Austinpee4: Lol. Funny guy. Let's use this analogy.
So help your sponsor appear a comfortable sponsor to a visa officer by showing a statement of account that have little or more over their requirements. It's going to be a huge financial burden and you shouldn't in any way show any sign of sponsor meeting just MINIMUM requirements. The more the better.
Okay, totalled expenses for de year CAD31k, den full tuition of CAD15k paid.. sponsor balance nw reduces to say #14mill acct statement afta tuition payment.. sponsor got wife & a son. what wil b de fund available . |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Igbouwanile(m): 4:02pm On Apr 04, 2017 |
Austinpee4: It means funds actually available ONLY for your study. If you are using a sponsor, i would believe he/she will not empty an account for these purpose. Some left-over should be there for other needs. So equate your tuition and living expenses for a year and avail that as funds for your study. If it's the exact as the closing balance, input same otherwise, fiqures should amout to the equivalent of tuition and expenses ONLY. Which is still de balance on the sponsor acct nah |

Please does funds available for study/stay mean stating de balance on sponsors statement of account in the form? |

@Wale309 May be I should also state here that I withdrew almost all the money within one week after submission, dont know if that really had anything to do with the refusal.. someone just offered to drop his company's account as my sponsor with over 10m in it, will this augur well for my application since there's no money in my mum's account again? Thanks in anticipation for a good and helpful response.[/quote]Sorry for the refusal, such happens, what matters is how u respond 2de concerns in ur next application.. Are u working wit de company, is de sponsor de sole signatory 2de account, why is de company sponsoring you?
Please @bolded... did u mean all de money in ur mum's account & yours was witdrawn immediately u submitted? |

Austinpee4: Having read lots of post lately about funds and sponsorship, pls indulge me to make these points.
1. Anybody can choose to sponsor you but you stand a better chance with a 3rd party/company sponsorship when they have commited funds to your study as well as proven relationship to you. The sponsorship letters should ONLY tell officers where the funds is coming from and why they decided to sponsor you. Anything other than that will leave alot of questions in a visa officer's minds that your supporting documents/case must answer to. If you can satisfy these questions then by all means, use them.
2. Funds to be filled in the application form should be for one year. You must also show means of funds for the second year if your program is more than a year. Also,if you are self sponsored and have all the funds for the duration of your program( 1or 2 years) you can fill the equivalent in the available funds section.
3.Endeavour to use an affidavit of sponsorship if you are using a 3rd party sponsorship. Relatives and family members are mostly reliable sponsors because there is some kind of blood connection and your overall academic pursuit will bring some advantage or pride to them when they sponsor you. The overall interest of a person willingly sponsoring you must somehow be seen in your application. People put their money where their heart or interest is.
4. Make sure you don't submit a statement of account that doesn't have traceable source(s) of accumulated funds. The 6 months SOA required by CIC is most LIKELY to quantify and ascertain how funds available was accumulated and if funds will be generated for subsequent year once program is more than a year.
5.You and your sponsor(s) should not play smart about making funds available just to get the VISA. CIC requirements of having funds for tuition and living expenses in LIQUID form for a year is standard. Your funds available must meet this requirement to get your study permit approved.
6. After your purpose of visit is in-check and convincing, the next most important thing is the funds for your study. You must convince officers that indeed, you will have the funds that you have declared. This is really IMPORTANT. People who get refused a study permit even when the have huge amount of funds to show didn't meet other requirement of a study permit and PURPOSE OF VISIT is usually and often time the main issue.
Finally, Choose programs and school you and your sponsor can afford. It is one thing to be admitted to a program and it is another to prove to canadian immigration officers that you can meet the challenges of studying in canada without a recourse to their government in whatsoever capacity. They want to make sure they discourage the idea of you working to fund your studies as the expect international students to invest funds in their economy while they make it very attractive to foreign students. It's a give and take situation.
All the best to the hopefuls. Nice point bro.. such a vital info. |

Austinpee4: Other means miscellaneous funds and it's not compulsory to fill unless it is also written on your admission letter or you explictly have divided your funds in all aspect and want to state it. The part with the esterisk (*) on the form is compulsory and must be filled. The main thing is that the funds available for your stay is proportionate to the funds available in a SOA or is equivalent to proof of funds transferred to canada or any other financial means. Okay, thanks man |

Austinpee4: Fill the tuition fees as written on your admission letter while the funds available should be the cummulative of your tuition, living expenses and miscellaneous funds for one year. Input the figure appropriately. Am interested in this aspect, I knw funds available shud b one year tuition plus CAD10000 what is other?? |
