2 Peter 3:15-18
15And consider the patience of our Lord [His delay in judging and avenging wrongs] as salvation [that is, allowing time for more to be saved]; just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given to him [by God],
16speaking about these things as he does in all of his letters. In which there are some things that are difficult to understand, which the untaught and unstable [who have fallen into error] twist and misinterpret, just as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction.
17Therefore, [let me warn you] beloved, knowing these things beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men [who distort doctrine] and fall from your own steadfastness [of mind, knowledge, truth, and faith],
18but grow [spiritually mature] in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory (honor, majesty, splendor), both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Peter never actually bore witness to a particular one of the many statements made in Paul's his epistles. Peter never infact mentioned a particular letter or writing so to assert that Peter agreed with all suggested in Paul's various epistles requires a tremendous leap in judgment. undecided

Above all, the law regarding agreements on truths as given by Jesus Christ stipulates that at least 2 or fhree witnesses have to agree on particular thing/issue/truth for it to be considered of Jesus Christ I.e. Jesus Christ be in their midst. However, with Peter never in fact mentioning any one thing/issue/truth stated by Paul, he fails as a witness standing with Paul. undecided

2Pe 3:16 KJV As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

For some reason, people believe and preach that Peter himself did not understand some of the teachings of Paul, quoting this passage. Their end game is usually to discredit part of the epistles as not for the church. How odd and gbajuelistic in outcome!
Anyway, the clear point is that Apostle Peter never said that he doesn't know or understand what Paul taught or wrote about. What he clearly said was that there were some things there that were hard to be understood. Paul himself, who is usually pointed as the writer of Hebrews talked about strong meat. That a topic is hard or strong doesn't necessarily mean that one doesn't understand it. It is simply tougher than other milk like subjects or topics.

Soludo is not doing poorly BTW. But it's better that you WORK hard for your money, than all these eye-service Obilike quotes. The labourer is worthy of his wages, so says the good book. Better to take that salary and put it to clearly seen good use, since you obviously don't need it. Than leave it for someone else to steal and still do nothing tangible.

This is what I hate reading or hearing. If there is any candidate that rode on the lens of religiosity and ethnic biases, is no other person or party than Tinubu and APC. The same was confessed by El-rufai after election, the video is everywhere on the net how he gathered Islamic clerics in Kaduna and thanking them the role they played during the election to making muslim-muslim ticket worked. Or wasn't no the same APC that gathered Islamic clerics together in Kano to declared Tinubu's and Shettima's ticket jihad? Everything still on record. The same APC that said, Muslims will not vote for christian candidate from the north. It was subtly perfected on religion and ethnic ground but same party and her supporters will be claiming LP and Obi rode on religion sentiment but forgotten they did the worst.
Please let shame catch you people small, no candidate rode on religion sentiment like Tinubu and APC. Many instances to buttress that.
Wait till 2026 before campaigning please. i don't have time for this wail.

Bro, let's leave the human error out of this, you cannot employ your political cronies in key positions ignoring professionals and expect progress. . See, Nigeria cannot move forward until Nigeria is managed like a BUSINESS and ignore irrelevant focus on politics, then progress would start. By the time politician and Nigerians focus and concentrate on the work at hand and remove focus on the next election and lies, then we would start moving forward. Human error is not our problem at all.... it's greed, power, foolishness, wickedness and too much politics that's our major problem
Political cronies? Bro, be real please. Which key position is not occupied by an educated and qualified expert? Mention it and mention a more qualified person for it please. We are certainly not talking about ministerial positions which are mandated by the constitution, those are administrative positions and they are able enough as any other political party. If they are the ones you are referring to, let's leave the discussion.

Thankfully, we don't need a saint to rule Nigeria, it's not a church, mosque, temple, or kingdom of heaven. It's still a country on earth. It needs a visionary with strong will. Mayeldah:
So if a man with many wives gives his life to Christ, he and his family and they come to your church, you and your pastor will ask him to send the other wives away or stop coming to your church? Are you for real?
Christ died for all. The man married all his wives legally, so he can continue with all. The only limitation he may have is that he cant aspire t become a worker or a pastor.

If God tolerated polygamy in the old times and even related with men like David and others that are polygamous, he won't condemn the polygamists of today.

My point here is if the man had married them as an unbeliever,I am not encouraging believers to take a second wife. Btw, if the woman is sent away and couldn't get someone else to marry her, as a believer won't she be given to sin.

You guys should stop tying yourselves with laws that God didn't give you. Obey the scripture not your GO.
All these IFs that never happen are like the pharisaic woman that had seven husband scenarios. They do not exist. They are mentally gymanstics to try to make the Word of God look unreasonable.
If a sinner repents, he should drop his sins and come to the Lord and the body of Christ, not carry his things tightly without handing them over to the Lord. Polygamy is not the perfect will of God and is not tolerated in the New Testament and in many nations around the world. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ, and that grace is not for toleration but for obedience.

It's easy for a female who is not God-fearing to be a 'lesbian' na, except she has issues with it growing up. What do they know more than masturbation, using tools, and touching each other? They can do that by themselves or for each other, which is what the man does for them 'legally'. Where they feel they need men is outside sex and giving birth. For that one, they cannot cheat nature.
What they don't know, though, is that they are on the broad way of perdition and need the Lord.

There is no need putting away a second wife just because you got born again. Let's stop tying up ourselves with laws that does not bind us as believers. Born again christians are encouraged to have one wife only but if you already had many wives before giving your life to Christ there is no need putting some of them away, you can still make heaven like that as they are legally married. 1 Corinth 7 gives perspectives to these things.
The

The problem is that most of us are a product of the limited knowledge of the word of God of our GOs. A lot of them put up these doctrines out of limited knowledge of God's word.

Let's stand fast in the liberty where Christ has made us free, why entangling yourselves again with human made laws?
i did not mention human made laws. Polygamy is outlawed in many places across the world BTW. Polygamous marriages are not recognised in many parts of the world. It is in West and some parts of Central Africa that we still have people hyping the rubbish. Yes, polygamy is rubbish in many ways and results, and most people from polygamous homes do not want to practice it.
Just like many countries, Jesus Christ did not recognise the so called husband of the Samaritan woman as her husband.
Same with Apostle Paul who asked someone to be sent out of the church for having his father's wife. If you married a dog, a tree, same sex before being a believer, i guess you will also say it is limited knowledge to dissolve such a useless relationship? That is not the liberty that Jesus gave. He gave you liberty to obey the will of God. You don't need Jesus' liberty to practice polygamy.

He took that video in the daytime and there were no herdsmen or livestock in sight. There is no evidence that he confronted them or threatened them with violence. Why are you turning this matter upside down? undecided The farmers are not the aggressors here - the rogue herders are!! Even if someone comes here and debunks everything this farmer on the video has said - there are still hundreds (if not thousands) of true and valid cases of trespassing and farm destruction by rogue herders and their cattle - across the entire country. These cases go back years. Again I ask, what do you want people like this farmer to do? undecided

This rogue herdsmen matter is not a new problem. It has lasted this long precisely because the government allowed it to. A government that looks the other way when people are being pushed to the wall in this manner - is that a government? undecided
What exactly do you want? You want me to rant and whine about herdsmen and government? i don't have such unproductive time to waste. My advice to people like the farmer is to stay safe. Life lost cannot be gotten back. Don't lose your life to herdsmen because you want to eat or make money. Find something and some place else, if you cannot be safe where you are.
