A drama ensued at President Buhari's Owerri campaign as Governor Rochas Okorocha and Oshimhole attacked each other when given a chance to speak at the campaign.

When given a chance to speak, Rochas Okorocha went off on rant and called out the APC currently led by Adams Oshiomhole. He slammed the APC Governorship candidate in the state, Hope Uzodimma, the Police, the DSS, Adams Oshiomole, APC NWC and everyone in support of his travails.

However Adams Oshiomhole who fired back at Rochas Okorocha on same stage, stated that the APC is not in alliance with any other party in Imo State.  Hope Uzodimma, the gubernatorial candidate also mounted the podium and started by apologizing for the impasse in the party's affairs in Imo, before slamming Rochas as well.

However President Buhari who waded in to calm the warring sides, told people in Owerri to vote across party, religious and tribal lines. He then proceeded to raise Hope Uzodima's hand saying "I'm only raising his hand because he is APC" immediately after he rose Rochas' hand as well.

A 19-year-old girl identified as Eseosa Odemwingie, reportedly committed suicide on Monday over an undisclosed incident. 

Twitter user @ms_chic who is also the sister of the 19-year-old girl who committed suicide, disclosed that she was laid to rest today. She wrote;

Fuse ODG, the UK-Based Ghanaian singer who gave hits like 'Azonto and million pound girl' in the past, in a new interview stated that bleaching is not a standard for beauty.

Fuse ODG who told Africans to stay true to themselves and choose themselves, their culture and art over bleaching, added that we have have been brainwashed to believe that bleaching is what beauty is about.

President Buhari who campaigned in Kebbi State today ahead of the 2019 election, disclosed that Borno residents confirmed that Boko Haram have been fully decimated during his campaign in the state days ago. 

Buhari who urged the people not to relent in farming, also said his government had subsidised fertilisers to the country’s teeming farmers, thereby resulting in bumper agricultural harvest in the country.

Twitterverse went into a tizzy late on Tuesday when the popular messaging application WhatsApp broke down, much to the dismay of users worldwide.

Many of the over 1.5 billion users, both on Android and iOS, were unable to log into their app on Tuesday, according to news agency ANI. The reason behind the snag is yet to be announced by the company.

Moreover, the outage comes just a few hours after the messenger announced that it would be curbing the number of forwards for users

Somehow, the crash didn't affect Nigerian users and many people are taking to Twitter to share hilarious memes and tweets about it.

The last time the shutdown happened was in November 2018.

A 65-year-old widow identified as Fatima Nyande, reportedly lost her life savings to termites after hiding her money under firewood.  Fatima who buried her life savings of Gh¢2,000 (N147,000) in a hole under some firewood in her compound at Kpasa in the Nkwanta North district of the Volta Region, Ghana, said it was all because she never trusted banks. 

The widow who lost her  life savings to termites after hiding money under firewood, recounted an experience with one financial company made away with her Gh¢4,000.
“I STARTED SAVING THE MONEY IN THE DUG HOLE AT HOME AFTER DUBIOUS FINANCIAL COMPANIES ABSCONDED WITH MY GH¢4,000.00,” SHE SAID. 

Nursing her loss, she urged the public to save in banks, so as not to repeat the same mistake she committed.

A Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) which sat today in Abuja, has given a positive nod on the stand-down to rule on motion to stop the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN's trial brought to the court by the Nigerian government. 

On deciding if it would okay indefinite adjournment of the criminal charge the Federal Government entered against the CJN, the Justice Danladi Umar’s led three-member tribunal said it will reconvene by 1:30pm to relay their decision. 

This came after the lead counsel to the CJN, Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, drew attention of the tribunal to two different high court orders, as well as an order of the National Industrial Court, stopping trial of the CJN pending determination of the cases.

Though the lead counsel for the Nigerian government who disclosed that they deliberately refrained from applying for a bench warrant to be issued against the CJN for failing to appear for his scheduled arraignment, opposed the application of the stand-down motion, it left the issue at the discretion of the tribunal.

Leon Balogun, a German-born Super Eagles in a new interview revealed that playing for Nigeria has taught him that God and religion are two critical components of life in the country.

Leon Balogun who recounted how Super Eagles players will sing religious songs while preparing for matches, admitted that he enjoys it a lot. The Super Eagles defender however added that most times he cannot participate, because that isn't the way he was brought up.

According to him in Europe, before matches players don't care about about prayers as they are always on their seats, listening to music with their headset and sometimes texting their families. The Brighton & Hove Albion player further disclosed in the interview with Sports Analyst, Oma Akatugba, that he sometimes miss the way he goes to matches with other Nigerian players as it brings a special type of bond.

Ex-boyfriend of controversial Ghanaian media personality, Afia Schwarznegger, has disclosed that he never wanted to sleep with her. The ex-boyfriend identified as Prince William Darlington, who made some wild allegation in a new interview after their sour breakup last year December, disclosed that throughout their dating period, he never wanted to sleep with Afia Schwarznegger, but upon many harassment and pleas from her, he finally gave in.

A textbook has gone viral on social media, for teaching kids what has been interpreted as the ill side of 'gender roles'.  The textbook which relayed examples of gender roles assigned to both men and women, stated that husband should earn money and the wife should look after the children, serve, do the dishes, ensure the house is clean, ensure the kids are well behaved and also make sure that members of the nuclear and extended family are happy.

A Ghanaian woman identified as Emmanuella Osei, has been arrested after she abandoned her baby in a toilet in United States.  The 23-year-old Ghanaian lady who has now been charged with felony and endangering the welfare of a child regarding the incident that happened on Monday, January 14, 2019, reportedly works for Greater Hearts Human Services as a care assistant and was working at a unit in an apartment complex when the incident happened. 
The suspect who allegedly called her supervisor multiple times to say she felt ill,  asked for someone to relieve her because she could not leave the patients alone. She also asked her supervisor to call 911, and it was gathered that a responding officer found her in the bathroom with the door partially open.

A large amount of blood and what appeared to be an umbilical cord were on the floor. After she was pulled out of the toilet, the baby was found and investigators believe he was in the toilet water for 10-15 minutes. He was cold, blue, unresponsive and a CPR had to performed on him.  While the extent of his injury is not known, sources said he is in a stable condition and placed in a ventilator.
