A flash back to when Yorubas were having their Schadenfreude dance on Igbo misfortunes in Buhari era and were full of glee for their role in enthroning the now disgraceful Buhari Government. Ndi Yoruba how market? Are we still enjoying our Buhari government that we brought in to punish Ndi 5%? ![]() |
zoedew:No he didn't. |
BKayy:Simple straight enough question. |
Litmus:Did it ever occur to you that what you call "Tribe" in Nigeria, is what they call "Nation" in Europe? What you call tribalism is what they call nationalism. Germans, English, Croats, Serbs, etc. These are tribal nations many of who are not more populated than any of Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba who are basically distinct nations with divergent views forced into a dysfunctional colonial entity together with other independent nations we call minorities. The Ibibio is as big as Croats in population, but Croatia has an independent nation of their own while shortsighted people like you insist on Ibibio being in a dysfunctional colonial entity cobbled together by the British solely for exploitation of the constituents rather than being an independent country of their own. As small as Czechoslovakia was. Just a country of two tribes, namely: Czech and Slovakia, they couldn't reconcile their differences and like reasonable people decided to separate and pursue their goals as independent nations. But men like you keep preaching on unworkable Union for a colonial concoction that has failed to work for 60yrs plus. What exactly is wrong with the black man? |
Muna4real:Wike and Ikwerre people are not Igbos. |
Ojiofor:Ndiigbo cares. We can't be made to take the blame for the deeds of Bini man and Bini people. Asari Dokubo should leave Ndiigbo out his squabble with Ikwerre people and Wike. Ihe nkaa owu Rice? |
PHIjaw Come and carry your fellow Riversmen and learn to keep Ndiigbo out of your minorities squabbles. |
Dear Asari Dokubo. Wike and his Ikwerre people are not Igbos. Ndiigbo had since rejected them. Wike is a Bini man as confirmed by Ogbako Ikwerre, Celetine Omehia and late Elechi Amadi. Ikwerre people are also your fellow "Riversmen", Niger deltans, "South South" and "Awa Oyelians". Please leave Ndiigbo out of your petty minority squabbles. If you have issues with Ikwerres, you can go to the palace of Oba Bini, the ruler of Ikwerre people and present your case. Ndiigbo in Rivers state know us and we know them. They are found in Oyigbo LGA(Ndoki and ASA) and in ONELGA( Egbema clan). And none of them have ruled your Rivers state. Infact despite being amongst the top three onshore oil producing communities in Rivers, Ndiigbo in Rivers state( Egbema, Ndoki and Asa) are highly marginalized politically, infrastructurally and otherwise in the state. They are like outsiders in their own state. |
Nyesom Wike is an Igbo man claiming not to be Igbo just to deceive Ijaws and other ethnic minorities in Rivers State. Nyesom Wike is claiming to be a Niger Deltan even when Ikwerre doesn’t have a drop of oil in their land. Even his fellow Igbo communities like Obigbo, Etche, Ndoni, Omoku, Andoni, Egbema, Ahoada,Ogba and Oguta produce oil except the so called Ikwerre. Ikwerre is only community in Rivers State that doesn’t produce oil but they keep ruling Rivers State. Ikwerre is Fulani of Rivers State because they produce nothing but benefit everything. Nyesom Wike is developing only Ikwerre land without developing oil producing communities. He should develop oil producing communities that have what makes Rivers State great https://9newsng.com/askari-dokubo-blast-wike-you-are-an-igbo-man-claiming-not-to-be-igbo-just-to-deceive-ijaws-other-ethnic-minorities-in-rivers-state/ |
Rossikk:Stop talking like someone who drank Omo. If the narrow gauge were so good, why was it not used for Lagos-Abuja or Abuja-Other far North cities line? |
Kinematics:Ogbia language is classified as lower cross river. Their ancestors were same people as Ibibio, Efik and Obolo ancestors. Engenni, Udekeme, Epie/Attissa speak Edoid language and are basically Edo people. They also have an oral history of migration from Bini. Yes, they identify as Ijaw, because Ijaw is not an ethnic group but rather a political franchise made up of unrelated minority groups whose main unification factor is Nigerian crude oil politics. |
Kinematics:There are 2 tribes in Ahoada West. Engenni whose language is Edoid and who constitute 1/3 of the LGA and Ekpeye whose language is Igboid and who constitute 2/3 of the LGA. |
Kinematics:Pure lies. Ijaw is not in same language family as Edo. Edo, Igbo, Igala, Akokoid,Yoruba belong to Kwa language group called YEAI. Ijaw is not part of it. Actually, there is no language called Ijaw as Ijaw is not a REAL ethnic group but a franchise. The REAL ethnic group is Izon. Engenni, Epie/Atissa , Udekeme( Degema) are actually edoid people, and they have a history of migration from Bini as proven by their Edoid language. Ogbia and Abua, are proto Cross Riverians whose language is related to Efik and Ibibio, just like Andoni. All these people are members of Ijaw Franchise but are not ethnically Izon, as their language obviously prove they are not related to Izons but only share same habitat (mangrove swamp) with them. Ijaw as an ethnic group is fraud. The Engenni man stands better chance of communicating with an Isoko man than he can with an Izon man, because truthfully speaking, he is ancestrally Edoid just like the Isoko and their languages are related. |
Kinematics:Engenni is Edoid and not Ijoid. Its a pity they decided to join the Ijoid franchise just because of oil pipeline protection contracts. |
Igboid:Calyto. The above is the debt your people in Benue (Idoma, Tiv, Igede) own Ndiigbo. One we have not forgotten. Those Igbos your people murdered, their children have grown to adults and have children too. The stories have been retold from father to son and there is a bottled up anger and desire for revenge. Don't start what you can't finish by trying to meddle into issues of Igbo speaking communities indigenous in Benue state. You might not like the reactions you will trigger. |
Ethnomusicolist Charles Keil, who was visiting Nigeria in 1966, recounted: "The pogroms I witnessed in Makurdi, Nigeria (late Sept. 1966) were foreshadowed by months of intensive anti-Ibo and anti-Eastern conversations among Tiv, Idoma, Hausa and other Northerners resident in Makurdi, and, fitting a pattern replicated in city after city, the massacres were led by the Nigerian army. Before, during and after the slaughter, Col. Gowon could be heard over the radio issuing 'guarantees of safety' to all Easterners, all citizens of Nigeria... But the intent of the soldiers, the only power that counts in Nigeria now or then, was painfully clear. After counting the disemboweled bodies along the Makurdi road I was escorted back to the city by soldiers who apologized for the stench and explained politely.. that they were doing me and the world a great favor by eliminating Ibos." [sup][/sup] sissoko22:The story of how Igalas came to be found in Northern fringes of Igbo land is well known and documented. It was a story of invasion of indigenous Igbo groups there by Igala people using superior weapons access to the Islamic transaharan trade availed them. Igala warlords like Onoja Oboli, Ajida all marched down to hapless agrigarian Igbo communities wrecking havoc. Before weapon proliferation happened and those Igbo communities fought back and now have to share the land with Igalas. I'm not Ipobian and I have no desire of sharing Biafra with any minority. The atrocities the Idoma and Tiv committed against Igbo civilians who escaped the pogrom of far North only to be ambushed and massacred by Idomas and Tivs in Benue, who then went on to constitute the bulk of the footsoldiers for the Hausa Fulani Army who invaded Biafra and brought death to our homeland is still fresh on my mind. The only thing I think of when I think of Idoma and Tiv is REVENGE. You lots owe us BIG TIME. Many of us want to move on and let KARMA take its course on you, but you lots are making that difficult. IPOB is senseless talking of forming a country with you lots. No sensible Igbo man who knows his history would think of that nonsense. The right thing would be to make sure we reclaim by all means all our Lands and people in Benue and the erect a big ball between us and you lots to ensure none of you would be able to escape when your Fulani masters come for you. |
calyto:Don't be silly. Ezza villages in Benue state are well documented. How hard is it for you minorities to acknowledge that? See you lots atrocities in Makurdi and Oturkpo against Igbos during the pogrom in the North is still fresh on our minds. Millions of Igbos escaped the far North only to be ambushed by you hateful lots in Benue and killed to appease your Hausa Fulani overloards. Don't ever think we have forgotten your role in spilling innocent Igbo blood during the darkest period of our history. If you try nonsense with those Igbo communities in Benue state, you will pay big time. Abba Moro went there because he is a politician and only cares about the people votes, he isn't there to settle any dispute, quit chatting trash. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thenationonlineng.net/agony-igbos-benue/amp/ |
PHijo:Are there Ijaw speakers in Akwa ibom? Nope. The Ibeno and Eastern Obolo you are claiming all speak Ibibiod language. Even Andoni are Ibibiod language speaking. On your land drag with Edo's at Gelegele. I largely think the Edo are land grabbing there, but both of you are Igbophobic, so I don't really care and would rather both of you stay at each other's throat. Nothing concern me. |
nathyx:Don't be silly. States in Nigeria are artificial. Part of Ezzaland was carved into Benue state during the state Creation. The Ezza didn't steal any land. They were in their indigenous land when some people stayed in Lagos/Abuja and decided they should be in Benue and not in Ebonyi state. Don't make it look like they stole your land, they have always been in their ancestral land before Benue state Creation. If you don't want them as part of Benue, simply call for boundary adjustment so that their lands can be returned to Ebonyi and cease being part of Benue. Idomas have tried for so long to act like Ezza doesn't exist in that zone as indigenous group and we kept quiet because the Igbo political class is useless and have failed us. But IPOB are giving the people a sort of platform to speak out now, and that's why the Ezza that their lands were carved into Benue appear to be in the news more these days. Ezekuna is not a title. Ezekuna is the progenitor of the Ezza tribe of the Igbo nation. Every Ezza person traces his genealogy to Ezekuna. It was Ezza people who gave Moro the Igbo title of "Akpo aza", meaning one who answers when called. With or without Moro visit, Ezza community in Benue exists and Ndiigbo are aware of their presence. When the current useless Igbo political class are phased off, Ndiigbo will seek to reunite all Igbo speaking groups scattered in NC and SS with SE. |

Tranquill:Where is your Ikwerre Okonjo Iweala? Where is your Jay Jay Okocha, Kanu, Iheanacho? Has an Ikwerre man ever made a positive impact on the world stage? Ndiigbo play in the big league both in the world of excellence and in the dark world. We are big players. Your Ikwerre group has nothing to offer. Nothing at all. Tell your Ikwerre people like Amaechi and Uche Okwukwu to stop running after us. Nawao! I have never seen any Igbo public person come out to claim Ikwerre people. |
Tranquill:Speaking before a crowd of supporters at the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign in Aba, Abia state, Amaechi said: I am a bona fide Igbo man. “My name is Amaechi, but President Jonathan who says his name is Azikiwe cannot speak the Igbo language.” “He says his name Ebele; let him speak Igbo and let us see.” https://www.thecable.ng/amaechi-im-igbo-jonathan-says-name-azikiwe-cant-speak-language/amp Even though personally I think Amaechi is a dubious Ikwerre man with nothing to offer Ndiigbo, even though i believe Ikwerre as an ethnic group has nothing to offer Ndiigbo and that Ohanaeze should put out a public statement denoucing Ikwerre and expelling all Ikwerre in the organization, but it is also truth that the dubious Ikwerre man has many times in the past called himself Igbo. Above he said : "I am a bonafide Igbo man". |
garfield1:Oduah is an Igbo name , likewise Oseloka and Anyim. |
Asswipemod:Admitting that all the elites including Akintola and Saraduna were aware of the impending coup, demolishes the Yoruba media propaganda of Zik receiving a special tip off about the coup that other elites didn't receive. I also remember that Zik escape on vacation to Caribbean is one of the many lies Yoruba Igbophobic propaganda machine used to paint the coup as Igbo coup. If we accept that Zik got same tip off Saraduna , Akintola and indeed all the then elites got, but decided to not escape, it weakens the IGBO coup falsehood peddled for decades by Yoruba media even more. So yes! This is a very vital information. |
SLAP44:Buhari refused to step down for Yaradua in 2007. Atiku refused to step down for Buhari in 2019. Olu falae refused to step down for Obasanjo in 1999. But never mind, they all love each other. |
3. “It is important to remember that of this (Ogoja) Province’s 1,082,000 inhabitants, 723,000 are Ibos, almost entirely in Abakaliki and Afikpo (Divisions), while the census classifies 350,000 as “Other Nigerian Tribes.” 4. Graysons:PH has been ruled by people bearing Igbo names since 1999 while you lots cry yourselves to sleep everyday. Yet Portharcourt has nothing to do with Igbo? ![]() |
Graysons:You are not the spokesman for Ikwerres. If you try rubbish you will be all sent to Bayelsa straight up. |
Graysons:Of course, Ikwerre keeping PH or losing it to you Ijaws will be totally dependent on their Igbo denial madness stopping or continuing. If they continue their denial madness, they play into you Ijaw hands and we would be more than grateful to oblige. We will box them in with you guys by erecting a tall fence at Iriebe-Obiigbo border. If they come to their senses and return to the Igbo fold, we will sack you lots and send you to the Atlantic where your ancestors came from, straight up. |
AlexBells:Don't let anyone deceive. No colonial document ever called PH Ijaw city. None! |
