PoliticsRe: Petrol Now N408 (17 Rand) In South Africa by ignant: 6:50pm On Oct 04, 2018
The impact index on the consumers in SA will be lower than when compared to Nigeria.

Compare the standard and cost of living in Nigeria with that of SA.

Compare the minimum wage in Nigeria with that of SA.

Now compare the welfare index in Nigeria with that of SA.

The most disturbing thing about the zoo called Nigeria is that it has a mono economy. This means that any thing that impacts the mono- product affects the economy.

Over 91% of Nigeria's GDP is from crude oil export, and is an import dependent economy. This is not so at all for SA which has net export of three times of import, which includes oil which they refine and export.

So don't compare the impact of this and begin to imagine it compares favourably with the zoo.
PoliticsRe: Disquiet In SSS, Officers Threaten To Undermine Buhari’s Reelection, Boko Haram by ignant: 5:38pm On Oct 04, 2018
smirn:
I continue to maintain that the media is one of the greatest threat to Nigeria democracy and good governance. The media is easily used by politicians to create feeling of hatred and negative perception about any government in power. Nigerian problem is not the president, our problem is within us. The level of ignorance among us in evidently notable coupled with wrong impression forced on us by the media which has continually tear us apart as a people. The type of journalism in Nigeria is indeed laughable and is far beyond acceptable global standard. The effect of bad journalism to Nigeria democracy is even worst than vote buying and rigging during election.
Why will someone want to paint the president black because of a lawful appointment he made? In the first instance what is the DSS meant for? The State Security Service (SSS), self-styled as the Department of State Services (DSS), is the primary domestic intelligence agency of Nigeria. It is primarily responsible for intelligence gathering within the country and for the protection of senior government officials, particularly the President and state governors. It is one of three successor organisations to the National Security Organization (NSO), dissolved in 1986. The SSS operates as a department within the presidency and is under the control of the National Security Adviser.
Now, since 1999 the appointment into the office ofthe DGof the Secret Service in Nigeria has been like this, Obj came and appointed a Yoruba man Lateek Kayode Are to head the service. Immediately obj left, Yar Adua fired Kayide Are and appointed a northerner from Borno state Gadzama Afakriya to head the DSS. After the death of Yar Adua, GEJ came in and on the 7th of Sept 2010, he appointed a southerner from Cross River State by name Ita Esien Ekpeyong as the DG of of the DSS. So why is PMB case so different now? Even the mentioned elder statemen who are condemning the appointment of Yesuf Bichi has no moral right to do so going by history. There is clearly too much enimity against the government and they is no way we can succeed as a nation without giving the required love and support to our leaders.
You are being mischievous.

Has there ever, in this country, been a period where all but one of the heads of security services were from one region? The feeling of helplessness is fuelled by what the coupist has orchestrated in ALL but one arms of the forces. Never before has a man been so outwardly nepotistic with reckless abandon.

The DSS appointments made by the previous administrations you mentioned were officers STILL in service. Going to bring retired officers back into service breeds loom, breaks protocols and generate rancour.

If you must choose officers, twice, maybe choose the ones in service. Even though all but one other heads of service are from a region.
EducationRe: Nigeria Now Has 13.2 Million Out Of School Children – UBEC by ignant: 4:07pm On Oct 04, 2018
A great percent of these kids will grow up to be menace to the society. We have enough data to suggest what part of the country most of the kids reside.

Despite having the most turn at power, the core North remain the most uneducated, the most poverty ridden, the most diseased, the most impervious to knowledge and the most violent.

Future terrorists being bred by the North.

I believe fear has created an inexplicable human response to a stimulus. It is not ordinary. A case of when fear drives you to become irrational and consequently take steps that will even hurt you. I believe there is need for group psychiatric therapy and cognitive realignment.
Are you suggesting that they have been battered till their only choice is affection for what they fear? Are you suggesting that they have been reduced to unquestionable loyalty and love for their oppressors? Could your suggestion provide answer to how a supposed educated man will scream " Tinubu so wipe (Tinubu says that)"?

That's Stockholm syndrome.

Ambode whom just three months ago was claimed to have built the most infrastructure in Nigeria.

When Kanye West said "400 years of slavery was a choice", was he speaking about a certain part of Nigeria?

Could wilfull submission to an overlord be a slavish tendency or even a genetic defect?

Let me go make some research.

When Oba Lil Wayne boasted genocide on an ethnic group if Ambode didn't win, he was subtly applauded and goaded by zombies on this forum. Ambode and Lagos were the pride of the South West and Nigeria- there are multiple threads here that can be cited as evidence.

Until three months ago, the same people that tooted Ambode's horn are the same people now claiming, three months later, that he did nothing.

Sociologists, and then psychologists have to commission a scientific study to explain the source of this great deal of cognitive dissonance.

No other group in history has been known to show such willing and unrestrained desire to submit to a well demonstrated exploitative overlord.

If sociologists can't explain it, then geneticists should take up the mantle and see if it is a genetic defect.

Never before, not even during the military era, did ALL but one of the heads of security services come from one region. Never before.

It calls to reason why the dullard has this phobia. The dullard is a victim of his criminal ways when he toppled a democratically elected government.

So this dullard knew before hand how incompetent he is and the possibility of resentment, so he made those appointments.

It's just like how a man who kills with a machete will feel uneasy if you hold a machete around him.

Until three months ago, he was the best performing governor in Nigeria with multiple threads on this site extolling his activities.

After the zombies got signal from their command and control center, he suddenly turned one of the worst, with miscreants like Aregbe and Bello criticising him.

Such instability is laughable.
PoliticsRe: Nicholas Ukachukwu Defeats Bianca Ojukwu At APGA Senatorial Primaries by ignant: 11:20am On Oct 04, 2018
This is a great result, if it was conducted right. Election victory should be by merit.

Nothing like "Oga so wipe"..."Tinubu so wipe" etc.

Until three months ago, Ambode was the "best and most performing" governor in Nigeria. After the zombies had their firmware updated from the command and control center, he is now one of the worst and even criticized by miscreants like Yahaya Bello and Aregbesola.

Filthy and unstable mentality.

Pay the clown no mind. He is flying a kite for the security services. He has been mandated to talk about it in public so they can monitor the mood of the masses. The same way the Nigerian security created RNDA, TRIPOB, REIPOB and whatever else their illusory minds invented.

Nnamdi Kanu is with the Nigerian government. If you know, you know.
PoliticsRe: Photos Of Soldier Killed By Boko Haram 3 Months After Welcoming Baby. by ignant: 4:07pm On Sep 19, 2018
Any southern soldier who still hasn't observed the unjust deployment deserves whatever he gets.

Boko haram is a northern creation. It was always bound to happen. No society with that dangerous breed of poverty and institutionalized ignorance by their elites can escape such tragedy. If there was no Boko haram, there would have been another terrorist entity in another guise.

Boko haram is a northern creation. Southern soldier must stay away from it. Let the north face the monsters they created and fed.

I spit on the grave of any southern soldier who chooses to die for such lies.

PS: The middle belt had and has never been part of the North. This is reflected in their tolerance, culture and ethos. Don't let the geographic expression fool you.

Boko Harams version of Sharia is more extreme than the Sharia proposed by many muslims. Thats why you still see muslims also fighting again extreme Islamist groups world wide.
Provide the Boko haram "version of sharia" and I will be kind enough to provide you with existential cases of that version that has been in operation and execution in other Islamic countries.

Of what benefit are his claims to their people if at the end of the day, they remain the most poverty ridden, the most diseased, the most uneducated, the most violent, the most impervious to positivity?

If your people have had the most power yet, they remain at the lowest indices of all social and societal growth, then it is pitiful.
PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Releases Pictures Of Attack On Gudumbali Town In Borno. by ignant: 9:56am On Sep 10, 2018
The north created these monsters via their oppressive mix of religion and poverty. They must stew in it.

Buhari said Boko haram deserve amnesty. When Boko haram were being decimated in 2014, Elrufai and other filthy northern elders said it was a fight against the North and they went further to foreign countries to prevent them from selling arms.

So what has changed now? Is the fight still against the North?

These scenes are sweet music to my ears.

Sane people see the unfortunate failure of the government to protect its people despite its propaganda and outright lies. Only a sicko sees concrete roads, streetlights and North/South propaganda in the face of encroaching terrorism!
You are probably unaware that Boko haram have sympathisers and those who are at best, indifferent to their exploits. These people are Muslims and they have realised that Boko haram is fighting for a divine injunction as laid down by the Quran.

Boko haram is fighting a jihad for Sharia, and they call their opponents " murtaddin". This same sharia has been passed throughout the North by their governors. Boko haram is now fighting for the power to implement it without fear of secularity.

You either recognize this fact or continue being politically correct with their sympathisers on nairaland, who will slit your throat if they get the chance.
