you can't compare Dudu or Wesley's case to Cesc

Cesc was at the club prior to Paddy V's departure, so it is possible to say he was displaced - AW probably felt it was a better bet to build his new team around Cesc than around PV who was not as motivated as before and was looking to secure his future pay checks.

He was vindicated by Cesc outplaying his mentor a few months later against Juve.
So Paddy V left because of Cesc? Otherwise,he would have remained at Arsenal? You have a distinctly unique memory of events.I seem to remember Vieira desperately aching for a move away from Arsenal.

Cesc "outplaying" Vieira in one game proved nothing.Vieira has won more titles-ignoring Calciopoli-since he left.Precisely the reason he felt it was time to move.

Me think it's better super eagles leave the tournament at this stage instead of giving us false hope only to fail with a more disgraceful margin to any of the stronger or more prepared teams. The team should be disbanded QED.
I think they should simply claim food poisoning and return back to their locations. They shouldn't even bother turning up for the match against Benin to be disgraced by Benin.

Long Live Benin Republic !

RomanceRe: Virginity Is Not Dignity,it Is Just Lack Of Opportunity by Iman3(m): 5:27pm On Jan 29, 2008
Its always said that the practice of virginity is eroding-people are no longer staying virgins until they get married. The reality is that there have been cultural changes that necessitate that .

Back in the days when people got married in their early teens, staying a virgin till marriage wasn't hard work.If you are living in an era where people don't get married until their late 20s,you can't have it like before.

Hey,just realised that this doesn't really have anything to with the topic,I just type furiously at my keyboard just like that

Cesc only got a regular spot after Vieira sought and got a transfer to Juventus.

The former is holding in Dreamland.

PoliticsRe: Is Bill Clinton Going Too Far? by Iman3(m): 4:26pm On Jan 29, 2008
I hung up on him and went to sleep. A half hour later, Eileen answered a midnight call. A voice told her that the president of the United States was calling for Dick Morris. She told the caller that I was sleeping. Two minutes later, the phone rang again. “Miss, this is a call from the president of the United States.” Again, she told the caller that I was asleep. “The president wants to speak to Mr. Morris right now, please.” “I’m sorry, tell the president that he’s not available right now.” When the phone rang again a few minutes later, it woke me up. It was the president, calling to apologize and to talk about the convention.

Bill’s tantrums are causing the press to focus on him and not Hillary. That’s what he wants. No more questions about her experience, her ethics, her flip-flops. Now it's all about Bill.
PoliticsRe: Is Bill Clinton Going Too Far? by Iman3(m): 4:22pm On Jan 29, 2008
Abeg, read this funny article about Bill's temper problems:

Many years earlier, in 1990, he seriously overstepped his boundaries with me during one of his blind rages and permanently changed our relationship.

It was during his last gubernatorial race and he was falling behind in the polls. When we met at the governor’s mansion, it was close to midnight. Hillary and Gloria Cabe, his campaign manager at the time, were at the meeting with Bill and me. I had left Connecticut after oral surgery that morning to arrive in time for a 6 p.m. meeting. My mouth was killing me, but I avoided taking any pain killers to be alert for the strategy session. The meeting was changed several times because Bill had decided to do the Nightline Show. He finally arrived back to the mansion in a foul mood. Even though he was a teetotaler, I wondered if he had been drinking.

When he learned of his decline in the polls, he immediately blamed me, accusing me of spending too much time with other clients. Yelling and screaming, he escalated his charges, refusing to listen to me tell him that his latest ad had not been on television yet when the poll was completed. He kept ranting.

Finally, I had enough. I stood up and said I was leaving, quitting the campaign. I grabbed my coat and headed out of the mansion. As I crossed the foyer, I suddenly fell to the ground, tackled by Bill Clinton. I saw his large fist coming at me. Hillary was trying to get between us, yelling “Bill, Bill, stop it. Think about what you are doing. Bill, stop it!”

Bill got up and I walked out the door. Hillary ran after me. She tried to calm me and asked me to walk around the grounds of the Mansion with her. “He only does this to people he loves,” she told me. (I’ll leave that one for the psychologists.)

I have seen lots of women with such intelligence, but most times some of them prefer to use it on issues that does not have any positive impact on humanity.
You have to agree with me on this.
Whether some issues have a positive impact on humanity depends on your perspective.Besides,in our culture, women are discouraged from participating in politics whether openly or through condescending behavior.

It was interesting that a poll revealed that people are more receptive to a black president than a female one in America.Food for thought.

People keep going on about how Obama is handicapped by his race but there is still a barely suppressed snobbery held by men against the idea of a woman in position of power.

McKren:
Ok appologies

Mr McChivalry, lets see whether Kobo will accept but I doubt he/she is a woman. undecided I never believe anything Richy says grin I used to think Kobo was a woman until Richy made the same claim, now I can't tell.

Foreign AffairsRe: Senator Edward Kennedy Endorsed Obama by Iman3(m): 3:14pm On Jan 29, 2008
Let's put it this way,if Sen Kennedy ran for the Democratic nomination,he won't get elected. An extremely unpopular Jimmy Carter thoroughly thumped him in 79/80.If the man himself, with all the Kennedys behind him, doesn't enjoy that level of support within his party, his impact will on Obama's popularity will be minimal at best.

Its not that his endorsement means nothing its just that we shouldn't exaggerate its implications.Even JFK himself barely squeaked through a victory winning by a 0.2% margin that could have gone either way if Nixon asked for a recount.I have never subscribed to the Kennedy myth.

FINAL SCORE- ARSENAL 7-4 MAN UTD tongue
When was the last time Arsenal scored more than 3 goals against Utd? We have even doubled your maximum of 3 at OT. . . . . .never mind that,we hit 4 past you at Highbury!

I think Arsenal are ripe for a trashing at OT one of these days. grin One of the 2 games at OT against Arsenal this season might see a real thumping normally reserved for the likes of AS Roma and Newcastle grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Iman3(m): 2:29pm On Jan 29, 2008
This bastard is living up to his "Viewer" reputation. How is it any of his business where Utd go during midweek? If our Saudi trip caused our jaded performance against Spurs,I guess Arsenal holidayed in Pluto before playing Spurs in midweek.

Arsène Wenger has questioned the wisdom of Manchester United making a 6,000-mile "sunshine break" to Saudi Arabia in the middle of the season and suggested that such heavy travelling could derail the holders' title challenge.

United spent five days in Riyadh last week for a training camp and friendly, which earned the club around £1m. With the return flight diverted to Egypt for refuelling, the squad spent three hours on the plane at Cairo and did not arrive back in Manchester until 8pm on Thursday. Their somewhat jaded performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday - albeit in a game they eventually won 3-1 - showed the flip side of such trips.

Rosicky also has 16 attempts on target to Giggs 7. 39 scoring attempts to Giggs 29 and 616 accurate passes to Giggs 447.I just think Rosicky edges it because he is younger and fitter.

Hleb? Hleb's record is even worse than Giggs. The guy is just a Belarussian show pony.I know looking at the stats can confuse you,ask Dayokanu, but Rosicky seems to have an edge over Hleb

Looked at Rosicky v Giggs for the umpteenth time. Its borderline whose stats are better undecided

Rosicky has 2 goal assists to Giggs 4 in the league.27 goal attempts created to 57 attempts created by Giggs but Rosicky has scored 6 goals to Giggs 2
