Some ignorant kids were saying nonsense about Asari when he said the military were working with oil bunkers. The naval officer rank escorting the ship is that of a commander. A Naval commander is like a Lt colonel in the army. |

I fully support these private refiners as they could sell fuel at a price Nigerians could afford. What an ignorant comment |

Acekidc4: Illegality or shady dealings are not good but Government can take over this Local Refineries and issue it out with Operational Licence to Potential certified Refiners. It will reduce reliance on foreign Refineries to refine our Crude Oil and Reduce unnecessary Expenses Do you have an idea how this local refineries look like? |

Politics › Re: Kaduna Is Muslims State, Elrufai Declares, CAN Trade War Of Words (pics) by Ikaeniyan0: 10:15pm On Aug 03, 2023 |
BeautyOfIslam: The Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has advised Governor Nasir El-Rufai to desist from making “reckless” statements that could further divide the residents along religious and ethnic lines. The Secretary of the CAN in Kaduna State, Rev. Sunday Ibrahim who spoke to journalists, noted that statistics had shown that Christians even have the higher population in the state by five percent.
He said: “It is very surprising to hear that coming from the Governor. What I know is that there are data that could be made available to whoever that cares to see.We are very surprised at the statement because the Christian and Muslim population is about 50/50. In fact, some data show that Christians are 55 percent and Muslim are 45 percent in terms of population.
“For the governor to say Muslims have 70 percent population of Kaduna State while Christians have 30 percent is shocking indeed. On what statistics did he base his submission? His handlers should have verified the claim and save him from the embarrassment he caused himself on a national television. We say NO to that very pronouncement; we don’t accept it to be true.
“His comment has the tendency of further dividing Kaduna along religious line; it could bring cause more problems.
“We urge Governor El-Rufai to henceforth try to verify issues that are very sensitive before voicing such out,” the CAN scribe said. Why are you posting a very old news? |

AlaafinOfOyo: Have the people say Africa is cursed with bad leaders. Will this Burkina Faso president be another Thomas Sankara, another tiny light for Africa? Let's hope they don't eliminate him since the world seems to prefer mediocre leaders for Africa. Is not by having resources alone. Soldiers have ruled in the past in Africa, they only made things worse. It was the military regime that lead Nigeria to a civil war that could have been avoided. The military is one of the Nigeria is the way it is. Look at how wealthy Danjuma, IBB, Absulsalam etc become just because they found themselves in the corridor of power. |
