abduleez1: I'm still struggling to understand how The Batman was totally snubbed for Best Score. 😰😱 Like WTF did it miss that.
The Banshees of Inisherin over The Batman?? Bruh... Awards bodies are just trying their best to nominate the film for every category and up it's win as possible.
Like it still buggles me,it should be in best cinematography
abduleez1: Oscars sha finding a way to creep in Top Gun just cos of Tom Cruise. 😂😂 E sure me die say if no be am, that film no go smell this thing. Prolly similar favouritism I'm seeing with Tar but that one still holds up and can defend its quality.
Prolly tactics to garner more viewership and audience interest back at the awards nominating hugely popular movies and blockbuster monsters in Maverick and Way of The Water, as well as top directors and loved actors. I sha hope, Maverick receives NADA!!
Anyways, I try this year small sha. At least I'd say I'm 70-80% caught up on the Awards movies. Or at least have the rest on watchlist or downloaded. 🤨😎 Last year worse for me... 😰😢
abduleez1: Lol, it's not my favourite horror movie.
It's a very weird movie like Aflix said and I don't see it as everyone's cup of tea. It's definitely gonna turn off most especially people who ain't familiar with that sort of trope and theme. It's one of the weirdest horror films I've ever watched. When I was done watching it sef I was like what the fvvk did I watch. 😃 But the writing, directing and the acting most especially as well as the story as it's very different sets it apart from the rest. It's also prolly the movie that brought Florence Pugh to the limelight. Since it's from A24, there's a huge possibility of being mindfvvked. 😁😀 The weirdness of the film and why it's a townhall different from Bulaba is why it's mostly in top recommendations.
I wouldn't really recommend to anyone who isn't deep into horror movies and arthouse flicks.
Did you enjoy Hereditary? I can't wait to be mindfvvked with Aster's next movie Beau is something 😂🌚
A very weird movie that I think its primary aim is showing a culture of the Swedish people. It does this pretty well (don’t know if the depictions are accurate) without following it up with a compelling story to balance things. The movie gives a sense of something better to come, so you hang on, expectantly only to end up disappointed at the end.
Everything about this movie is weird and I wouldn’t recommend it. The sex scene is something I have never seen. I have not been able to phantom it till today.
I wouldn’t advise anyone to go watch.
That's your point of view tho,if you don't like hereditary, you won't enjoy this movie. But I absolutely enjoyed watching the movie, its idea of horror was enthralling and I was hooked from beginning to end. You won't enjoy it because you may not understand its concept and style. Weird is not bad but original Midsommar is a 9/10 for me. Cant wait for the next Ari Aster movie Beau something
a4turitoroman: The funny thing about the Last of us, Is that those of us who have played the part 1&2 game already know what will happen next in the film
I'm glad I haven't played the game tho so it will be fresh in our minds
Baddestguyp: lmao... I don't fall for those kinda bait ...
When they say a series is so good just cos critics hype it... But then nobody can tell you what is special about it... People just rate it because critics rate it
Same reason why I haven't watched The Wire... I've not seen a single review telling me what makes it one of the best...
It is just the usual "critically acclaimed"... "Critically rated to be one of the best" bla bla bla
Bro you're definitely right, critics and rotten tomatoes made me watch some films I regret downloading. Nowadays I just go for audience scores on rotten tomatoes instead of critics
Omo don't compare o, I loved these episode, it's very different when it comes to story. If you've played the game before like I did, you're in for a treat
The writing was off, but the characters did an amazing job. The ending sequences were bad and I didn't enjoy the fight scenes at all and the score at the background for the fight scenes was bad What carried the movie is the nude scenes and the quality of the actors, actresses and cinematography. For a Nollywood series, it's a nice series 🙂
Nairaland has been my home for years, and I have met a lot of interesting people from this website. Most people have even gotten married because of this God-given website But there are some things Nairaland are lagging behind when it comes to communication. What I would love for Nairaland to do this year is creating a way for someone to communicate directly to another user privately without having to go through email What would you love to be improved or worked upon this year?
Flamemignon1: You obviously don't know what you are saying, it's getting to 1.9B on an almost 500mil budget so please get your facts right
Moreover, you don't have to push one down to uplift another,James isn't known for his stories as they don't quite require critical thinking, his stories are somewhat simple for people to relate to, he's rather known for visuals,Nolan on the other hand is known for his stories and how much depth they possess , there's room for both to thrive in Hollywood
Like how will someone a story from Nolan to Cameron. Cameron makes stories that can be understood by almost everyone and those kind of movies make a lot of money. Nolan makes critical thinking movies like Tenet and Inception and Memento, Cameron makes movies everyone can understand easily like Titanic, Avatar, Terminator and the rest
albanikeh001: Movie wasn't bad. Will easily give it 7 over 10. However, it should be noted that it did badly at box office grossing. What I don't get is why they had to wait that long to do a part 2
Lest I forget, for those of you thinking this movie is the best stuff after slice bread, kindly devote time to watch INTERSTELLAR by Christopher Nolan.
You're just spilling cap, are you saying the highest grossing movie of 2022 did badly in the box office with 1.75 billion dollars and counting... And Interstellar was good but not better than Avatar, please rest
Baddestguyp: Funny how the trailer spoilt the entire plot of the movie. Now we literally know almost everything that happens. Only thing we probably don't know is if Ant-Man will die or not
I don't care about Ant-Man but will watch this... hopefully to watch him die and the villain looks kinda interesting
Avatar- the Way of Water 9/10. You won't even realize you're watching computer generated folks. Just like every JC movie, visual effects was a masterpiece, simple story, great story line and amazing ending
Ishilove: Let's all step back and inbreathiate the moment
Likeeeee... I wished the movie had stayed on cinemas for a while, it would have made a lot of money. I had to watch it three times before I could get more references and clues. After the third time, I felt stupid
It has 2gb dedicated graphics card Radeon RX 500 series Features: 8gb ram 512gb SSD 6 hours battery backup NFC Face Finger print FHD display And many more amazing features Price: 320k (negotiable)
oyaskii: Dave Bautista has been in more Projects than John Cena overall...i remember him in "Smallville" way back in 2006.
Except you are comparing John Cena and Edge in this context.
I seriously can't believe people are comparing Bautista with Cena. Cena mostly plays comedy and dumb shit movies sometimes. Bautista played a blind dude in See fr crying out loud plus his other critically acclaimed movies
Every episode is insane. Apart from stranger things, the boys has absolutely killed it for me every season. The way people burst in this film is strangely hilarious to me
