Seriously, this humiliation is just too much! Instead of giving him national merit award, some evil people are hell bent on smearing his name. They wont succeed in JESUS name. They wont ni oruko Jesu (Amin)! Insha Allah
PoliticsRe: Police Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by IncaGold(op): 11:20am On Aug 06, 2008
My brother, i'm still trying to get over it. The man (Ribadu) did well and meant well for Nigeria, although i must admit that he was a bit arrogant but i guess that was needed considering the battles he was fighting.

I dont know where Nigeria is headed!
PoliticsPolice Demotes Ribadu- Ex Efcc Boss by IncaGold(op): 11:04am On Aug 06, 2008
The  NEWLY CONSTITUTED Police Service Commission, reverse the former EFCC helmsman promotion from AIG (Assist. Insp. General) back to DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police) citing irregularities and non-compliance with due process on his appointment.

This action is just shameful, i believe Ribadu has done well for Nigeria, I pray this attempt to humiliate the man will fail.
Our detractors (the looters) I guess will be smiling now.

TravelRe: Pictures Of Nigeria - Show Us Nigeria Through Your Pictures by IncaGold(m): 10:42pm On Aug 05, 2008
@houstony3k,
very soon your eyes go clear for yankee (it's obvious you just land!) No doubt Nigeria is backward and things aint the way they're suppose to be, but hey things will improve and we're working for a better nigeria.
See crusader, you they abroad and you claim to represent the underpriviledge? I dont get it. Most of us have seen both sides on Nigeria, both good and bad (mind some of us have also see the bad sides of yankee and jand first hand! and not based on hearsay).
Nigeria go survive, if you dont have any positive thing to say, pls just keep your frustration to yourself.

Lovely pictures, i must say

@Busy_body,
Long time! hope you're enjoying the soap opera?

@yettidear,
Deciding on the course you want is entirely up to you. Both areas (oil and gas; Telecomms) have great potentials in Nigeria but you have to buttress this point when applying. Forget those crap about career path, your reasons for doing a masters in telecomms could be becos you recognise the enormous potential and growth opportunities in the telecomms sector and since your first degree is in a different field, you know doing a masters in telecoms will place you in good position to benefit from the growth in the sector (as simple as abc) and if you decide on Pet. Eng I guess the ECO wont have any qualms with that as well.

Best wishes (you still have to make the choice yourself)

#To be noticed and appreciated, some people think they must have few handles on Nairaland. I remember my most controversial thread on Nairaland where i have to expose one of our best guy in Sports. Even though he is brilliant but he uses many names to compel his opinion on others. Thank God Funke is known by any other name on Nairaland other than Funkybabe kiss Kitaun will always be Kitaun.
If you accuse me of using multiple ids on nairaland, i'm the least bothered. Afterall people have called me vicjustice before. And i'll always be me.

I would not tow in the line of mud-slinging with you. I am not going to be persuaded with your cheap vulgarities. wink

I started out sane with my response to somebody else, when it got to you, I became insane right? wink That should tell you where your thinking faculty lies bruva. wink

That you see a blind man on the street everyday, do you give your money to every blind man on the street? (Use your thinking faculty to reason that out man) As you mentioned to Megastu to mind his own business, apply the same theology to a post that was not directed at you.

Enjoy man! wink

Hey Guys, Enough of the counter-accusations.

Tolapo, your personal circumstances is good enough to apply for a visit visa, my only fear is the three denials for student visa, they might just think that your real intention is a long term stay, for example to study or work. However, you can give it a try, but make sure you explain that despite your previous refusals to study, you do not have intentions to go study in UK anymore, all you want is to be with your husband on the same bed, that you miss him terribly and because of his tight study schedule, he might not be able to come to Nigeria for now, I bet you the visa officer handling it, if you are luckky tohave a female, will just laugh over it and issue you the visa.
Sorry for my earlier comments. This response is much better and just highlights what this forum is all about. Thanks bro, and sorry about my earlier remarks.

How does your husband survive? How does he obtain his money for paying his utility bills? Would his funding be able to cater for your expenses in the UK? If you can sufficiently show how he obtains his fundings from his Uncle, it would be nice.

If not, I do suggest you apply for a visit visa of six months at the moment. You have been refused three times, for a student visa and it is not a good indication on your immigration credentials with the UK embassy. Has your husband ever returned to Nigeria to visit you while still studying in the UK?

Guy, do you expect everyone to reason the way you do? I DO NOT THINK SO.

Learn to shut up once in a while and mind your own business as well. angry angry angry
Unfortunately, this happens to be one of the few times I've my mouth wide open. You started out well by offering some good advice (i thought you was sane then) until you decided to pick on me! Poor you, I really don't have your time and think u just ignore my messages and move on with your sad and boring life. Of course we all see things differently, but denying a person help simply because the person is new aint right. Loser!

@vvvjustice
All the lady requires is help, she is lost as to how to present her case and that's why (i guess) she's here. Balance of probability or not, how can she improve on her chances, simple and short. Just feel her pain of being separated from her spouse. A more civil answer/response will suffice.

I really wish I could be of help to the poster, my advice to those people that dont know s.hit from Shinola, pls keep quite!

If i may explain; i believe that Akolawole does not want to respond to new members, because people just hear of Nairaland, join, ask one question, and then leave. This is a forum and it is a place where we learn from each other, i might learn from akolawole on travel, he might learn from me on maybe, romance section etc. I respect his decision and i think i support it.

@Akolawole,

Please respond to my mail. I also just sent you one from my office box.
@poster,
THANKS, BUT NO THANKS! wonder who appointed you their solicitor and advocate. So what if the people dont have anything to contribute in other sections?
It's a pity, just because you want to curry favour doesnt mean you should be blind to the truth.
Mind you, i also respect his (or their decision) but I still maintain my stand that the response to tolapo, just because she's new aint fair at all. See you, begging for a reply to your mail!!!!

@Incagold + other handles

"We" cannot be broken down on this thread. Any 3 of us can speak for the group at any time and you know what, our reason(s) is best known to us. Period!

I think somebody also suggested a parallel forum on subject like this.

Londoncool, VOR and Ty4real were doing a terrific job here as well and they are free to do what they feel is the best.
To members of the group:
Your reason(s) whatever they are, is okay by me and I sincerely respect it. So you acknowledge that there is a fraternity or group on this thead?
I like the law of nature and mind you, nature abhors a vacuum! There's no need for a parallel forum as other knowledgeable people will spring up to help and guide people without thinking that they are indispensable! Remember that pride goes before a fall.
HAVE A GOOD DAY!
Much love- Incagold + other handles

Fake this, fake that.

This is an email from an anonymous who needs answers to a problem,please help out.

Hello,

she suggested doing a fake statement of result that would have the 04 matric number but i told her its not wise as she is 'supposed to have just finished school' so there's no way it could be ready by august and the bhc would find her out. she suggested a fake to whom it may concern letter as it seems more applicable for someone who's just finished. what do you suggest?
No doubt the BHC will continue treating Nigerians like rogues. Imagine! I'll suggest she gets a FAKE NYSC CERTIFICATE as well. To complement everything.

Since we're very much alive, i suggest you rephrase your post to read "list of countries you've visited"!

Mr Man, I wasnt dismissive rather you sounded like you were 100% sure of what you were talking about! I quote you "Longterm=Longterm full university degree not 1 or 2 years program". Your words mate!!!
I dont need to have studied in the UK to know what a short-term or long-term program is. In fact short-term courses are non-degree programs (neither undergrad or post grad program). Capise?

CareerRe: Are Foreign Graduates That Much Better Than Nigerian Graduates by IncaGold(m): 2:11pm On Jul 16, 2008
@fbajomo,
I think your concerns can be answered correctly if ONLY there is a valid RESEARCH to back the answers.
My cousin had some little problem in nigeria when he returned as everyone just wanted to "test" or "try" the foreign graduate, excepting him to falter or mess up at the slightest opportunity!

Since there's no evidence (statistically) any answer will be inconclusive. But in my opinion no difference, depending on who you are dealing with, i've met people from nigeria universities doing very very well and likewise foreign graduates who know their onion!! Capise
