends-holidays-Zambian-orphanage.html Former President George W. Bush showed his compassionate side by spending Fourth of July at an orphanage in Zambia.I think that George Bush is a sinister evil man who should be in the Hague, but the ICC is only for Africans. He is responsible for millions of deaths in Iraq and he is responsible for deaths in the COngo as well. I don't trust any American president (past or present) in Africa. Including Obomber and Clinton. What are your opinions? |
I dress the way I dress because I am promoting African clothes and putting money into the African economy. I also love the design and the way its colorfull loud and flashy. |
Olodostein: That is a great effort you are making.Daalu nwanne m nwoke. Are you an environmental scientist? Also if you make your site tell me, I will promote it on my site. |
This isn't the best because now if Wizkid gets picked up by an American label then he will get screwed over by the label owners. They won't let him do what he wants. He will just be a slave like many other artists. Also all of the money that was supposed to go to Nigerian record companies will go to American ones. @Afam4eva There is nothing wrong with Yoruba, Igbo or any other langauge. P Square was singin in Igbo in his song with RIck ROss. He should also ear African clothes to rep his culture MORE!! |
Check out this store they are pretty good!! http://www.theafricanstore.org/ |
Olodostein: LOL. I understand what you mean bro and you are right to some extent. But you see, there are some very crazy people out there that would want to intimidate and hurt you for no just cause. They don't understand pure Reason and the non voilent language. So you just have to protect yourself in self defence. I and a friend have been severely attacked by skinheads, so i know where I am Coming from.Lol ok nevermind then. I agree self defence is very important. If tey try and physically attack you then fight back. But it can be dangerous on the streets man. One time I saw some guy trying to fight another and one guy was carrying a srewdriver. So it can get very dangerous, so i just use my mind and intellectually debate them and they actaully fear me and respect me. On one of your earlier posts you said sme Egyptians called you an abeed and you told them to go back across the red sea. They respect and fear smart blacks. |
Olodostein: You make great points with this post. It is good to know there are people out there with concrete plans to make Africa better. AjanleKoko: I think you have your history mixed up, bro. Olodostein: You make great points with this post. It is good to know there are people out there with concrete plans to make Africa better.I do channel my resources back hom. Check out this page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nigerian-Economic-Development-Plan/278164788911610 A lot of my money that I have I spend it on products made in Africa. I have a lot of African clothe, goods, art, and I also spend money in black owned businesses. I am trying to have millions of Africans (blacks) do the same thing. If we can all do this then jobs will be created at home. Money needs to be spend in our community so the economic multiplier effect can turn that dollar into 100 dollars and create jobs, reduce crime and eradicate poverty. Join the movement and put this on your facebook and twitter page. Let's try and start a movement: www.nigerianedp.com |
Olodostein: I get your point. We may disagree as tribes which is natural and engage in healthy competition and heated debate. But I suppose we don't see or label a whole group of other tribe to be on par with animals.I don't condone violence but you are very intellectual Olodostein so debate intellectually and they will respect and fear you. THat is the best comeback. |
all4naija: African clothes from Indonesia?! Please, mode of dressing is not the problem dude!Get organized! To develop the economies you must buy goods made in your country this also promotes your culture. |
You've got me thinking seriously here! Just some initial thoughts. On 'favouring one race over others'. Arguably, this tantamount to favouritism, culminating in discrimination - which, clearly, is one of the characteristic features of racism. On not knowing why this attitude 'is strangely lacking among sub-saharen Africans'. It is indisputably factual that the Europeans, using religion, succeeded in manipulating the thought processes of sub-Sahara Africans (call it indoctrination, if you like). Sadly, religion has so much grip, even if pretentiously, on Nigerians. Like someone mentioned on a thread on NL, when you meet a Nigerian (especially here in the UK, possibly elsewhere too), one of the first questions you are asked is 'which church do you attend?'. The last time a fella asked me that question, I answered "Church? Filled with all those rapists and child molesters called priests? Church? Filled with con-artists who prey on gullible people to take advantage of others in various ways, enriching themselves and globetrotting in jets? You know what? I am old enough and sufficiently educated to know that religion is the greatest scam of all time." OH IT'S SUNDAY MORNING. THANK GOSH NO WORK TODAY AND OF COURSE NO CHURCH. lol.
Madam abeg please spread your knowledge around. Religion is BS, we need to go back to spirituality. Worship our ancestors not Arabs and whites. Religion makes us worship their culture and hate ourselves. We must WAKE UP!! |
Olodostein: Nwanne, a kpasaram ka akwa.I am trying to but it will be hard. We need to get to the people in influence to change. These African artists should wear more African clothes. The leaders should love their people more. The churches should only praise black jesus and black disciples. The church should be more afro-centric. They should pray with an Ethiopian church view. The muslims should be more like Nation of Islam and have an afrocentric point of view. Every student should read books by Dr. Ben Jochamana, Ivan Sertima, Drusilla Houston, JA Rogers, Chauncellor WIlliams, Anta Diop, Walter ROdney and other Afro-centric scholars. Read Black Athena, Stolen Legacy, Destruction of black civilization, African in Science and more to uplift our people. We have become Afropeans (Africans with European mindsets). The media is BS we should watch Russia Today, Press TV, and more independent news stations not the corporate media BS. We have a long way to go nwanee m nwoke. But we can do it. People like you should be in the government not these self haters. |
