McKren:This is nothing but paranoid conspiracy theories divorced from reality.Let me you ask a question. Are you one of those people who believe that the US or Jews had something to do with Sept 11? Is the US not already by far the largest investor in Nigeria? Is the US not our largest export market? Was it not the US that helped cancell our debts in the first place? China is actually reversing our foreign debt progress.-http://odili.net/news/source/2007/sep/4/419.htmlIn 20 years time, you will be moaning about China's conspiracy to indebt us.Remember our $32 billion debt started with a $2 billion debt |
McKren:The above implies that Nigeria is dragging its foot over closer military ties with the US while the US has desperately sought such ties. The irony is that the reverse is the case.It was the same US that refused to sell arms to Nigeria, imploring the Govt to seek a peaceful solution to the Niger-Delta crisis.Same US that ruled out any such thing as a defence pact with Nigeria. Closer commercial relations between Nigeria and China does not negatively affect the US.The US is by far the biggest investor in China and China is also one of the biggest investors in the US.Your posts just embody wild speculations about US motives symptomatic of anti-American paranoia which is fashionable these days. How would the US benefit from restricting foreign investment in Nigeria when it is crucial to its interest that Nigeria stay stable and continues to grow. That is why the US lobbied for Nigeria's debts to be cancelled in the first place. If the US was desperate to stop Chinese growth,it might as well stop being the biggest investor in China and stop being China's largest single export market.Without US acquiescence,China will not grow in the first place and so the issue of their rising profile won't arise. The US concern over China's policies in Africa is borne out of how China's growing energy dependence on Africa might affect China's strategic decision making.Darfur offers a good example where China's foreign policy has been dictated by its oil interests in Sudan. However, there is no indication that the US is in trepidation over this. International politics is not black and white nor ABC. They are not straightforward and will never be. It is like asking someone to provide evidence that the war in Iraq is more about oil than anything. So we are supposed to believe at whim the above without any logical explanation of how US oil interests are furthered by a military invasion? Cant is no substitute for proper analysis. Look at how you are talking about US having special forces in Djibouti and Mali, do those countries have special forces in US?So?The US has troops in Germany and Japan but neither of these have in the US.What's your point? Why were countries in Eastern Europe lobbying the US to move its military bases to their country while not insisting on reciprocity? Our priorities at all times must be looking after ourselves and protecting our National Interest.Nigeria is free to announce a terror alert in the US and we will all have a laugh about it.Since we can't provide electricity or even regular fuel supply to our selves,a terror alert will make it to Jon Stewarts late nite program |
I don't think a terror attack is likely but I do know Bin Laden and Al-Zawahiri have mentioned severally,Nigeria,as a nation Al-Qaeda is interested in. Bin Laden on Al-Jazeera mentioned Nigeria as a country "worthy of jihad".If the US takes that seriously, that is hardly surprising |
@McKren Copying and pasting Laolu Akande's article doesn't answer the question-How does a US terror alert imply an attempt to thwart China's rising profile ? Surely, you must be able to articulate in your own words why you think this terror alert is logically linked to US perception of China. There are US special forces in African countries like Djibouti and Mali where there are no apparent Chinese commercial interests. This is what I don't get,the logical continuum between a US terror alert and China's rising profile. |
Make una dey deceive una selves dey talk "other countries do the same".Once you were born in the West, there is no way you can alter your age.Even me wey grow up for Naija, there is no way they can alter the records again Some Latin American countries do cheat but not on the scale of West African countries. It seems there is no single player in that team that is below 17. At the end of the day, those German boys we defeated will still be waxing stronger when most of our boys would have retired. In the long term,we are harming our prospects. Its a case of victory at all costs at the expense of the future |
Nas go sue someone for copyright abuse ![]() |
Nazism was politics but it was also irrational.I told you to strip away the pablum and offer something substantive. How does a US terror alert, which is common even in the US,thwart China's rising profile. Saying something which is apparently meaningless is hardly intelligent. When the US claims its embassy are under threat in the West,is it also to thwart China? |
Its a knockout!!! Jackal, stop going down the memory lane with your elders ![]() |
Adebayor is a crap player that will never mature into a top class player. He is not even Arse-anal material,he should playing for the likes of Pompey or Reading |
McKren:Let's strip away the pablum and be substantive. How does a US terror alert imply an attempt to thwart China's rising profile.I have never been able to understand much of the pseudo-reasoning used in anti-American diatribes |
Zik is popular despite the fact that he was personally corrupt.Okotie-Eboh a.k.a Mr 10% is loved by his people despite his thievery.Awolowo is adored by the Yorubas despite being a trend setter in embezzlement. So the Ijaws are not unique in their supposed reaction to Alams and are by no means any more confused than other Nigerians |
hajifaty:Abeg, which Western country get Arabic inscriptions on their currency? |
If there was any bias, its only a bias for footballing fortunes to be decided on the pitch. The FA would rather that West Ham was relegated due to finishing in the bottom 3 than due to boardroom decisions. Deciding things in the boardroom is hugely unattractive, remember when Udoji Utd won the League because of boardroom decisions. It takes the shine off the marketing appeal of the league |
@Jackal What evidence do you have that West Ham "doctored" games? Ei incumbit probatio qui dicit, non qui negat |
Fiddy's album is good. . . but you know the standard he set before with Get Rich . . . This new album is full of "pop music".Some duets with J Timberlake and N Scherzinger, there is only one Dre produced track. Its better than a lot of the trash that has been out but you expect better from Fiddy There is an album sampler here -http://www.hiphopgame.com/index2.php3?page=tracks1 |
@Jackal I saw the dodgy lyrics you were spitting on some thread Rap music is going down the drain I think its all the screwed up Southerners that killed rap. They spread their virus all over the inustryListening to Fiddy's new album and its his worst ever. The only good music is on mixtape these days Everybody loves money. . . and I didn't say legal drug money Just legal drugs. . .major difference ![]() |
doyin13:Mike? He has been like that since he started getting his hamstring problems back in 1999.He has changed his game to reflect his waning pace. . .he now operates more like a fox in the box striker. I remember back in the 97-98 season, there was a debate about whether he was better off playing as a winger. He had a lot of pace then |
No be everybody dey into gadgets, dude. How old you think I am? Believe me,you get tired of having them around. I heard Owen has a thigh problem.Hope he doesn't play,he is too injury prone and might end up injured for Utd.Whatever happens,I hope England don't qualify.I've been against England since they appointed McClaren. Bloody xenophobes were on Sven's back, hope they get their comeuppance. My interests- music, legal drugs, money and whupping Gunners butts . Why the Bleep are you asking? |
@Jackal I hate international breaks. The only thing that will make me happy is if England were to get seriously thumped Don't have a thing for gadgets. You get tired of them easily |
debosky:But neither have you.3 games at home and only one away.If you think Liverpool hasn't been seriously tested, same goes for Arse-anal.The Pompey game was the only particularly convincing game, remember I predicted it will be an esay victory for Arsenal-my ever accurate prophecies It was also the only game you won that wasn't by a single goal margin |
Mc Omo:If anything. . .I'm just being condescending to you because I know you have a mediocre mind That's why you are sometimes here exchanging words with girls in there early 20s Can you just discuss the footie or shut your trap.Everybody knows you are a miserable old man already. ![]() |
debosky:You have to consider that Liverpool nearly finished ahead of Utd a couple of seasons ago.I believe we finished just one point ahead of them. That season, they did well in the Prem because they were knocked out of the UCL quite early by Benfica.I believe since Benitez has decided to go for the League title this season,Liverpool will do very well. You can't be too dismisive of a 6-0 margin.I don't think Utd ever managed that margin of victory in the League throughout last season. They have played 4 games and they were impressive against Sunderland as well.Only the game against Villa was a bit of a damp squid but they still came out victorious. A very crucial factor for me is the simple fact that this Liverpool squad, most of them, has once breached the 80 point mark. Most of the present Arsenal squad have never done it.They have never breached the 70 point mark. For Arsenal to challenge for the top 2,they have to reach 80 points.I can't see that happening |
Mc Omo:So na why u blow kisses at him the other time? Listen Methusela, you are one inane pussy. Why didn't I make the connection between "Kit" and pussy? You need to stop distracting footie fans on this thread. Abeg,I don't want to continue beating up a granny ![]() |
jejelolatu:So you no dey enjoy this "granny-baiting"? ![]() |
debosky:I know Gunners are much better than last season. However,I'm convinced that a season is not enough time to make the neccesary improvement to finish ahead of Liverpool,Chelski or Utd.Initially,I was thinkin the Gunners could finish 3rd,but having seen Liverpool,I think 4th is the only realistic possibility for this season. |
@MC Obo You are grumpy, stupid and a cunt. Your case is purest expresssion of idiocy and infantilism. You are a curmudgeon in your 40s,so I guess its a case of menopause I understand age fcuks up cunts but you are one bleeped up cunt.Come here and be beefing with girls young enough to be your daughter ![]() Stop acting as Loyiks spokescunt, you 2 cunts need to chill.Did I not catch you once blowing kisses at the man? And why the Bleep are you so grumpy? You need to check your estrogen levels Mr Vagina.Do us all favour, you know nothing about football,so please take your brainlessness to another thread.Leave this thread for football fans. ![]() |
Do you people agree that you are finishing 4th or not? That is the question.Once you admit it,there will be peace ![]() |
@MC Obo Why did your retarded middle aged self refer to me in your post in the first place. You bleat on like a woman undergoing permanent PMS,that is why I call you a vagina. You be Loyika spokescunt? You go refer to person dey wonder why the person dey respond to you.Do something useful with your life, how many times have I seen your middle aged pathetic self abusing girls young enough to be your daughter. You are just a cunt,I dey pity you ![]() |
Abegi,I thinkin pidgin Englis is gooder for Nigerians. Why must us learn how to speaken good English, was it ours langage? ![]() |
@Jeje So who I suppose respect? The vagina called Kitaun or the slowpoke called Lexi ?Anyone who insists that 4 games is good enough to tell what will happen at the end of the season is an idiot. @Debo Untill you play that game and win,no Gunner can claim to be 5 points ahead of Chelski or Utd.How many away games have you played in the Prem? That the Geordies have had problem with scoring goals at St James doesn't tell us anything.Even under Roeder last season, they had an excellent record against the top 4 at St James Park. They were unbeaten. So a presumption of victory is foolishness |
Whether or not 5 points is easy to recoup, Liverpool and Arsenal are not going to bow down this season, and without rooney and ronaldo - u are doomedWhy is this slowpoke talking of 5 points to recoup when they haven't won the game in hand(versus Newcastle in St James Park)? Whitelexi you are a bloody imbecille, stay off the sports threads Wenger signed a 3 year contract. That means we have 3 more years of underachievement disguised as "building for the future" ![]() |
Sir Alex Ferguson is chasing another prodigy after targeting Barcelona's hot prospect Giovani Dos Santos. The Manchester United boss, who has already signed Portuguese whizzkid Nani and Brazilian starlet Anderson this summer, is keeping tabs on the 18-year-old Mexican. Barcelona are anxious to tie Giovani down to a long-term contract which would increase his £20m buy-out clause. Giovani has recently switched agents to Portuguese Jorge Mendes who also looks after Jose Mourinho and has done several deals for Manchester United. Barca's sporting director, Tixiki Beguristain, said: "It is normal for a player of his talent to receive interest from other clubs. "But I am calm and we are confident that he will stay and sign a new contract with Barcelona." Manchester United defender Danny Simpson has committed himself to the club until 2010 by signing a new contract. The 20-year-old fullback spent the second half of last season on loan at Sunderland, as they won promotion. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2007/09/06/sir-alex-is-lining-up-the-next-whizzkid-89520-19742864/ |
