Ahamefuna0001:Interesting. Imo is doing great and all other SE states are well represented. I'm glad to see this. We are doing well. |
Maduawuchukwu:Do they ever think through the actions? Ndi isi aku oyibo. |
Maobichek:Igbo Izugbe uses more Abia/Imo words, but uses Anambra/Enugu sentence structure. Example 1 They are playing there. Imo/Abia: Ha gwuga egwu nga-ahu/ebe-ahu Anambra: Fa na-egwu egwu ebe-afu Igbo Izugbe: Ha na-egwu egwu ebe-ahu |
afube:Is forming the ESN right? Yes! And every sensible Igbo supports him on that. Seeking for allies where none exist is foolish and waste of time. If MNK can spend more time in sober reflection and analysis of events occurring in SW and all parts of Nigeria rather than on talking, he would understand why there are no allies to be won in Yoruba land. Let me analyse the Igboho situation for you. Igboho realized that Yoruba elites like their counterparts in SE are not interested in tackling the Herdsmen issue because of their vested selfish political interests, so he tried to tackle the elites. He fired at the Ooni of Ife, he was counting on the support of the Yoruba commoners to bring their elites to their knee to do the right thing. This isn't different from the confrontation MNK had with Igbo elites before Ohanaeze and Igbo governors went and brought in the Python when it became obvious MNK would not bend. Unlike MNK, Igboho doesn't have support of the Yoruba commoners, because the Yoruba society is built on respect of the elders and not respect of what is right or who is doing the right thing. So while Igbo grassroot backed MNK to tackle and insult Igbo elites, Yoruba commoners wanted Igboho to go apologize to Yoruba elites in the name of Omoluabi. The Yoruba commoners are held down by their gerontology culture, the Igbo commoners are not. Igboho simply cannot fight on without Yoruba commoners support, so he had a mini exile in Germany where he reassessed his options and realized that Yoruba commoners were not worth throwing his life away for, if they are going to support their erring elders over him. In one breath, the Yoruba commoners want Igboho to help them chase Herdsmen away, and in another breath they want him to do so while respecting their elites whose interest involves letting the herdsmen stay in Yorubaland just to stay in good book of their(Yoruba elites) Fulani political benefactors. The Yoruba commoners therefore suffer from cognitive dissonance, and Igboho is wise enough to not get caught in their maze. Igboho has done what every reasonable person in his position would do. He has surrendered to the Yoruba elites. So effectively speaking, there are no allies to be won from SW as things stand,as Igboho has been forced to bend the knee to the Yoruba elites who like their Igbo counterparts are sell outs. If Kanu had done his homework well, he would have realized this and stop setting Ndiigbo up in the name of useless alliance where non exist. |
Balkan:Any Igbo that refuses to be under the brainwashing agenda of your demigod , becomes a Sabo. Jisinu ike. |
Tranquillity360:OK. I understand. We can agree to disagree. Nsogbu adiro. |
okeyglm:So because she bears Amadi, she is now Igbo? Lol! Let me tell you. Northern cross river groups bear Igbo sounding names like Igwe, Egbonna, Ibe, etc. But they are not Igbos and their language are no way related to Igbo language. |
Balkan:Another IPOB member. All you do is throw expletives around. Zero independent thinking. Ikegwulu! |
Tranquillity360:If this is his goal. Then keeping quiet rather than being loquacious would help him better. The Yorubas are not stupid people, so there is no way Kanu talks will influence their actions. Kanu would simply make himself a clown and expose Ndiigbo as pawn in Yoruba chase game with the North. Let him learn to keep silent . Silence is golden and gets more things accomplished. It also leaves your opponents guessing what your next moves would be thereby allowing you with better room to manoeuvre things to your own favor going forward. |
OP makes a good case. Especially on IPOB and MNK stupid fascination with Yorubas. |
Tranquillity360:Unfortunately, he knows nothing. He needs to be saved from himself before he put us all in danger. Sadly he has surrounded himself with people who are incapable of independent thought process, so they have deified him, such that no one can correct him now within IPOB ranks. All he has with him are YES men. |
afube:Kitikpa! Onye eriri eri. Ubulu eke! Did Yorubas ask for KANU help to save Igboho? Did Igboho ask for Kanu help? Why can't Kanu allow Ndiigbo have a rest small and let FG and Igboho/FG battle small. Why must Kanu drag us into things we have no reason getting linked with? Where is his ako na uche? Uche unu ezukwalu ezu? Oge obuna "chocho chocho!" |
Tranquillity360:That's stupidity. Wisdom is keeping silent and watch things behind the scenes. That way you benefit more without getting involved. Igboho had dissociated himself from Kanu , Yorubas and Igboho never asked for Kanu help. Why is Kanu always eager to stay in the news? Why all this desire to seek attention? A leader accumulate and evoke awe through calculated silence, such that whenever he speaks, people listen. Kanu is like a radio without battery. Always getting himself and Ndiigbo involved in issues we have no link with. |
IPOB and MNK are pathetic lots. Begging for unity up and down. Shameless lots. What is the link between Ndiigbo and Yorubas? Did Igboho ask for KANU help? Kedu udili ife ifele bu udili ife nka. Tufia! |
okeyglm:I'm sure you must be an IPOB member. Many of you are impervious to rational thinking and quick at throwing expletives around. Zero decorum, zero tact, zero knowledge. Just empty and loud, bringing endless disgrace to Ndiigbo. Tell me the name of the town in Abi where Igbo is spoken as first language. |
Logan23:There are no Igbo speakers in Abi LGAs. Liyel Imoke speak Igbo because he schooled in Igbo land. |
OfoIgbo:K |
Well, look what we have here! An Obi Wali descendant Where was he when the likes of Wike and Omehia were dancing their Igbophobic Surugede dance? Yeah! I thought as much, he kept quiet, not a single press release from him. My opinion on Ikwerre is well known on this forum, so no point flogging a dead horse. Ohanaeze is making a ridicule of themselves. If you must give an Igbo from Rivers state a post in Ohanaeze, look no farther than Ndoki, Asa communities in Oyigbo LGA and Egbema in Rivers state. It shouldn't be that hard to not send person wey no send you, should it? |
Logan23:Imoke is from Itigidi town in Abi LGA. His ethnic group is called Agbo or Legbo. They are not Igboid or anyway related to Igbo language. They are Ekoid. Imoke married an Igbo woman from Enuani Delta state. There are indigenous Igbos in Cross River, but Imoke and his Abi people are not Igboid. The Igbos in Cross River are found in Obubra LGA of the state, they are called Isobo. See a thread I made about them:https://www.nairaland.com/3425009/meet-isobos-igbo-speaking-tribe |

NkanAkpanika:Imo state seem to have more medium and small scale as well as estate plantations than Akwa Ibom. While Akwaibom have by far the largest wild groove. |
forgiveness:There is actually no group called Olukumi in Aniocha, they are called ODIANI . And they speak Igbo as first language and not as second language. That Olukumi are Yoruba is a historical misinformation. The kings in Olukumi are of Ondo origin, but they didn't meet the land empty. They met indigenous Igbos there who accepted their leadership. So when the king was saying that Odiani migrated from Yoruba, that's not the full story. The full story is that the royal family were Yoruba soldiers from Owo side who were sent on expedition to Aniocha by Oba Bini, they loved the people and decided to settle amongst them and were made kings. See:http://ugboduanioma..com/2018/11/a-brief-untold-history-about-igbo.html?m=1 |
Well I agree with him. Multiethnic Biafra with the tower of Babel called non Igbo groups in SS , the type IPOB and Nnamdi KANU are canvassing for, will be worst than South Sudan. And no sensible Igbo should support such disaster. Multiethnicity is a big disadvantage to national cohesion. There is a reason the Biblical God scattered the people building to heaven by giving them multiple languages. The non Igbo clans in SS will be a big liability to Biafra being a viable country, and any Igbo seeking to have them in Biafra is an Enemy of Igbo land. A Monoethnic Biafra comprising of SE and all proudly Igbo and Igbo speaking clans in SS, will on the other hand have all the necessary ingredients to go on and be a viable progressive country. |
Omuaro38:You are spot on , on Esan and Ibibio women. Esans have always intermarried with the Igbo(Anioma) , so it reflects on their phenotypic features quite unlike the edoid tribes. In fact many Esan communities assimilated many Igbo speaking people in the past. You will struggle to differentiate Esans from Igbos by mere physical looks. https://www.nairaland.com/3463205/igbo-speaking-people-inter-relationship Ibibio/Efik and Annang women are very beautiful and they know it. ![]() |
okigbojihad:I belong to Ijaw social media platforms. Everyday their ladies will be crying about how their men leave them for Igbo wives and Mistresses. Its usually a recurrent topic in their platforms. ![]() |
alohman:Please don't bring that division here. Both Ezza and Effium are Igbos. You lots should sort yourselves out ASAP. |
Misterone:Since SE don't contribute anything to your dead Nigeria, shouldn't that be more reason for all of you to gather and expel the parasitic SE from your dead Nigeria? How exactly is it any of your concerns if we die or survive in Biafra? Your dead Nigeria is already a failed country and poverty capital of the world, shouldn't you be more worried about how to help yourselves and not about Biafrans? |
Osagyefo98:Ezza Ezekuna people are full blooded and bonafide Igbos. More Igbo than you yourself could ever be. |
adadike:Don't say what you are not sure of. Both parties (Ezza and Effium) are not faultless. |
Misterone:Why should the existence of Biafra be tied to absence or presence of communal clashes? Communal clashes are happening in Nigeria, why then is Nigeria still existing? In Biafra, we would resolve our communal clashes by improving the living standard of the population. Its that simple. |
Omuaro38:Why wouldn't they rope Igbos in, when IPOB wouldn't leave minorities alone? |
Ardar:IPOB and its leadership are a disgrace. This constant unity begging is unbecoming. It doesn't make sense to me. This is madness! |
