Also, most of them wnot ever share their recipe, but one things that's sure is that bony meat called tantakwashi. Some use yakuwa to make it a bit sour and less sweet, maybe that's what I'm missing.

My favorite abinchi hausawa.

I tell you..you can't get of it...when you get that fluffy texture with a tasty soup or yaji to go with it. Include tuwo shinkafa ,garau garau or Dan wake among your favorite hausa food.

The soup for Masa should be loosely prepared Miyan gyada, not this one that's thick for tuwo.

Infact, some people don't even use groundnut in their Masa soup. The secret to Masa soup is that it should have so much broth your Masa can soak it all up. If it's not that, then correct yaji for Masa (the one made with kuli kuli) is my next choice.

But for tuwo, Miyan gyada with crayfish, stockfish and assorted meat is so good.

I have never gotten that Masa joint taste for my Masa soup,I use gyeda, tomatos,shambo ,pepper,spring onions and any vegetable but mostly spinach or waterleaf with yakuwa or ugu.

I remember that year when Rail way was still functioning in Jos we were living at railway quarters then.That year when Obasanjo came to Jos via the train he shared money ,you see mobile police going for peace keeping and transfer via the train. oh...good old days .I sold water,ice block,helped mumcy to sell akara and Koko,sold soap ,bathing water and other things.i made money then.

The area around the terminus became one of the biggest market in West Africa before it got burnt in 2001or 2002.
If only the govt can rebuild and revitalise the market and Jos musuem it will be a very good source of revenue for the state.
