@erico2k2, Please stop misleading people. Short term is 6months or less! A masters programme clearly does not fall into the short-term category. Get your facts right so you dont misinform people any further, CAPISE! Any course longer than 6months is regard as LONG TERM "A new Student Visitor category was introduced for short term students who wish to study in the UK for six months or less but who do not wish to take part-time employment or seek an extension to their student visitor leave; visitors are no longer allowed to enter the UK to undertake a course of study"; source: www.ukvisas.gov.uk @duksyjay, ignore erico2k2, short term doesnt affect MASTERS PROGRAM, effectively a masters program is LONG TERM. |
Most people are getting this thing mixed up! Nothing, i mean nothing should have stopped them from retracting or apologising in order to set the records straight. If he doesnt like celebrating his birthday that aint any business of mine, knowing the date wont transform Nigeria overnight, but it just shows the kind of president we have, very slow and unresponsive. |
dayes to all the agbalagbas and all i am karid! This is xyz tapper of the bembestically karid illya du excess. May all i am karid walk and neva pade agbako! Any attempt for any comorado to jammer the frequency of this formatua, may their case not resemble the late Dele Giwa who decode not between leta abomb and leta from an opeke! I na awolos the gods are wise. ![]() |
Personally, I wont. But at the same time, i wont condemn anyone who decides to, i've meant loads off girls between 19-22yrs old and they are already full grown women. If she doesnt mind sacrificing are freedom and enjoying some of her best years I dont see a problem with it. Those people screaming blue murder, child abuse, paedophile etc I'm sure you guys do worse things in the dark. |
@ poster, very soon people will start asking "how to spell their name" No offence, but check urself. No even knows where u'll be travelling from and ur destination in the so called yankee! |
fact remains that he's 57, but his silence is so annoying! Correct simple mistakes or misunderstanding. It just shows how he runs the country. The man lacks initiative and direction, over 12months and he hasnt done anything except reverse Obasanjo's policies to score some cheap political points. |
I wasnt surprised when I saw the news, but I was very amazed that the man instead of correcting the alleged erroneous publication decided to keep quite in his usual "sidon look" attitude. If there's confusion over is date of birth and he choses to ignore, I wonder how he can steer the country out of our current drawbacks. Mr President is simply ineffective. see: http://www.punchontheweb.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art20080715335140 |
femigirl:Answer: No offence, but we dunno! |
@Kadman, i dont know, it may just be for a few weeks. |
After making plenty money. ![]() THE British High Commission in Abuja and the Deputy High Commission in Lagos have announced the stoppage of the issuance of visas to certain Nigerians wishing to travel to the United Kingdom. British consular authorities claimed that the decision was informed by “an unavoidable technical failure.” From tomorrow, their visa application centres in Abuja, Ibadan, Ikeja and Victoria Island will only accept applications from certain categories of would-be UK visitors. According to the High Commission, visa applications bordering on urgent and compassionate cases (e.g medical treatment, returning residents, fast track applicants and settlement for children) will, however, not be affected. Other categories of travellers whose visa applications will be accepted and processed include: EEA family permits, diplomats and officials, DATV and transit visitors and long-term students. Still dont know what women are doing on planet earth? I suggest they tie them up and sen em away to Venus! Confused lot of people, women are very confused. they want romance, attention, love, care, affection and MONEY. After working yourself to death when will you have time to satisfy those needs? Women are very selfish and only think about HOW they feel and not a care about their partners' emotion. Everything has to be about them |
@janami, janami:You see my point, with over a billion women in this world and the entire womenfolk trying to be unique that results in over a billion ways/things that women want. Women are very very confused. |
In a nutshell, they (women) very confused. One minute they want attention, 30 seconds later they demand for affection, in another 15 seconds they request for ice-cream and when you want to enter their jerusalem they will start with very long things after that they'll say you aint romantic!!!!! |
I think you lot have missed the point, for some strange reasons they (women) DONT even know what they want. The problem with them is that they think they KNOW but unfortunately they don't! Tie all the women and send them to planet Venus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
thanks man, will spread the word! |
@pharuk, PLEASE dont misinform people. Your maths doesnt support your claim of 19% monthly at all! Even though i havent being to the bank myself, no one will charge 19% interest monthly, use your head that will be 228% per annum!!!!! Haba, even if the banks are demons and blood sucking vampires, they can never do that. Do you realise that if the charge 19% monthly in just over 6months you would have completely paid off the prinicipal and every other payment on top of that na extra!!! The payments can be monthly no doubt, but interest calculated monthly at 19% is not possible!!!! |
yinkaoke:I still dont get your analogy, Warren Buffet will no longer be No. 1? Who gives a f.uck about that? If the market crashes that doesnt stop people from trading, remember that some investors are contrarians while some employ momentum strategies, so it depends on ur strategy but people are still going to trade. People rushin to liquidate their investments will further dampen the market and push prices down. The need the liquidity has increased sharply with raising oil prices, credit crunch etc My opinion: Personally i think the nigerian stock make needs to go through some corrections as most companies are trading far beyond their fundamental values! |
17% can never be monthly! No matter how inhuman the banks may be, no one will charge 17% monthly, infact anyone signing up for that is a real FOOL! Imagine, if you obtain the maximum 5million, simple arithmetric puts the interest (if it's monthly like some claim) at 850,000 per month. Multiply 850,000 by 42months, total interest payable becomes 35,700,000!!!!!! Interest + Principal repayment then totals 40,700,000! Make people use their head, you get a loan of 5million and end up paying 969,047 (interest + principal repayment) monthly over 42months! imposiCANT! mikkyphp:Interest on loans (on most arrangement) never paid yearly, but monthly. It is only calculated on yearly basis then prorated over the life of the loan. In this case the total monthly repayment will be (139,285 which includes interest and principal) interest only will be 20,238 monthly. Make people use their head! Chineke |
in that case, we've have to swim across! or use canoes!!!! |
But we've got bridges in place! Dont exactly know what you mean. |
na wa o, internet access in the UK is even cheaper than nigeria. Imagine paying almost £91 monthly for 24hr internet access. |
check their website for the recruitment procedure. 1. Interview 2. Test- (If you're pass, u go to the next stage) 3. Assessment centre ( if successful again) 4. Interview with line manager |
I guess this is for people in nigeria? anyways, i'll check with my coz if he can share his experience with you guys! all the best though, stick to wat ama27 adviced in the first instance, then you'll be fine. |
@8ball, are oil companies the only one that recruits? Your focus is entire in the oil industry, anyways i guess different schools have their competencies but overall RGU is not as great as u make it seem. It's a good school no doubt! |
@willyede, gud business schs like Cass, Warwick, MBS, LSE, LBS etc require a minimum of a 2.1 to be honest i dont think your bro has much to pick from except he has ample work experience which can suffice for his 2.2. |
@ jay bee, wat are your friends doing in jp morgan as analyst? if it's they're operations analyst (as many of them are) then wat the heck! people just make so much noise about working in investment banks even when they're not in core IB areas.!!! @ama27, hw r u? |
this thread is very interesting o! in my opinion aje butters should stick with their kind. Make pako manage themselves. To maintain aje butter babe no easy o, even after spending loads of money from you, they demand loads too as per emotion. |
@8ball, some couple of months back, i was a bit confused about picking a good school in the uk but all that is history now. Back to your list, talking of schools with good graduate employment (i guess you mean post-grad level) if i'm right i dont RGU and Heriot-Watt merit that list. You failed to mention quality schools like Warwick, Lancaster, Cranfield, Manchester etc. PS: my opinion though |
The government should have erected SIGNPOSTS before issuing there draconian edicts so that innocent drivers wont fall prey to those blood sucking lasma officials. Speaking from experience, I took a wrong turn an entered a one-way road, there was no sign at all and the lasma guy said as long as i live in lagos i should know where has been designated as one-way streets/roads, i'd to part with some money. It just another ploy to enrich some people. I think it's too early to start mobilising funds for the next election!!!! |
@pharuk, It's like being btw the devil and the deep blue sea! I fit "manage" Greenwich! |
@pharuk, for a postgrad programme, i wont recommend any of the two! for undergrad, u fit manage anyone of them. Greenwich is in south-east london, so if u fancy london and dont mind roughing it out then go for it. Otherwise make you try other places. As for visa issue, the embassy wont fuss about anyone of them because they are not among the "sham" university/college. My opinion pls! |
@ama27, check my profile for the email ad |
