In other climes, the dead bodies of those who died mysteriously will be exhumed, and an autopsy will be carried out to determine the actual cause of death.

But in my country we politicize everything and we are not known for doing the right thing.
Don't you hear that a committee will be set up to continue verbal auautopsy ?

Stay tuned.

Properties › Re: Fire At NNPC Petrol Station, College Road, Ogba (Pictures) by ignis: 1:45pm On Apr 27, 2020
Nigeria is more of a reactive country than a proactive country.

What is NNPC petrol station doing very close to Residential and Commercial buildings ?

Secondly, A 3 digit or unique phone number of police and fire service should be at the finger tip of every Nigerians incase of emergency like this. In the states the number is 911.... In Nigeria what is the number ? If telecommunication companies can have such customer care numbers like 111, 180, 121 etc, why can't the security agencies have it?

15 minutes after the fire incidence started, people were busy forwarding broadcast on WhatsApp and other social media, even the op created the thread calling for attention of fire service.

We need to re strategise and get it right for once.

Health › Re: Senegal $1 COVID-19 Test Kit And $60 Ventilator (Video) by ignis: 1:20pm On Apr 27, 2020
Shame to Nigeria. Our leaders should bury their faces in shame now. We are blessed with wealth and enough mineral resources more than every African counties.

Nigeria have the highest number of professors, universities, graduates and population in Africa.

We remain Giant of Africa in the book, with nothing to show for it.

I am not surprised that we are where we are, a man that did not pass common WAEC is the president presiding over professors, doctors and technocrats in different fields.

The president that claim to be an army general cannot even assure security or win the fight against insurgency.

I weep for this country.

People are dying massively in Kano and our leaders are keeping a deaf here and handling it with kids glove. As we speak there is no COVID-19 testing center in kano - a state with average population of 15 million people.

In my next world, I won't dare to pass through Nigeria.

So it's now by force to donate money to the government right? Without consultation with labor union or workers. Other countries are helping their citizens in difficult times like these, so what you can think of is to double the hardship on your people?
If you think there's still hope for Nigeria, then I don't know what to say to you angry

Health › Re: Suspected COVID-19 Patient Runs To Police As Attempts To Reach NCDC Fail by ignis: 10:48am On Apr 27, 2020
As far as NCDC remains a government controlled organization it will be a mess just like public schools and public offices.
Government establishment in Nigeria have been hijacked by nepotism and bureaucracy from the point of employment to retirement hence the lackadaisical attitude displayed by government workers.

So police station is now the place to visit if one shows COVID-19 symptoms as a result of incompetency of NCDC

I pray trigger hungry blood drunk policeman won't fire an innocent patients that run to the station for help.
