Any course longer than 6months is regard as LONG TERM

Most people are getting this thing mixed up! Nothing, i mean nothing should have stopped them from retracting or apologising in order to set the records straight. fact remains that he's 57, but his silence is so annoying! Correct simple mistakes or misunderstanding. It just shows how he runs the country. The man lacks initiative and direction, over 12months and he hasnt done anything except reverse Obasanjo's policies to score some cheap political points.

I wasnt surprised when I saw the news, but I was very amazed that the man instead of correcting the alleged erroneous publication decided to keep quite in his usual "sidon look" attitude.
If there's confusion over is date of birth and he choses to ignore, I wonder how he can steer the country out of our current drawbacks. Mr President is simply ineffective.

THE British High Commission in Abuja and the Deputy High Commission in Lagos have announced the stoppage of the issuance of visas to certain Nigerians wishing to travel to the United Kingdom.
British consular authorities claimed that the decision was informed by “an unavoidable technical failure.” From tomorrow, their visa application centres in Abuja, Ibadan, Ikeja and Victoria Island will only accept applications from certain categories of would-be UK visitors.
According to the High Commission, visa applications bordering on urgent and compassionate cases (e.g medical treatment, returning residents, fast track applicants and settlement for children) will, however, not be affected.
Other categories of travellers whose visa applications will be accepted and processed include: EEA family permits, diplomats and officials, DATV and transit visitors and long-term students.

PLEASE dont misinform people. Your maths doesnt support your claim of 19% monthly at all! Even though i havent being to the bank myself, no one will charge 19% interest monthly, use your head that will be 228% per annum!!!!!
Haba, even if the banks are demons and blood sucking vampires, they can never do that. Do you realise that if the charge 19% monthly in just over 6months you would have completely paid off the prinicipal and every other payment on top of that na extra!!!

The payments can be monthly no doubt, but interest calculated monthly at 19% is not possible!!!!

If the market crashes that doesnt stop people from trading, remember that some investors are contrarians while some employ momentum strategies, so it depends on ur strategy but people are still going to trade.
People rushin to liquidate their investments will further dampen the market and push prices down. The need the liquidity has increased sharply with raising oil prices, credit crunch etc


My opinion: Personally i think the nigerian stock make needs to go through some corrections as most companies are trading far beyond their fundamental values!

17% can never be monthly! No matter how inhuman the banks may be, no one will charge 17% monthly, infact anyone signing up for that is a real FOOL! Imagine, if you obtain the maximum 5million, simple arithmetric puts the interest (if it's monthly like some claim) at 850,000 per month. Multiply 850,000 by 42months, total interest payable becomes 35,700,000!!!!!! Interest + Principal repayment then totals 40,700,000!
Make people use their head, you get a loan of 5million and end up paying 969,047 (interest + principal repayment) monthly over 42months! imposiCANT!

you don't just sit there and assume it should be per annum.
As i was speaking to the customer care consultant, a marketer breezed by and chiped in, he said "your guarantor can service the monthly interests pending when you come back, so that it wont be burdensome on you"!
When i was told the interest rate, i raised my voice, and they emphasized MONTHLY!
Think of it also, if it's annualy, why is the payback period measured in months? - 42Months!

Interest on loans (on most arrangement) never paid yearly, but monthly. It is only calculated on yearly basis then prorated over the life of the loan. In this case the total monthly repayment will be (139,285 which includes interest and principal) interest only will be 20,238 monthly.

are oil companies the only one that recruits? Your focus is entire in the oil industry, anyways i guess different schools have their competencies but overall RGU is not as great as u make it seem. It's a good school no doubt!

gud business schs like Cass, Warwick, MBS, LSE, LBS etc require a minimum of a 2.1
to be honest i dont think your bro has much to pick from except he has ample work experience which can suffice for his 2.2.

some couple of months back, i was a bit confused about picking a good school in the uk but all that is history now. Back to your list, talking of schools with good graduate employment (i guess you mean post-grad level) if i'm right i dont RGU and Heriot-Watt merit that list. You failed to mention quality schools like Warwick, Lancaster, Cranfield, Manchester etc.
PS: my opinion though

The government should have erected SIGNPOSTS before issuing there draconian edicts so that innocent drivers wont fall prey to those blood sucking lasma officials. Speaking from experience, I took a wrong turn an entered a one-way road, there was no sign at all and the lasma guy said as long as i live in lagos i should know where has been designated as one-way streets/roads, i'd to part with some money.
It just another ploy to enrich some people. I think it's too early to start mobilising funds for the next election!!!!

for a postgrad programme, i wont recommend any of the two! for undergrad, u fit manage anyone of them. Greenwich is in south-east london, so if u fancy london and dont mind roughing it out then go for it. Otherwise make you try other places. As for visa issue, the embassy wont fuss about anyone of them because they are not among the "sham" university/college. My opinion pls!
