If you already have a passport that has other overseas entries and exits, this sorta assures visa office that you will come go back home.
I've got relatives years ago who dressed America style going for visa interviews to study for a locally available degree . One look and fake tweng, visa denied.
If you were the only source of information, anyone would think obtaining a visa is as hard as a PhD.
A friend of mine told the interviewer he wanted international exposure for his undergrad Finance degree, the visa officer was impressed

The 'info tech' in nnpc simply means a person working in IT. At an entry level. That is support. System administration.

CCNA is what people try to use to get a leg into it entry level support roles. And it on its own is not a high value certification - more of something you get while on the path to the real deal - CCIE. Which is a hardcore expensive lab exam.

1.) He just got his CCNA
2.) Was then recruited by a US company
3.) Who gave him not only a VISA to US but also to Canada
4.) As well as not only paid him a comparable US salary ($80-100k)
5.) But then gave him a $80,000 Range Rover they had gassed, insured and delivered to him the minute he landed on a Sat. in Canada which he somehow just drove over the border to Seattle.

It's just so stupid and ridiculous a thing for anyone in the know to even voice.

I have a project management cert as well. In the UK, I worked in a web development firm. I move to Naija to work with Nnpc. I was in info tech department. Obtained my CCNA and moved to the US early 2023. The kind of programming involved in information tech, sys admin is mainly automation. Compared to what we were doing with ASP dot Net. What I have to learn to do system admin has no connection with programming. But they are all under the umbrella of computer science. A little bit of everything and it's up to you to pick your struggle.

This is why I'm convinced you run scams for a living.
Noone would continue this lie unless they had some financial investment in it.

I am currently studying Cybersecurity. Beginners level anyway, but what I read was quite chilling and is part of why I am currently studying it. I intend to merge it with law, so GRC (non-technical) and Information security (technical) are areas in Cybersecurity that I intend to specialize on in the coming years they are similar to Intellectual property Law which is an area of Law that I am interested in, it was an elective that I took in school and I have some certifications on it. What he did is part of data violation and privacy. That's scary and we need more regulatory laws in place. I hope in the future I am able to make a difference in that area.

I don't click on links on this forum. I am even skeptical about opening every thread that I see here. This is why. I don't even click on links that have been forwarded multiple times on WhatsApp etc.

Yeah, I use a VPN now, but he originally caught me before I thought to use one. Very careful of where I click and never suspected someone in this thread would do something like that.

But Cybersecurity/IP/Patent law is going to be huge. Esp. someone who really understands it from the technical perspective.

He claimed a US company recruited him from Naij, settled him in the US and bought him a Range Rover.
The story was suspicious as US companies don't routinely if ever buy employees cars like Naija companies do. Exp. not a Range. Esp. not for a H1-B employee.
The month prior he was saying on this thread, he would never live in the US. A month later, he claims in the US.
It got more suspicious, when he wouldn't say exactly where he was or post any details of the US.
And for someone who spends his life in the American tread it was weird he wouldn't discuss the US.
I doubted the story, but ey.

Then a few months later he got caught trying to hack Nairalanders ip addresses, my work one specifically.
He was posting links with an embedded ip tracker.
So, let's say I did my research.
Come to find out the pics he were posting were from Surrey Canada.
Once I knew that I geolocated them.
Even the pic he claimed was his first night in the US. If you look closely enough, there is a Surrey, Canada bus stop in the pic.

And then he started posting more stuff to try to back up his claim. But everything he posted made him more the Liar.
He posted the album of pics he said he took on his first day in the US. All the pics in it were from Canada.
He posted chats talking to women, where he would be the one to say he was in the US. Even in one of those chats he claimed he left Nigeria for the US in 2021 not 2023 like he claimed in this thread.
And so on and on.
He's a bad liar.

Another person would have died of embarrassment or just disappeared.
I realized scammers don't, they just push on.

I've long wondered why he would persistently lie about being in the US and tell his female friends the same (from the chats he posts).
I've always thought he was running some scam. This may be it.
And you are also right the more he posts trying to prove his lie, the more his lies unravel.
In this one chat he tells his friend he left Nigeria in 2021. Yet he posted a pic on this forum in May, 6th 2023, saying that was the day he arrived in the US or hist first day in the US.
That picture he said was of the US, was really of a motel in Canada.
