RomanceHe Bought This Dangerous Item From Me And See What I Did With The Money [Picture by iLegendd(op):
I do this regularly and it has been a blessing. I never wanted to talk about it, but felt I should at least say it today and only today

When someone buys a book from me, I usually convert the money to Dollar and use it in one of my exchanges to setup a trade and forget about it. Months later, the small money may have metamorphosed to something big or has turned to zero — which I don't really care the direction it takes.

What I'm trying to say is, invest even the smallest. E get why. Ordinary 20k, I still invested it. Cultivate a mindset of investment with whatever you have. Don't wait until it's big before you invest. Make it a habit or an addiction to invest.

It's sad most people are struggling to feed let alone have extra to invest, so I can understand you, but please, try and invest even if it's too small. One day, it won't be too small. Buying Bitcoin of $14 in 2013 could've changed anyone's life today, so my dear, learn about crypto and come up with a strategy. You'll never regret it.

Learn forex or crypto or invest it in agriculture, at least.

I converted the 20k and it gave me about $14. I sent it to an exchange and longed a promising coin called Brett. My liquidation is 0.023. Why? I want the coin to crash to that extent so I can buy with my main account.

This particular account is just a trap for the coin to crash, but in most cases, this trap keeps pumping.

You'll be shocked this 20k Naira will one day turn to $20k.

I have set alert and I'm going to forget about this account.

I have never had any IP issue using any crypto exchange app or on browser.

But the reality is that crypto doesn't even need exchanges.

Your words are wise and eye-opening, but attaining the level where you don't get swayed by money doesn't come easy for a lot of us, not to belittle the fact in your stance because I believe it works to a great extent, but I would rather embrace a more disciplined approach to money management to build up some funds as a cushion to rely on when taking risks and applying patience becomes paramount. Most in this game are in it to cure hunger first, before poverty. Nice words once again and thanks for the enlightenment.
You have a valid point. The unfortunate thing is, until we outgrow the "profit and eat it to survive" stage, it's hard to succeed in this business or any other business in life. Also, trading with what you can lose is always the mantra.

Told to invest it.

InvestmentCRYPTO: Turning $3 to $3000. This Happened [Picture] by iLegendd(op):
On the 30th of November, 2023, I opened Nairaland and a lady wanted to sell $3 on her Mexc account to use the money for something important, but the P2P there only allows 3 currencies, VND, RUB, and KRW.

At the time, $1 was ₦1130.

If she's to sell it, it will give her ₦3,390.

Someone offered to buy it from her for N1500 and she was willing to sell, but I decided to interfere in the transaction even though I wasn't interested in the initially. I just felt she's being cheated, so I decided to offer her 2500 and she agreed.

At zero transaction fee, she sent it from her Mexc to mine.

I sent her the 2500. Honestly, I wanted to send her 10k because I noticed she was at her lowest at that moment, but a spirit said, "Since she be woman, you wan overdo now, abi? What if she's among those people that voted for APC? Just send her what you agreed on because women mostly see men that send them extra money as mugu or someone who wants something from them. They easily forget kindness and may even use it against you. They won't know it's just you being kind and nothing more."

So, with this mental sermon, I deleted the 10,000 I typed and sent her the 2500 we agreed on.

I told her I'm going to turn that $3 to $3000 and write a book about it.

On Mexc and within a few days, I turned the $3 to a little above $10 and sent the money to another exchange I hardly open since I trade with lots of exchanges and I use some the most.

Unfortunately, I lost about 80% of the $10+ and was left with about $1.88 or $2.

I felt like I lost the battle, so I abandoned the money. On the 6th of March, 2024, I checked that exchange for no reason and noticed Uniswap had pumped to $17, so I shorted it at x50 leverage with the less than $2 left and my liquidation was at 17.424. I did this after analysing the chart, not just blindly.

After this purchase, I closed the app without putting a stop loss because there is nothing there to lose.

Today, being the 26th of March, 2024, I remembered the exchange and logged in and realized the less than $2 had turned to $100, because Uniswap scrashed from $17 to $10.

Unfortunately, the short $Uni position had started going up again from $10 to $12.8 at the time of writing this and it has already lost -$24 from the $100. That means I was left with $76.

If only I opened the app the day it was at $10. Anyway, 2,000 Naira, $2, to 76,000 Naira, $76, is not a bad 20-day investment with zero emotions attached.

In summary, the less emotionally attached you are to material things, especially money, the faster you get it and the more peace of mind you'll have even when you lose it because it's not your main source of joy.

Your main source of joy is being alive. There are some classmates, rich neighbors, colleagues, family members, etc. you had that were better than you in height, looks, brain, finance, wisdom, faith, spirituality, etc. that are no longer alive, but here you are breathing.

So, be emotionally detached from money and you'll get it faster.

There is a guy I like called VeryDarkMan. This guy posts online and condemns bad things people are doing or posting and he doesn't accept advertisement.

Guess what? Since he has grown his audience, people are begging him with millions to do ads for them. People are offering him X10 of what they offer other celebrities, but he keeps declining.

They hate him for this and they also hate him for being blunt and honest. The truth hurts and people will alway call you a talkative for always saying it.

Does it mean he doesn't like money? He does, but he's so emotionally detached from money and now money is chasing him. Oh, his enemies are also chasing him. The people that got hurt by his truth.

The message there is, know the value of money, but don't place so much value in it even though you know it's invaluable.

You're just too emotionally detached to notice it the way other people do and this will help you a lot in life when you lose everything you've ever laboured for.

No matter how Godly you are, challenges must come and this mindset is what you need way more than prayer itself. What is prayer when you're  too emotional to material things?

Most Nigerians don't have this mindset, hence we're always desperate to make money.

Even if s country says, "Don't bring drugs into our country, else, death penalty." A Nigerian will still take drugs to that country because he's so emotionally attached to money and wants to make it fast.

Yes, making it involves risks, but this na ked electric bulb you're touching is too risky.

So, success is all about your brain, your strategy, calculated risks, patience, and a bit of luck.

Only a few people can achieve success with only luck.

Only a few people can achieve success with only risk.

Only a few people can achieve success with only patience.

But everybody can achieve success with brain, strategy, calculated risks, patience, and a bit of luck.

In this trade, what helped me was strategy, calculated risk (emotionally detached, which led to being patient), and luck.

Now it has reached 70-100 Dollars, most people will lose everything. Only patience and strategy can make you double it. Rinse and repeat.

After she had already sold the $3 to me, someone quoted her and said she should invest and forget about it, but it was already late.

Moral lesson

Investment is the only thing that'll change your financial status legitimately, but hunger always make us eat what we're supposed to invest and this keeps us in poverty for a very long time until the day we overcome this rat race either by "plan" or by "grace of luck."

Never give up, but stay emotionally detached from materials things (money), even though it's necessary.
Control your emotions when money is involved. Our coffins won't be stacked with money when we depart. If in doubt, call Herbert Wigwe, late Access Bank CEO on 07030000000 and ask him.

Funnily, smart people will use this opportunity to convert more Naira to Dollar because they know the highest it will take is 5-10 years and we'll be in another crisis.

RomanceRe: I Sent Her Out Of My House Late In The Night: Did I Do The Right Thing? by iLegendd(m):
No matter how good you've been to her, everybody is going to abuse you. The reason is not because you sent her home, but you did it at the wrong time.

When you invite a woman or even a male friend, always pay their TP for inconveniences. The guy will reject it, but the girl mostly won't.

If any of these people want to see you, then they have to pay for their TP to come visit you. If you're inviting them for something that'll only benefit them, not two of you, they have to pay the TP.

In this case, you didn't invite her for something that'll only benefit ONLY her, but ONLY you. She's not getting any benefit from the cuddle, but you'll get since it will relief you of stress.

Las las, it's sex you want, but you don't want to look like a bad person because you've probably bragged about not being like other men who love sex, sleep around, and hurt women.

You wanted to be unique and different from other men, but ended up being friendzoned and she now sees you as a big brother. No emotional attachment from her end.

Sorry for asking but what do you do with your pond?

Do you bail and eat the fish or sell them?
It's been more than 15 years I entered bush. I really miss it. Other people will harvest it behind your back, but everyone knows the owner of every pond. Most people have ran to the city during Rivers cult crisis, so homebase players will have no choice than to enjoy them till the owners come back.

Our culture is not about making money, but happiness and producing your own natural food.

We farm for home consumption only. Though, you can sell if your produce is more than you can consume.

All crypto companies have a DARKER side to them. I'm starting to think it comes with the territory.

Few of them can stand up to a close scrutiny. The moment standardized regulations are implemented for the crypto market, a lot of them would crumble.

Lots of them are run by criminals or cater to criminals. First, it was FTX who embezzled people's money. Then Binance was fined OVER $4B for money laundering. Now rather than comply with simple government policies, OKX chose to withdraw from India.

If you make money and your processes are above board, why would you RUN from government scrutiny?
Since a lot are run by criminals, it will be nice to hand over your company's secrets to the government, which is run my good men and that's why these good men have made their countries better than Heaven. cry

They job of the government is to keep you poor via exorbitant tax and the poorer you are, the easily they can control you.

BRATISLAVA:
Interesting.

That should explain why there are only catfish. But how do you guys mark out your ponds? Do you dig out places and cement the interior, then wait for the rivers to fill them up?

Does one family own all those fish in a pile?
In most cases, one large family usually owns it. Other large families own theirs too. In few cases, it's the general one.

No, there is no cementing. The place has two to three different types of clay soil (red, milky, and one other one). The type used for building ceramic items.

Those types of soils are more water resistant than cement. Digging your own pond is not easy because of that soil, but our forefathers dug them anyways. Those men are strong.

Marking your pond? They're just like women. Every man can identify their wives or girlfriends in a crowd of 1 million women.

There are actually 10-20 other kinds of fish there (electric fish, tilapia, crab, etc.) but they mostly put them in buckets and that's the ones they cook to eat before they go home.

Also, they mostly do the sharing in the bush there 90% of the time. They'll probably close at 11 PM. If you're married and in the city, you'll send someone to go take yours and dry it for you, package it, and send to the city or you just tell them to have it for themselves.

If you're so broke, you tell them to sell it and send you the money.

I hope this helps. I have given you more answer than you requested.

FoodRe: Massive Fish Caught In Idu, ONELGA, Rivers State During Fishing Festival by iLegendd(m):
Here is my real life story and everything you need to know about the fish.

The place the fish was caught is an oi-rich community that hosts different companies like AGIP and others. It's a 6-minute drive from my town, which is another oil-rich community.

This is how the pond works. Every community close to rivers in the Niger Delta has it. We have Orashi River with different kinds of fish every year.

Everyone in every community has a personal pond or inherited one. I have mine too. You can never touch another person's pond. If you dare and and you get caught, you'll be disgraced by the youth and you'll pay fine with yam, goat or fowl with some communities work.

Someone told me to accompany him to go bail his father's pond. When got there, he saw a small pond making lots of noise and when he checked, it had LOTS of giant fish.

We embarked on bailing it sharp sharp, but unfortunately, the owner caught us an hour later—come see temple run. It looks like he monitors it everyday.

Luckily for me and my friend, instead of reporting, he only took our bucket and boxers.

We carry nakēdness go back house for night. We had to wait until midnight before using cocoyam leaf to cover our nàkedness. Peer pressure been wan kill me those teenage years.

The funny part was the constant light in the community, all thanks to those oil companies. We were praying for darkness, for the light to go, but no way. To thief no good o. cheesy cheesy

Also, some extended families, which usually start with the prefix "umu" + whatever name they bear will also have a big family pond. It doesn't end there.

The entire community will also have. But, these family ponds and community ponds always have voodoo by the side.

Whether you believe in juju or not, don't EVER fish there, else, rest in peace. They put lots of hollow woods inside the pond to get an enclave so that the fish will see it as their home and won't leave that vicinity.

Two to five years later, some communities even leave theirs for 10 years, they harvest it together, but it's only shared by married men in the family and the unmarried ones who came to help them bail the pond.

How does fish enter?

In raining reason, water flows from Orashi River to those ponds with different kinds of fish. Unfortunately, catfish and West African lungfish (which loves mud), see image below, eat most of the other species of fish that followed them to the pond.

This doesn't mean there aren't other kinds of fish, but only the strong ones from those species survive the torturous 2-10 years battle.

Do the community people feed them?

No, nobody feeds them, except you want to go watch fish, then go with your bread. They feed on frogs, their SIMP siblings and other weak species that couldn't stand the heat, especially those transgender and gay fish in the pond that act so fragile and girly. It's like a prison. If you don't man up, you go down as feed for the alphas.

For the private or inherited ponds, you can bail it yourself with your pumping machine or bucket every dry season. No rules—it's yours.

Talking about the man that took our bucket and boxers, after I arriveed at night, 9PM, my family was already looking for me.

I sneaked into the bathroom and luckily there was a towel, but my mom still caught me at last and started querying me of my whereabout and asking of her iron pocket.

In the end, I confessed and told her who come convinced and how the man seized our buckets and clothes.

Long story short, After two days, she successfully got them back from the man (older than my parents) with lots of apologies while on her knees.

She later told me when I'm going to school, I should top in the man's house to tell him sorry for what happened.

That man was among the top 10 most wicked men in the community—he has never smiled ever since I knew him and he never looks for trouble either, but if you enter his trap, you're on your own. I didn't know it was his pond, else I wouldn't dare no matter how my guy would've persuaded me.

I was even thinking he'll use juju to kill us, but praise God, I'm alive today. grin Passing his house every day to school was one of the most difficult thing I did in my life. It's the main road I take everyday, so I had to change to a longer road. Criminals don't have peace of mind. cheesy

He had some beautiful children and they were my junior in school. I always pray for their father not to tell them the story before they'll cast it in school and everybody will start making fun of me. cheesy

Moral lesson:

Chai! Stealing is not good. People should desist from taking what isn't theirs—the trauma when you get caught is too much. I have learned a lot as a kid and that's why other people's things don't move me, except the thing is a woman I like but I don't know who her unserious boyfriend is. Anything apart from that, I can't steal it.

Oh, don't forget, this native dish is WAY sweeter and more expensive then the agric one trains in ponds and fed with feeds.

The end...

Oh,

One last thing, even though oil and gas leave our community every single minute, we still refill our gas cylinder at the highest price in the whole of Nigeria and the fish are also more expensive to buy here, than when taken to other states. So, it's better to go to the bush to get fish yourself than to buy from anyone here.

I known no whether them curse us for this Niger Delta. Na we dey produce, Na we still dey suffer am pass. Most of the tombo and alcohol in Nigeria are produced in the Niger Delta. Na only this one cheap for here so that we go drink and forget that we're being marginalized. This is why the region that marginalized us love calling us alcoholic.

They even called our former governor, Wiké King of Kaikai. cheesy

But true true, Wiké dey drink o. Him suppose come from Bayelsa. We Rivers people don't drink much.

You people ask lots of unnecessary questions that you already know the answer.

If you were raised by a single mom and she used to sleep around and bring different men into the house and sometimes, you hear her moaning, then fine — bring any type of girl and she'll accept her because there is no difference between her and the woman.

If you were raised right in a good family that upholds moral values, then you don't need to ask this kind of question — which you already know the answer.
