South Africa’s minister of defence, Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula, has said the xenophobic attacks on foreigners in the country cannot be stopped.

The minister said South Africa is “an angry nation” and the attacks of foreigners in the country are orchestrated by criminal elements.

In an interview with eNCA, a South African media outfit, Mapisa-Nqakula described what is happening as an attempt by criminals to take advantage of the country’s current challenges.

She said:

“People are saying it is xenophobic attacks (but) it is not the first time we have had them in the past. Here, we have criminals that have read the situation and are aware that we have challenges right now.

“We have talked on the issues of high rate of unemployment, of some foreign nationals who are not conducting themselves in an appropriate manner as we would expect, those breaking the bylaws of the country, and you now have criminal elements who have decided that we are going to use all of those things to find reasons to attack people. It is unfortunate and should not happen.

“The reality is that we need to have a serious dialogue about what is happening, we must take responsibility. The reality is that we are an angry nation and we must talk about it.

“Why are we an angry nation? Why are we so determined to collapse our project of nation building and social cohesion? We need to hold hands together between government and all state entities and the civil society and find solutions to what is happening.”

“People are saying some heads of state decided not to attend WEF; we should be talking about why this whole thing is coinciding with the World Economic Forum,” Mapisa-Nqakula said.

“We should talk about this which clearly is well orchestrated by criminal elements. Nothing political whatsoever.”

Three students of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos have been arrested and arraigned before an Ikeja magistrate court for gang raping a 15-year-old girl who was on her period on Saturday June 29, 2019.

The teenager was visiting the school when she was dragged into the Students Union Government treasurer’s office by one Ayo Segun who is still on the run. It was learnt that the FCET’s SUG treasurer, Mudi Phillip was present when the girl was raped in his office by Oluwabanwo Kolawole and Chibuzo Ezegbue who he was arrested with.

“Segun, Kolawole and Ezegbue took me inside Philip’s office at the SUG building and said they would protect me and use me as their queen if I agreed to have s-x with them.

Philip was there pressing his phone when I started arguing with them, but when Segun realised that I was shouting, he ordered the rest of the guys out and told me that he would kill me if I refused to have s-x with him. I told him I was menstruating, but he never cared and he forcefully had s-x with me.

“I thought it was over, but the others came in one after the other to have s-x with me. When I tried to stop them, they threatened me. Ezegbue had s-x with me but when it was Kolawole’s turn, he saw blood around my private parts and knew I was tired, so he told me to give him oral s-x, which I did.

When it was Philip’s turn, I pleaded with him and he said he wasn’t there to have s-x with me, but said that I should lie to the others that he had s-x with me if they asked,” the girl said while recalling how the sad incident occurred.

The Lagos state Police spokesperson, Bala Elkana told newsmen that Phillip was released by the court while the two other suspects were remanded in Ikoyi prison.

“We have arrested the suspects involved in the case of the 15-year-old girl, who was defiled by four boys at the FCE (T), Akoka. Two of the suspects, Ezegbue Chibuzo and Oluwabanwo Kolawole, have been charged and are currently remanded in prison custody” he said.

A notorious robbery gang was arrested today by Lagos state Police Rapid Response Unit after they snatched a woman’s handbag.

The funny part of the story was when they got to the police station and finally opened the bag there was no single valuable inside it.

It was obvious the victim had just gone to buy food as It was only okro soup and fufu that was found inside The Bag.

The Delta state police command has arrested a member of an armed robbery syndicate after he was overpowered by a brave woman during a foiled robbery operation.

Narrating the incidence, an eye witness shared that the robbers had trailed the woman to her house after the closing of business with huge cash.

“Two members of the gang stationed themselves outside the house while three others took positions in the compound”,

“The robbers swooped on the trader who was in the company of her husband and children, snatching from her two bags containing large quantities of mobile phone recharge cards and more than N1.8 million.

An armed man has been shot dead by police after he hijacked a bus and took 37 passengers hostage in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The masked man, believed to have petrol with him was threatening to burn the bus from the inside after he hijacked it on the Rio–Niterói Bridge in the Brazilian city.

Local media reports that police surrounded the vehicle and tried to negotiate with the hijacker.
Brazilian security forces shot the hijacker dead, bringing the incident to a close.

None of the hostages was harmed during the four-hour hijacking, Rio de Janeiro Governor Wilson Witschel told reporters at the scene.

He took to Twitter to congratulate the police for an “exemplary performance” but said he regretted the death of the hijacker.

A passenger claimed the hijacker had been armed with a pistol and a knife, and never explained the reasons for his actions. Police told reporters the incident appeared to be “premeditated”.

The incident began at 5.30am local time, reports say. The bridge is currently closed in both directions.

Earlier, while the hijacker still held the passengers hostage, Sheila Sena of the Federal Highway Police told globo.com: “We have a man who has identified himself as a military policeman. He is threatening to throw gas on the bus, putting passengers in danger.

“We are in negotiations with him to release more hostages, we do not know what his real purpose is.”

The bridge that connects state capital Rio with the city of Niteroi across the bay is a major commuter thoroughfare, and the hijacking during the morning rush hour caused massive traffic jams on the bridge.

An Egyptian girl has killed her five-year-old sister in their home village in the Nile Delta allegedly out of jealousy, Egyptian media reported on Monday.

Locals in the village of Abu Ashri in the province of Dakahlia, about 110 kilometres north of Cairo, reported to police that they found the body of a child identified as Jana Adel who had earlier gone missing.

Her father told police he had left the little child with her elder sister Dunia at home.
Police investigations revealed that Dunia, 14, committed the crime.

The eighth grader admitted to having killed the child, using a kitchen knife, claiming that her father preferred Jana over her.

“I killed her because my father loved her more than me,” the girl told police, according to private newspaper Al Masry Al Youm.

Dunia told police she later disposed of her sister’s body in an abandoned shack in the village.

The teenager led police to the knife she said she had used in the crime.

The case has been referred to a local prosecutor for further investigation.

Medical conditions that can affect the body’s taste receptors include:respiratory infections, middle ear infections, dental health problems, infections in the mouth or gums, recent surgery on the mouth, nose, or face, head or spinal cord injuries, some medical treatments, including radiation therapy for cancer and some antibiotics, exposure to chemicals, such as certain pesticides

While semen is usually white or gray, it may appear to be a different colour in certain instances.

Is swallowing semen safe?

The ingredients in semen are harmless.
Very rarely, a person may be allergic to the proteins in semen and have an allergic reaction. Doctors call this seminal plasma hypersensitivity.

An Indian woman filed a complaint in court after her husband addicted to gambling and alcohol bet her after running out of money and allowed his friends to gang-rape her upon losing.

The woman said her husband and his follow gamblers gang raped her a second time even after he apologised the first time.

According to the report, the incident took place in Jaunpur district and the police refused to take action on her complaint which prompted her to go to court.

After a court order, an FIR was then registered in Jaffarabad police station in Jaunpur district.
The victim’s husband was said to have allowed his friend Arun and relative Anil who often used to visit their house for drinking and gambling, to gang rape her after losing a bet.

The incident was said to have happened on a day in July, after which the victim went to her maternal uncle’s house but he followed her there, begging for forgiveness.

She said she forgave him and went back with him in his car but on their way, her husband stopped the car and allowed his friends to gang rape her a second time.

Police were said to have ignored the complaint which prompted the victim to go the court, where the court ordered police to register a case of gang rape.

This comes days after the pair obtained a marriage license at Beverly Hills Courthouse.

The publication further claims that the couple could already be married or tying the knot this weekend after ‘several of her close friends’ flew into LA on Tuesday.

Witnesses say they saw Nicki and Petty at the marriage license bureau window.

The author of several award winning novels, wrote: “Oka na ube. In my ancestral hometown, Abba, Anambra State, repository of so many happy memories”.

But many other commenters simply saw in her action, how deeply connected she remains to her roots, despite being a famous face on the global stage.
