While his efforts towards life on earth are noble, he has refused to acknowledge that just like him, earth has a designer. The Grand Creator of Heaven and Earth, of everything in the heavens, on the earth and beyond the earth - in Space.

"Since the one who constructs a house has more honor than the house itself. Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God" - Hebrews 3:3b, 4

This God, whose name is Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) has a purpose for the earth. That purpose is clearly stated here at Psalms 115: 15,16 which says "May you be blessed by Jehovah, The Maker of heaven and earth. As for the heavens, they belong to Jehovah, But the earth he has given to the sons of men.

Because God has given this earth to humans to live in, it will never be totally destroyed by any force be it human or natural disasters.

"Yes, I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all flesh be destroyed by the waters of a flood, and never again will a flood bring the earth to ruin.” - Genesis 9:11.

"For this is what Jehovah says, The Creator of the heavens, the true God, The One who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it, Who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else" - Isaiah 45:18

"He has established the earth on its foundations; It will not be moved from its place forever and ever." - Psalms 104:5

"Your faithfulness is through all generations. You have firmly established the earth, so that it continues to stand." - Psalms 119:90

These portions of the Holy writings gives hope for the earth and faithful humans who reverence God.

What's more, God has purposed to take judgement action against those exploiting the earth and it's resources. Those who after causing damage to the earth's ecosystems are afraid it will soon fail, hence they wish to take their selfish exploits to outer space. They can never escape the judgement awaiting them. Revelation 11:18 says of them: But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time came for the dead to be judged and to reward your slaves the prophets and the holy ones and those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”

This is a happier news than what Elon and his like are scheming. Because when Jehovah through the Glorified Jesus destroys wicked humans and the greedy commercial system draining the earth of it's resources and reserves, only good and God fearing humans will remain on earth to equitably use its replenished resources in an earthly paradise.

This is the real hope, one that's attainment by all who submit to God through Christ Jesus.
