I dey tell you.
The sole language will be Igbo with no MF complaining about that.
We will have no other option than to dredge Azumiri River right from the sea to Orimili Ogbaru.
Our official law will be Igbo themed.
Our culture of rivalry within cities will propel infrastructure development and when our people leave the state, our neighbors will be like "Oh gush the Igbo are here"
Oh Boi Igbo only state will be the sweetest.
The government can use revenues from our Abundance oil (mind you no oil exploration has been down in SE, the ones you see in Anambra, Abia and Imo are discovered by chance) they will use our humongous gas reserve to power our cities and some small countries around us, reactivate the coal and thermal stations.
Oh Boi with our special trait we will end up being the regional power in West Africa
This is the big picture IPOB and other promoters of multiethnic Biafra in Igbo land are not seeing.

Matters arising.

My advice is that you sit him down and tell him what you feel about his present situation.
Tell him your expectations of him and how he has not be meeting them. Hear his own side of the story.
Give him time to see if he takes in your words and change for better. If he doesn't, then kick him out. You have tried enough.

On a personal note, I doubt the guy is capable of change. He has big dreams yet too arrogant to start small, which was why he thinks the legitimate jobs you offered him were beneath him, even though he has no shishi.
His type are usually toxic and make up for their laziness and inability to work dirty to change their own lives, by blaming everyone around them. They are also prone to crime since they desire success without hard work.

You don't need his type around you if you want to go far in life, his negative energy will drain the life out of you.

No one should take Adichie words serious, she would recant them as fast as she made them if pressurised by powers that be.

Some people have said that these posters are not Igbos but some Fulanis born in Igboland, able to speak Igbo.I think they have sworn to make Igbos and Yorubas continue to attack themselves online because it is faceless.

If it is real Igbos, then they have lost it because they are the most cowardly group I have ever known.Even Ojukwu chose a Yoruba man to lead millions of Igbos on their home soil.
Banjo was chosen to lead Biafra march to Lagos to prove to Yorubas that Biafra was not coming to invade them. It was hoped that by seeing that the army is led by a Yoruba son, Yorubas could be more reasonable and open to collaboration with Ndiigbo to flush out the Hausa-Fulani army that had made Lagos their homebase and have been launching attacks on Biafra from there.

But we were wrong. Yorubas were not captives of the Hausa-Fulani, they were conspirators, husband and wife relationship. So when Banjo asked for entry into Yoruba land leading Biafran forces, he was convinced by his fellow Yorubas elites that they were not under captivity, they had reached an agreement with the Hausa-Fulani.
Banjo was also convinced to lead his Army back to East and depose Ojukwu. Banjo sabotaged the Biafran march to Lagos and set off on a mission to depose Ojukwu, which failed and he was hung alongside Ifeajuna who was in on the plot too.
Banjo wasn't chosen to lead the march because he possessed any bravery in him, he was chosen as peace offering to Yorubas, which he and his Yoruba people betrayed in their typical manner.

Igbos can never be coward. The Hausa-Fulani knows that Ndiigbo are not cowards, they knew how hard the war was for them in Igboland despite full British support they had. They know we are the last resistance they have to surmount to achieve their agenda, we made a grave mistake last time around, but it will not be repeated again.

Ndiigbo WILL not attempt to form any form of alliance with Yorubas or any Nigerian group again to fight Fulani.
We will not give you lots the opportunity to use us to reunite with your Hausa-Fulani collaborators against us again.

We will let you fight with them alone while we fight ours alone. If you win them, fine and good, if they win you, good too, because it would mean you will not be in position to gang up against us with them again.
This should be fair enough.

I'm not anti IPOB.

I'm anti IPOB multi ethnic Biafra.
I'm violently against it because I have witnessed the Igbophobic sentiments of non Igbos groups in Nigeria and I know that our Igbo unborn generations deserve a mono ethnic Biafra made up of only Igbo clans, where they can achieve all they are capable of.

I'm against IPOB "Babelian" Biafra with non Igbo groups in SS. I'm also strongly against any plans of any form of alliance between Ndiigbo and people from these groups.
My decision is informed by the events of 1966-70 and the events of today i had observed by being a member of social media platforms of these groups.

It is my desire that IPOB and MNK limit Biafra and their activities to Igbo land and Igboland alone.
It is in trying to push across the above stance of mine that I seem to appear anti IPOB.

There's the Eze family in Benin with various branches. They goes by the morning greetings Lavi-Eze. All established Benin families have morning greetings that identify them and also have chiefs that represents them in the Palace. Why single out two names from the list I gave you.

The people that left Benin took with them names and cultures you guys are now claiming including as Igbo, the names of your market days and titles of some of Obi of Onitsha chiefs, including the Obi's title himself, Agboghidi, his sceptre are all Benin in origin.

Some have argued that Chime was actually Ikhimwin which the Igbos they met in their new land pronounced Chime. The Igbonization of Benin names and words are not peculiar to the eastern expansion of the old Benin empire, most Benin original names and settlements in Lagos were also Yorubanized.

Between Igwe Achebe's yesterday story and Zik's grandmother's yesteryear story which is more credible considering the current political dynamics and geographical location Igwe Achebe finds himself.

Zik's grandmother stressed that Chime was a Benin prince, he carried the Benin royal blood, nobody can be more Benin than that. It may interest you to know that some of the names considered Igbo names today such as, Amadin, ugo, Eze, Okoro and the name of Onitsha must revered shrine Udo were all ancient Benin names, people and places still bear these names in Benin.

The present Igbo land was actually part of old Benin empire.

The fact that the white Americans are proud to be Americans doesn't deny them their various European heritages and lineages.
So Chime sounds Bini to you?
What about Eze too? That sound Bini too? grin

Did the Onitsha people also lost their Benin language.

Hear Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe on Onitsha Benin history.

Nnamdi Azikiwe: My Genealogy and Nativity

"Thus, in tracing my paternal lineage, I could say that both parents of my father are direct descendants of Eze Chima. As for me, I can trace my paternal ancestry in this wise: I am the first son of Chukwuemeka, who was the third child and first son of Azikiwe, who was the second son of Molokwu, who was the third son of Ozomaocha, who was the second son of Inosi Onira, who was the fourth son of Dei, the second son of Eze Chima, the founder of Onitsha."

http://nigeriavillagesquare.com/forum/main-square/75723-meaning-history-onitsha.html

"I can trace my maternal ancestry thus: I am the first son of Nwanonaku Rachel Chinwe Ogbenyeanu (Aghadiuno)Azikiwe, who was third daughter of Aghadiuno Ajie, the fifth son of Onowu Agbani, first daughter of Obi Udokwu, the son who descended from five Kings of Onitsha. Five of these rulers of Onitsha were direct lineal descendants of Eze Chima, who led his warrior adventurers when they left Benin to establish the Onitsha city state in about 1748 AD.
" SOURCE - Nnamdi Azikiwe: My Odyssey, Chapter I (Spectrum Books, 1970) "My Genealogy and Nativity" p5

"One day I asked her (grandmother) the meaning of the word 'Onitsha'. She explained that it had historical significance. The terminology meant one who despised another. It is a contraction of two words, Onini to despise, and Ncha meaning others. So that the two words when joined together mean one who despises others. Then I asked her why we despised others. She patted me on the back and told me that it was due to our aristocratic background and tradition. I insisted that she should explain to me the basis of this supercilious social attitude. She told me that we despised others because we descended from the Royal House of Benin and so regarded ourselves as the superiors of other tribes who had no royal blood in their veins, "

"I continued to belabor my grandmother to tell me more of the history and origins of the Onitsha people. She narrated that many many years ago, there lived at Idu (Benin) a great Oba who had many children. Due to a power struggle regarding the right of precedence among princes of the blood and other altercations, there was a civil war in Benin. One day, the supporters of one of the princes insulted and assaulted Queen Asije, the mother of of the Oba of Benin, who was accused of having trespassed on their farmland. Enraged at this evidence of indiscipline and lawlessness, the Oba ordered his war chief and brother, Gbunwala Asije to apprehend and punish the insurgents. In the attempt to penalise them, Chima, the ultimate founder of the Onitsha city-state, a prince of the blood in his own right, led the recalcitrants against his Uncle, Gbunwala. This intensified the civil war which rent the kingdom of Benin in two and led to the founding of Onitsha Ado N'Idu, , " "As the great trek from Benin progressed, some did not have the stout heart of the pioneer-warrior, and decided to settle at different places, known today as Onitsha -Ugbo, Onitsha-Olona, Onitsha-Mili, Obior, Issele Ukwu, Ossomari, Aboh, etc,
" SOURCE - Nnamdi Azikiwe: My Odyssey, Chapter I (Spectrum Books, 1970) "My Genealogy and Nativity" p 11 - 12
Azikiwe reeled out the names of his ancestors from Ezechima to his father Chukwuemeka.
Did you see a single Bini name in that genealogy?

Moreover the Bini origin of Onitsha is a dead story now. The Onitsha royalty as represented by Igwe Achebe no longer hold that view. History is dynamic.
Onitsha are also proud Igbos today. smiley

Onitsha is not totally a good comparison per se. Zik, the leader of the igbos at a time, was from Onitsha. So the identity crises shouldn't have risen in the first place
. I don't understand how somebody leading will be confused about his identity or be wondering if he really belongs... Let's look at Asaba.. Imediately after the war, Asaba was part of the cities that showed this type of attitude. Infact, it used to be the case in in Asaba during the 70s and 80s. The only reason it subsided in Asaba is because of the presence of intelligent people like the Asagba of Asaba and folks like Chief Sony Odogwu and the fact that Onitsha businesses that migrated to Asaba after the creation of Delta State, did so with little confrontations.

Portharcort has not been lucky with such farsighted individuals. So what happened?? It's because we lost a war and the "Victor's" took time to mutilate our borders and hand over many parts to different groups that supported them. Maybe the majority of ikwerres hate Igbo, if that is the case, then let them go. There are other communities with historical Igbo ties that shouldn't be antagonized because they have noisy leaders good at taunting igbos. Personally, I'm not bothered by the empty rants of the likes Wike and co. I'm not that simple minded. You don't biuld a state by being so temperamental. There used to be a time when Obigbo had this sort of acrimonious relationship with the rest of the Igbo states. Today, they are the ones being massacred for an Igbo cause!

Are we also going to throw away Obigbo? After all until recently, they were showing similar nonchalant attitude towards the Igbo cause.. What led to the epiphany that changed them from nonchalant Igbos to foundamentalist Igbos? Isn't it better to focus on those positives than to twaddle with triffles? If this discussion happened twenty years back, Obigbo will be part of those receiving ultimatums to "declare" or "disappear". Isn't it obvious that instead of engaging in all these petty fights, we should be more concerned with improving the Igbo man's political clout so these minorities can see the GAINS in alligning with us? After all the last time they alligned with us, they were massacred! And we couldn't save them!
Onitsha even when Zik was around suffered deeply from identity crises. And better believe it that if Onitsha wasn't in SE , it could have easily gone the way of Ikwerre and Ika.

Asaba always had intelligent people though. And you are right about the influence of extremely intelligent people like Asagba and Sunny Odogwu played in keeping Igbophobia in check in Asaba.
I doubt it has anything to do with Igbo business transfer and funds from Onitsha to Asaba.
Because we had done the same in PH and all it has earned us is more hate and hate from Ikwerres.

I believe it has more to do with the intelligence level of both groups. The average Asaba person is very resourceful and educated.
They recognize opportunities Onitsha business men bring and are grabbing it. The average Ikwerre man on the other hand is... lipsrsealed , I hope you get the point.

Obiigbo is not Ikwerre. Obiigbo owners are Asa and Ndoki people. They are proud Igbos who inhabit Ukwa West and East LGA of Abia state and few villages in neighboring Akwaibom state no thanks to 1976 boundary dubious boundary adjustment.
Obiigbo never had any acrimonious relationship with SE, you must have mistaking them for some other people.
They can't escape Igbo tag because doing so would mean forfeiting their brothers in Abia which is a No No for them.
The Ijaws have been trying their luck to convert them to Ijaw to no avail.

Thanks for insight Pls. Can You throw Light for Better Knowledge?

Seriously, Where did the Ikwerres Migrate from,Pls?

Before State Creation,What is d Source?

Historians Should Add Flesh,Pls.
No one can say for sure where Ikwerres come from.
But putting together their recent Oral history together and trying to arrive at a near rational conclusion as possible as to who Ikwerre and indeed all Igboid-Bini groups are. The below is what I arrived at.

"A group of Bini people on their way to the place called Ikwerre today , suffered permanent brain damage and lost their Bini language and culture. Every single memory of it was wiped clean from their brain memory. This was unprecedented in history.

When they arrived at Ikwerre land, they had no option but to borrow the Igbo language and culture of their Igbo neighbours. The magnanimous Igbo ancestors expedited this language transfer process by giving Igbo daughters as wives to these lost Bini people Over time, they used their Bini tongue to distort the Igbo language they borrowed to create a denatured language they call Ikwerre language and culture.

However knowing they owe their total existence (culture and language) to Igbo neighbours, instigated a sense of inferiority complex in these Bini people, which grew over time to become the Igbophobia in Ikwerre land we have today.

This is the genesis of cultural and language similarities between Ndiigbo and Ikwerres.

Its been a story of magnanimous Igbo neighbours and lost Bini people who rather than show gratitude to Igbo neighbours for helping them have a language and a culture they could call their own, seeing as their Bini ancestors couldn't evolve one, decided to repay Igbos with eternal hate".

At the end it was the same enemies who joined Germany together to one country.

The former Biafra was never Igbocentric. As a matter of fact, Ojukwu was willing to ceede Igbo ethnic groups in the Midwest to a Benin republic, while his focus was on the minorities in the old eastern region. But when the war turned against us, the midwest Igbo were the ones who fought for their brothers. Those dudes suffered massacres and anahiliation. Today, if the offspring deny their Igboness, many of you will rush to call them fake. But you forgot you first abandoned them in the tick of the war. Ojukwu was human and can be forgiven. If you read his memoirs ”Because I’m Involved” and ”Emeka” by Fredrick Foresight you’ll see his regrets. The war fought by Ojukwu will always remain a mistake. As a matter of fact, Ojukwu never wanted it. But circumstances which consumes youthfulness pushed his fingers.
You lack perspective. Biafra was supposed to be an Eastern region thing, that's why Ojukwu couldn't bring Western Igbo along lest he be accused of annexing the region. All he could do was create a republic of Benin for them at the interim. I'm sure had Biafra won, we would have redrawn the map to include Anioma.

But we all know that in the end, when the dust settled, Igbos were left to bear the albatross of Biafra and the suffering therefore defined and United us as people and separated us from chameleonic Bini Igboids who wanted no part of the suffering.
On the Anioma suffering. Cut the thrash already. Every one suffered.
Nsukka people had to bear the full force of Igbo invasion from the North. You don't see them asking for special favours or denying Igbos.
This bullshit where by some Igbos outside SE try to the picture of being special because they feel they suffered more than us in Biafra is nonsense. No such thing happened. Every one suffered.

We all know why Asaba massacre happened. It happened because the Northern soldiers believed they were avenging Saraduna death on Nzeogwu people. Its bad it happened, but let's not pretend we don't know why.

Anyone denying Igbo is doing it of their own volition. No excuse they can put forward which those of us in SE can't too.

What IPOB is doing today, truth be told they learnt from young Ojukwu. But the old Ojukwu learnt a lot. However, they’ll learn it the hard way. Ojukwu used his memoirs to ask Igbo to forgo the physical Biafra, and rather fight for our dues in Nigeria. That's we haven't really done with all our willingness. The only way you can seek an only Igbo republic is when Nigerian self-destructs on it own. Ojukwu led by example by contesting in the Presidential elections, but pro-Biafran idealist won’t tell you this.
Don't get it twisted. Ojukwu knew Biafra with SS minorities is impossible. He saw it all. My uncle died in the swamps of Ijawland, almost all his troop members were sinked there. Those who escaped told stories of how those minorities joined ranks with the FG and massacred our troops down there. The hate and resentment was real!
Notice Ojukwu focused his messages post civil on Igbos only. He never preached for Union between us and those minorities. He practically concerned himself with just Ndiigbo.
And he never asked us to forgo Biafra. He was wise enough to know that we can't go at it again through war, so we have to pursue it through political process, like Catalonia is doing. Build a strong pro Biafra political party, improve the economy of Igboland and improve the living standard of Igbos in Igbo land.
Push for a degree of autonomy from Nigeria, and take it on from there.
This was what Ojukwu was on for. This is what sensible Igbos thought that IPOB was bringing. Little did we know they were bereft of practical ideas.

Pushing for Biafra will always out us at the receiving end. But seeking for your rights in Nigeria, playing the dirty politics will take us far. And the question needs to be asked, have we really fought the political battle? We haven't. We’ve been messing up and crying about like a minority tribe at any given opportunity.
[/quote]Biafra will always remain the rallying point for Ndiigbo.
Pushing for Biafra will not cost us anything if we set our home right.
Catalonia remain the richest region in Spain yet the fact that Catalonians on the majority want out of Spain is not lost on Spaniards.
Catalonia just folded their sleeves and worked on their land.
Its that simple. If we get our shit right. With or without FG. Our share of monthly allocations and our human resources if well harnessed and managed and not left in the hands of T.A orji and Ikpeazu while Nnamdi Kanu waste the time of Abia youths with stupid talks of Atiku Cameroon origin or Jubril being Buhari clone, would be enough to start an industrial revolution in Igboland.

It defined Germany. Hitler tried to annex all ethnic Germans scattered all around Europe into a big Germany and failed.

I can never be a pro-Biafrian because it's not attainable. But when it comes to being pro-Igbo I can die for my ethnic group.
grin

My idea of Biafra is Igbo only entity, without your Ikwerre friends and their ilks of course grin And its attainable but through political process, first as an autonomous entity within Nigeria and then push it up later.

Which fraudsters? I can never be a party to any heterogeneous Biafra with Igbophobic groups down South, that's stupidity. I know better. smiley
Those propagating such nonsense need mental evaluation.

Few months back, the Oba of Lagos came out openly to say that Lagos is not yorubaland. I mean the Oba of Lagos said that openly! The Yorubas trying to harass you out of the south south all heard it but pretended they didn't! They never seriously challenged that. There were historical facts to some parts of that assertion. They all knew. But they also knew that a loose cannon was on the throne! They didnt even reply him! Maybe they went to him in private or maybe that's why they sent thugs too go and loot his kingdom down! But I guess, if it's the Asagba of Asaba that said Asaba is not Igboland, we will all be matching to the United Nations to ask that folks from Asaba be sliced off from igboland and be thrown away..
Yorubas have full control of Lagos. An Osun man hold sway in Lagos and they know how to bring the loquacious Oba to his knees if need be.

Its not same with Ndiigbo and Ikwerres. We are not politically in control of PH. So you might need to put things in perspective.

A good comparison would have been how Ndiigbo have handled Onitsha identity crisis. Using the power we control in Anambra we have managed to get Onitsha to mellow and fit into the Igbo identity seamlessly. This wouldn't have been the case if Onitsha and Ogbaru were in a state we don't control.

Apples and oranges bro.

No you are. You are too weak and emotional for my likening. Igbo are not know to be weak and tearful. Sit up and be a man. What the fu*ck is wrong with you people. If things don't go your way, you become defeatist. Be pragmatic.
Says the man crying over my opinion that Ndiigbo should cut out his Ikwerre friends from Ohanaeze Ndiigbo.

You are the emotional one. Grow up bro.

I have been consistent on my position on Ikwerre for 2yrs now.

Pazi is not an IPOB from my understanding. But I’ve realized that he’s easily emotional and manipulative when it comes to issues that concerns Ndigbo. And that I’m deeply disappointed with. I don’t hide my own.

If Igbos can understand this country, we won't cry wolf at every given opportunity. Everything must not be seen from the prism of Biafra. Read up what Pazienza wrote up there and you’l see how he stylishly brought in Biafra into the picture. If you must fight for the Igbo nation, or Igbo political survival, or Igbo ethnic identity come clean.
You are the emotional one who has issues with Biafra.
Your problem, not mine.
I also noticed you have personal relationships with so few Ikwerre persons and so emotional when we talk about cutting off the entire Ikwerre from Igbo.
You are emotional. You can't rise above your personal entanglements with Ikwerre friends to stand by what is best for Ndiigbo.
I will have you know I have personal Ikwerre friends too,and if you go through my my posts on Ikwerre/Igbo issues on this forum in the past, you will notice I use to preach for Unity between Ndiigbo and Ikwerres, but events have changed and hence my new stance on this issue.

Biafra is the soul of Igbo patriotism and nationalism.
Its almost impossible to be altruistic towards Igbo cause without being pro Biafra.
So yes! I'm not just pro Biafra, but I consider myself Biafran.

Deal with it bro.

Yes Iwhuruosa the progenitor of the Ikwerres was from Bini. It's the truth they only say in their bedrooms because of the circumstances with which they escaped Bini.

When Wike said 'No I am not Igbo', why didn't he expantiate on his genealogy as a Bini man? There are stuffs he doesn't want the world to know and that's what I am revealing to you now. grin
I like the sound of Iwhuruosa! The Osa there must be abridged version of Osagie.

So I'm guessing the full name is Iwhuruosagie! grin
