@JJ, Hope u aint related to Alams!! Your every fiber just screams VENDETTA, BLOOD. Nuhu is a nice man, our detractors will fail |
I did serve in Sokoto, i enjoyed every bit of it. Place of primary assignment was Sultan Bello very close to city campus. Had so much fun and met most of my current crop of friends in sokoto. Except for the heat, i enjoyed every single moment. I go out a lot, i frequent mammy market, custom mess and officers mess daily. In the early days I was living around the Secretariat and later moved to (i don forget the name, but very close to NTA). In fact the lady that presents AM Express from NTA Sokoto was in my batch. Served Sept 03/Aug 04 |
lepashandi needs some love. After being deprived of parental care he/she sought love on the internet. Please just bear with him/her. |
anoda psycho on the loose |
lepashandi:Your entire generation na OLODO!! F.ucking RETARD |
Na wa o, people with better masters degree from tapping schools never open their mouth to talk, person wen manage to school for edinburgh no let people hear word. It shows the quality of people in ur sch. I'm pretty sure people from better schools wont run their mouth this much. God help us. |
@nelly4, You've also failed to realise that the same Guiness PLC u mentioned is calling for another round of test! My assessment is based on the reality on ground not based on how it should be or how it's done in other countries of the world. In as much as I'm against it (because we've to pay and not the organizations recruiting), i'm totally in support of the IDEA or CONCEPT (although it aint new). I think your assessment of the Nigerian situation is rather faulty. The whole idea is you sit ur GSE, get ur score and once a recruit like UBN wants to recruit the ask candidates to submit their GSE score and they shortlist based on a predetermined criteria. I dont it makes sense travelling back and forth writing different test if a single one CAN do the trick. Very soon I guess people will "form" a union to combat organisations that organise recruitment test. At least some companies dont employ 25 and over and some dont employ HND holders, so it's a matter of standard the organisation has. If they say sit the GSE, then we dont have a choice. But i'll continously oppose the fact that we're made to pay. Some raised an issue on regulation, i wonder who regulates the aptitude test people have sat for, for so long. Even if we don't agree on this, I think we all deserve to express our opinion. |
I dont think GSE or Dragnet recruit for any of the companies. They simply organise the test and send test scores to the would-be recruiter. They operate like SHL, Cubik etc. Although the 5,000 is high but me think that the IDEA aint bad afterall. Cos if one has to travel all the way from Sokoto to Lagos to write a test, if you factor in the cost of transportation and other inconviniences, then you'll see it aint that expensive afterall. At least I know of someone that travelled to Lagos twice in a week to write some test of sorts and ended up spending over #8,000 on transportation and other logistics. Imagine the trouble of writing different test for BankPhb, GTBank, Access Bank, Diamond Bank, Stan Chart, UBA, Eco Bank, Skye, Zenith etc. Infact must graduates travel to write test? In this info tech age? My verdict is that the test should be free and any recruiter that wants to make use of the service should PAY and not US |
@bomata, Ask your account officer in GTBank for the fax confirmation that they receive when a transfer has been successfully effected. JUst highlight your name, receivers details and any neccessary information. |
@kadman, I havnt 4gotten. Still waiting to hear 4rm my coz. |
brownbonno:Not really, I used a digital cam, binoculars and hand lens! |
@busy bee, Yea right, tell me say you no know wetin we dey talk about? By the way with the fall in prices of properties, i'm sure loads of people would have accumulated negative equity on their property. So no money to collect and no need to pose at all. I accept ur love wether hot or cold, hard or soft. Love na love!!! |
Busy_body:"He that seeks equity must do equity" abi? I rest my case. Busy bee, my personal person. Carry go |
hmmm, it's good to know some people know the difference between the truth and castigating! I careless about that and i'll repeat a phrase I used earlier "He without SIN should cast the first stone" What are my chances? A civil answer would have been, for this reason blah blah blah your chances are or look slim. Not the way he was firing the young lady about her family screwing the system and all that (We don't even know if the young that stayed back was prevailed upon to return by his parent but to no avail). brownbonno:This sinless and faultless dude, ride on. More power to your elbow, pretty sure you'll be a better replace for Ribadu. I'm pretty sure that the same guy fighting hard to protect Nigeria's image will twist and turn with fingers in the air dancing to Olu Maintains' YAHOOZEE! |
@busy_bee, my sista, make u take am easy with vanessa. People make mistake, i dont think there's any need castigating people. I bet over 40% of people applying for visa dont wanna come back. I remember my first visit to america, almost didnt wanna leave, but i changed my mind for some other reasons. I dont think we can solve immigration problems and starting to be all righteous beginning with vanessa. Make we just give our own little advice and move on. |
@Vanessa_ra, I like the the appelation you gave brownbonno, Saint Brownbonno indeed! He without SIN should cast the first stone |
@Jascobee, Is 3.5million a lot of money in Nigeria? |
If you wanna work in an Investment Bank you need to be very proficient in maths (or quant related things). The finance programme in Cranfield is very intensive, also the marketing programme is pack with loads of assignments, written reports and sleepless nights! Just come prepared. I've got a cousin there and i'm also looking for to going there. It's a very dry and isolated school but with loads of exciting things to do. If you want I can hook you up with my coz, if you want current info from a student's perspective. |
@Kadman, You don't need gmat for Cranfield Msc Marketing. I'm a hundred and fifty percent sure of that! Why not the Finance programme? http://rankings.ft.com/global-mba-rankings the executive education ranking is quite different. MBA ranking provide a better assessment of business schools |
I think you've to just for the records. The procedure(s) i'm not very familiar with, but just do in case. I've heard (mind you HEARD) of some people that changed institutions without informing the home office and later had some difficulties when they wanted to renewal their visa. Moreover, since LondonCool kinda knows an awful lot of things, why not drop him a line. He seems well versed with issues like this, especially with the Insider information thingy. All the best |
@shawama, the ref number just like any other ref number contains details of your application (every damn thing) e.g. if you call the embassy to make your enquiry faster they'll ask for your ref number (if you have) and even when your visa is approved, that same number will be on the top right corner of the entry clearance. I suspect LondonCool is an insider (maybe he works there), my gut feeling tells me that. those kinda info don't drop out of thin air. |
fyneboye:the above comments reminds me of a guy who swore not to drink Star beer or Guiness Stout because they are bitter, then as a student the guy was always broke. I ran into the same guy a couple of years later in a bar guzzling Stout like no man's business, I quickly remind him of oath he made never to drink and he replied swiftly saying "My guy, na person when no get money, they say stout bitter!". ![]() Thank God you're not in his shoes, different people, different perspective to everything and that includes the choice of where you want to school. |
@LondonCool, Abeg no kill this guy (pls no offence meant!), you've just be giving him death in small doses! ![]() I know the guy will be freaking out now, wondering how u got his details. I guess he gave himself out by posting his visa application ref. |
@vikiviko and vvvjustice, out of curiousity what if the poster's uncle bears a different last name (like in my immediate family we bear our dad's first name) or maybe my paternal uncle bears a different name because he changed his name (e.g got born again and changed name from Falana to Jesulana, or Fayose to Jesuyose). My point is, a paternal uncle can be using a different last name, so what can be done in such a situation. cheers, |
@ ty4real:I guess you're up to something again. I just dont like people taking the piss, that's all. Have a nice day |
Pure vendatta! the poor guy was only doing his job. now our beloved country has victimized him |
Most people want to sound politically correct by justifying his demotion when it is not the truth. I'm pretty sure he didnt promote himself. Now that he's been demoted the next step will be to expel him from NIPSS. |
i'm still speechless! cant believe what's going on. THIS IS PURE VENDATTA. VENDATTA in its PUREST FORM |
To Ribadu, The darkest hours are before dawn, do not give up. I love you so much. Aluta continua, |
Overrule Ribadu's demotion and reinstate him as EFCC boss! |
I tire for Nigeria. Such injustice! Can Ribadu go to court to upturn the decision? |
I dont know how far back the PSC went in reviewing promotion cases. I suggest they look into all cases as far back as 20years. Meanwhile, is their decision binding? Can Ribadu appeal? or Can Yar'dua overrule it? Someone should pls say something. |
