All over the world toll gates exist and they serve well. The presence of toll gates does not point to extortion. I believe the government should actually concession major highways and let the companies raise tolls to generate their funds back. That will increase the quality of road and also provide a better road network in Nigeria.

As to Lekki Tollgate, it is a "crime scene", LCC commit any crime so why punish them in perpetuity? Remember that there are also Nigerians who are employed at the tollgate

Please never you compare monkey & banana just because they are often seen together. In the sane clone, uninflated standard cost of construction, amount generated, maintenance budget & plans, etc are known by tax payers. A crime is been "~~investigated~~" and a party should be allowed to continue business when they are accused for conspiring to create the atmosphere. Sad that such news keep surfacing especially from that industry. It shows that they don't make as much as desired, they don't have an income plan for themselves while their association or group don't equally have any insurance in place. There is certainly something about gender in their business because you keep seeing just one movie appearance of an "actress" she buys expensive house & cars while the reverse is the case for the male who may appear in several movies. You only need loans to increase existing profiting business and not for startup, bills, gambling, etc. And no financing body will grant you loan without accessing your ability to payback via the business you projected. And lastly they don't know LAPO also source the money via different means and they are to equal do a refund, this means when they listen to stories they automatically go out of business.
