I am surprised at the uproar this issue is causing. Firstly, this man spoke his personal opinion. So it should not count compared to if he was speaking for Christians or for the Catholic church he represents. Secondly, he did not call for a coup, he said if a Christian was in power and did this, a coup would have happened. The uproar tells a couple of things.
1. This man is relevant

Very correct. Buhari is the only thread holding the APC. Unfortunately, he too is fast loosing credibility. And he has a 'siddon-look' attitude. If he does not crown someone to take over from him, and repeats the Saraki senate adventure, APC will simply implode.
