obedience4: As long as the discuss is about the middle-east and the Israeli War against extremists. Religion would always creap into the discuss
We are discussing about terrorists groups like Hamas, Houthis and Hezbollah This are terrorist groups which are largely influenced by religion, A simple glance at the ideologies and manifestos of these terror groups, one can easily find that their doctrines are anti American imperialism and anti zionism all based and backed by teachings from the Islamic RELIGION.
So when discussing matters relating to the Jews righteous war against the collective aggression of Iran and his Cohorts of terror groups, matters relating to religion is bound to spring up.
But I do wonder what criteria was used to formulate such list, How come i am named among dose propagating religion on this holy thread. The list isn't of those propagating religion, it's about posts of yours like your first paragraph To understand why I made the list, follow the conversation trail |

With all said and done sha, this thread was a major reason for earlier shutting down Nairaland. Infact, I believe it was the reason it was shut down, there's a lot of evidence to suggest that and it was because of the posts exposing israeli crimes
All the same, it's writterng's thread and he wants more Russia-Ukraine content than any other and that's understandable
But the fear of Nigerian authorities coming for us here is baseless, because Nigeria is officially for a Two State Solution and has no problems with the Palestinian resistance or Hezbollah. The threat is from zionists who've already shut down the site once and might prompt the closure of this thread or shutdown the site again
Either way, we should keep everything respectful and fact-based |

Michaeltreasure: Suit thyself! If you see nothing wrong in those posts, then there's no difference between you and those Israelis you passionately hate. People with such ideology aren't fighting for the liberation of an oppressed people, they're simply filled with hate for a set of people. Every terrorist group today started with the desire to free a set of people they believe is oppressed. That desire as an emotion grows into hatred, hence, birthing terrorism. All those posts I'm condemning are filled with hate for Israel not love for the Palestinians. Till today, super rich Arab nations are not helping the Palestinians, there simply arming them to kill Isrealis. I feel for the innocent Palestinians caught between all this quagmire. Bros don't quote me again with gibberish |

Michaeltreasure: Please, what's happening to this thread? Where are the beautiful military and political analysis this thread was known for? I miss all those arguments from both the pro west, pro east and the non allied supporters. This thread used to be full of knowledge. I seems like religious extremists have taken over. All I read these days are Islamic extremists glorifying terrorism, especially since the latest Iran-Israel conflict. Someone even posted a glorified picture of a woman draped in Al Qaeda like attire. What's happening? WriterNG, check this thread you created! Instead of smart and intelligent political and military assessment of the Israel Iran conflict, I'm just seeing Islamic extremists post ever where. Seun, your attention is needed here. Some people have hijacked this fountain of intelligence and turned it into a hide out for potential terrorists. If Nairaland were to be based in advanced countries or even in Saudi Arabia or Egypt, Seun would have been summoned for questioning by now. Those extremists posting terrorist contents on this thread are giving Islam a bad name. Makes me wonder if Islam is truly a violent religion as is popularly said... That's a Palestinian woman wearing a Palestinian Keffiyeh, a traditional Palestinian scarf Go and educate yourself, don't just be spewing ignorance |

If Biden truly wants a ceasefire, then he's the weakest US President in a long time, because he had claimed that Israel had agreed to ceasefires, only for netanyahu to make a complete fool of him thereafter
All that needs to happen for a ceasefire to be in effect is for the US to withhold arms shipments. The US has the real leverage to force netanyahu's hand into accepting a ceasefire, but they've refused to do so
Unless there's a ceasefire, Israel will continue to escalate, because the ultra-zionists in government want to use the October 7 excuse to carve out 'greater israel', so it's really up to the US and Israelis
As for this latest Iran attack, if nothing, it demonstrates Iran's ability to hurt Israel, which can devastate the country if it gets to that
The truth is Israel has relied on the US and West's slavish support to exercise impunity in the region, but the era of Western complete superiority is fast eroding and it'll be up to Israel to decide whether they want to be a part of the region by being respectful of its neighbours, or it wants to be a bully, which will not bode well for it
Everybody wants a respectful peace, but SI VIS PACEM PARABELLUM |

Yes, you read right, so called Iran new government. This is the same country that wanted to be regional powerful country. No wonder Isreal government can’t take them seriously. Iran government are confused
The difference between Russians and Iranians, is clear like day light. Georgia and Syria war shows that Russia can do whatever USA(NATO) can do without consequences. Minsk accords was huge mistakes that Russia signed because it is like betrayal of Donbass people and even Istanbul peace was almost looked the same until the prayers of Donbass region was answer and Boris(NATO) jeopardised it . Now not only is Ukraine going to lose all those regions, they are losing men too.

The Nigerian army can claim Niger and Chad are housing terrorists and they can use this motives to occupy those countries.
Another good example
The Congo government (DRC) can invade Rwanda and Uganda because the government provide refuge for the militia movement M23.

LordAdam16: Practice makes perfect. Palestine is one of the most surveilled patch of earth on the planet. Its leaders used to be swatted like flies and they had to learn the hard way.
Iran and Hezbollah had gotten complacent. Hezbollah especially focused more on posturing as a defacto state within a state without paying grave attention to the security complications that emerged from becoming more public-facing. The next crop of leaders will be more fastidious.

The only Ls that Hamas has suffered were on the territories of Iran with Haniyeh and Lebanon with Saleh al-Arouri. This was an overlooked preliminary indication of infiltration by israel in Iran and Hezbullah ranks
The aforesaid Haniyeh had previously stayed in Turkey and Qatar for long periods without incident. Turkey had actually taken down an assassination squad setup to kill Hamas members there
Now in just a few days, Hezbullah has been severely decapitated through just airstrikes, something israel has failed in, in the tiny Gaza strip. Yahya Sinwar, Muhammad deif and the leaders of the factions in Gaza are all alive and well, despite israel's flattening of the strip
Hezbullah has been deeply compromised, along with Iran. Who would have thought that Hamas would be more of a headache to israel than Hezbullah
It's left to be seen what plays out from here, but so far, brand Iran has taken a big big hit and they MUST do something significant, or else they'll be just another helpless Middle Eastern country
The evidence currently suggests that the Palestinian Resistance factions are the only effective fighting force among those battling the israelis
Iran and Hezbullah have a lot of cleaning up to do |

Lawag3: A blockade isn't a occupation.
Until 2005, more than 9,000 Israeli settlers were illegally residing in Gaza. That's from one of your link. GAZA was basically freed until hamas gain power. That's when israel imposed a blockade on a terrorist group that is main goal is the destruction of Israel.
(1) the relatively small size of Gaza in connection with the technological superiority of the Israeli air force allows Israeli boots to be present in Gaza within a reasonable response time; (2) Hamas's authority and armed resistance do not impede the status of occupation; (3) the long pre-disengagement occupation and close proximity between Israel and Gaza (geography) allow for the remote exercise of effective control; and (4) all imports, exports in and out of Gaza, and any movement of persons are fully controlled and regulated by Israel That's the reason your Cambridge link says Gaza is occupied.
(1) the relatively small size of Cuba in connection with the technological superiority of the American air force allows American boots to be present in Cuba within a reasonable response time.
So Cuba is occupied because America is stronger?
(2) Hamas's authority and armed resistance do not impede the status of occupation;
How doest it? They were voted by gazans control everything that has entered Gaza make laws for Gaza one of you lots said that if not for Hamas Gaza will be the west bank.
(3) the long pre-disengagement occupation and close proximity between Israel and Gaza (geography) allow for the remote exercise of effective control; and
Eh that's a blockade and a blockade isn't an occupation.
(4) all imports, exports in and out of Gaza, and any movement of persons are fully controlled and regulated by Israel
This is just number 3 repeated again. A blockade isn't an occupation.
The Red Cross doesn't have a say in this. During the holocaust they deny it happened https://www.nytimes.com/1996/12/19/us/red-cross-admits-knowing-of-the-holocaust-during-the-war.html The links i shared out of the many others i could have added, literally gave tons of reasons why Gaza is under occupation, despite the so-called withdrawal Let's agree to disagree 🤝 |

Simeonjoe1: You talk of the war in Gaza as if Isreal is bugged down like Russia in Ukraine. There's no meaningful resistance in Gaza, any clog on the Gaza offensive is because of the consideration for civilian casualties and not hamas militant. True they'll be schemish and sneaks attack here and there but that's all there is. No matter how superiorly numerical you are, in personnel and equipment, ground offensive also comes with its own challenges. This I believe Isreal will encounter in Lebanon, the deeper they thrust the more challenging it becomes. The greatest challenge will be from within, from the grandeurs politics at play, it's internal military miring and with a little Hezbolla resistance. Wars are not won on the battlefield... Sun Tzu Consideration of civilian casualties? Really? I don't even think that deserves an answer honestly The israelis aren't bogged down, i agree because they can withdraw at anytime and end this thing, but they've refused all suggestions of it. They've put themselves in a hole currently by setting for themselves unachievable goals like "destroying Hamas" and "militarily rescuing all captives". It must be pointed out though, that those responsible for prolonging the war are netanyahu and the right wing coalition members, the military representatives together with gantz have expressed an opennesss to negotiating an end to the war and returning the captives It's left to be seen the extent to which the current israeli government coalition of doomsdayists will be allowed to overstretch its hands, to the endangerment of the region and their people |
