Educating and awesome read. Couple of questions. 1. With you going out to high seas, how do you avoid pirates? 2. All through your operations, did you encounter any emergency? A fallen bird? 3. Is this kind of a Nigerian thing? Or the IOCs do this monitoring across the world?
Despite all of your adventures, your writing skills are more exciting than your adventures, love it.

You are a father indeed. Awesome analysis. grandlexuz: What this girl needs at this point is a good lawyer and not interviews with journalists who care next to nothing about her welfare. For the news outlets and bloggers it is all about trending and being the first to report the colour of the bra she wore on the night of the incident..
As a father to a teenage daughter I pity her and wonder at what point drugs could push a 21 year old girl to murder. Afterall fights and disagreement broke out all the time at Hard Drug Smoking Joints and murder is never always the outcome..
If she made payments for the Short Service outlet then she definitely knew it was a night for sex. After all what business has a 21 year old undergraduate got with a 50 year old CEO. Whatever went wrong I doubt self defence was a major factor that led to the CEO's death.
The absence of visible marks on the girls body puts self defence at bay. You cant defend yourself and come out without a black eye or cuts to the body judging a knife was involved. She came out unscathed while the man got three fatal wounds. Me think after the emotional ploy to get the man's pincode her anxiety and motive to kill heightened.
You complain the man doesn't meet your needs nor take care of you. When he hands over his card and pin you say that's not what you want and meant. Went ahead to kill him, cleaned off and left to the ATM to withdraw money for your fees. That she moved on so easily in the face of a gruesome murder is frightening. I think I need to ask my daughter some questions.
I have seen men given a new lease to life by side chicks, I have seen others die young at the hands of their wives; a lady just got the death sentence for slaughtering her husband. I have seen men abandoned by their wives during times of hardship and sickness only for a side chick to step in and make a difference. At such I will not judge Ataga. Just like Abacha he wasn't lucky.
Disturbing though is the news of a 50year old man smoking SK and Loud with a girl young enough to be his daughter..It was not just a side chick relationship but a toxic party that went bad for both parties. |

Banks are subject to the CBN because they are managing the public's funds. Before you become a bank director sef, CBN has to approve. Before you can sell your bank, CBN has to approve. Remember Jim Ovia and other 'powerful' bank founders? CBN dethroned him from being the MD of a bank he founded. It's regulations. yanabasee1: Is first bank a branch of CBN? |

Nigerians do not like to follow up on issues. You do not need anyone to call out the airline. Report them to the Consumer Protection Council. I once had an issue like this, Was flying from Bamako to Lisbon via Turkish. The flight from Bamako was supposed to take off by 10pm nut the plane arrived by midnight. Las las, as we were landing Istanbul, my flight to Libon was taking off. The airline put me in hotel, fed me but I still reported them because they made me pay for transit visa into Turkey. I paid 40 Euros for the transit visa, they gave me 400 Euro credits to fly with them as compensation for not paying for my 40 Euro visa. |

[quote author=Penguin2 i2as twlli g some folks in a whatsapp group I belonged to that dangote is not the solution to our fuel problem. He can be a solution but from anticidents, he will make our fuel problems worsen. People also need to realize that dangote refinery is Not in Nigeria. It is only physically located in Nigeria but does not operate from Nigeria. It is in a free trade zone, which mens they will operate like they are in their home country. The home country of the refinery is USA. post=99840438]Dangote has turned himself to a very sadistic capitalist.
Man is ready to impoverish the whole of Nigeria if it will give him more money.
Just like Bill Gates that is ready to infect the world with a deadly virus so he can sell vaccine.
BUA CEO was accusing him the other day of being the reason that cement is still expensive in the country. He wouldn't allow govt throw the sector open to numerous investors.
Now he's building refinery and he is already suggesting that only those with refinery license should be allowed to import fuel so that he can tighten the sector and sell a litre at #500.
The next Southern president should stop that man. Especially the cement industry. It should be thrown open to all interested investors.[/quote] |

Nigeria is giant of Africa for two reasons. 1. Our population. When you talk of black people globally, Nigerians are about 1 in every 8 black persons. That is why it is easy for our bad behavior to blow-up. Almost every black criminal is tagged Nigerian. 2. Our role in African Integration: This is more important. Nigeria is instrumental in peacekeeping in Africa. We are the backbone of peacekeeping, at least some 15-20 years ago. Look at the role we played in curbing the issues in South Africa. Itis unfortunate that we do not have futuristic leaders, else Nigeria should run African businesses. just like the British colonized us and created businesses here that are still relevant after 60 years, we too should have created businesses in Ghana, Liberia, South Africa, kenya etc. These businesses would have given us a source of foreign exchange and more importantly, influence across the continent. I'll give you a short example of such influence, do you know that until recently, Nigerians ran the judiciary in the Gambia? Their Chief Judge office is reserved for Nigerians. Look at Ghana, Nigerian banks hold sway there. If we had foresight, we should have started doing what China is doing to Africa 40 years ago. So yes, we are losing our sit, but Nigeria is the giant of Africa, the sit has nothing to do with our development, economy or standard of living. Queenlovely: I made a statement once at a symposium that Nigeria was the giant of Africa and somebody challenged me at Kenyatta university.
He said south Africa was the giant of Africa and he went ahead to give me 30 reasons why.
But I could not give 3 reason why I was brainwashed into thinking nigeria was the center of the earth .

Totally agree. I was very annoyed with Rueben Abati, until I realised that uncle was just doing a damn good job. The job of the Presidential spokesperson is a terrible job. You need to say yes convincingly even when you know the answer is no and you are convinced it is no and you never believed it was yes. festacman: Many people emotionally are taking Femi Adesina's defence of President Buhari too much to heart.
The truth is that there is no other way to do the job of presidential spokesperson other than the way Femi is doing it, which is not different from how President Reuben Abati and Doyin Okupe defended Jonathan or how FFK and the same Doyin Okupe defended Obasanjo or even how Kayleigh McEnany stubbornly defended President Trump.
A presidential spokesperson is basically a believer in the person of the president. He is the president's defender-in-chief and attack dog depending on circumstances. |

It paints her less than she is worth. Yes, she is 66 and yes, she is a grandmother but that is not the reason she is getting the job. She is getting the job because she has a Phd in Economics, has been former MD of the World Bank, a 2-time minister of finance, and one-time minister of foreign affairs. She is currently working to get COVID-19 vaccines to Africa which will require a lot of negotiations which is a high point for the job she is about to start.
