All right, Thanks for this re-assurance. Let me wait for the next draw and see what the cutoff will be before i apply for the new evaluation. I might still get lucky with my 438. cochtrane: 1 Like |

Good morning good people. So WES completed my ECA but they didnt include my ACCA advanced diploma. They sent me email saying the evaluation was already ongoing and they couldnt modify it at the time i sent my request. So i've already entered the pool at 438. I want to modify the ECA by adding the ACCA advanced diploma(for finishing F1 to F9) which would take my score to 478. But before i pay the $100 for the new evaluation, i need someone to help me confirm whether they have ever received a positive evaluation based on the ACCA diploma, instead of the full ACCA. I sent them an email and tweet inquiring about the same but they keep sending me automated replies. Inception12: |

Ideally, it shoud take them 2 weeks or so to finalise the ECA after the verification is received and accepted. They usually send the ECA a few days before their estimated completion date. Guitarlife: |

I've already got the certificate and sent it WES via hellofax. It's as simple as getting it from myacca so no trouble there. The pass rates for all 3 papers(4,5 and 7) are roughly the same. It took me time and after lenghty consultations, i settled on those 2. It will end in praise am sure. happytbaby: |

Thank you for the advise. I've proceeded to do as advised though am wondering why ACCA would take 10 days to send documents to WES. Wouldn't they just send an email considering they already have an existing relastionship. As per the bolded, my role requires P5 unfortunately though from what i've seen, the pass rates between P7 & P5 are really not that different. Thanks for the advise though. Much aprreciated happytbaby: |

Thanks dear. I've already sent WES my ACCA certificate and an email asking them to evaluate the ACCA diplomaas well. I hope i wasn't too late because they've already finished evaluting the BSC and given me an ECA expected date. browndoll: |

Thank you so much for this. From the research, I've discovered that it's possible. But WES has already received and accepted all the documentation for my BSc and given me a tentaive date for the ECA. Is it still possible for them to do the ACCA evalution or i would have to pay for that separatley because i had not included the ACCA evlauation and i nolonger see that option under modify order. nat138: |

Hello people, another quick question. Am currently waiting for my WES evaluation and my predited score is 438. I've seen online that if you've passed ACCA papers F1 to F9, they award you with an Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Business. Am currently planning to sit for my last papers (P4 and P5) in June so i should be qualifiying for this award. With a BSc only, my score is 438, but if i instead put 2 or more certificates, my score goes to 478. Am wondering if anyone has ever evaluated ACCA with WES for only the diploma part and gotten a good answer from them. 1 Like |

Thank you for this. I haven't really gone far as well, still waiting for my ECA from WES. Just needed this info for my planning purposes. I guess the processing fee must be refundable in case you don't make it. God bless. Saintp: |

Yeah, my bad. I might have clicked on a different category. But anyway, my question remains: When do you pay which fee and when? It's got me a bit confused. Kindly help clarify Saintp: |

In line with this question, what's the most approporiate time to pay these fees listed below. I seem to be confused about which applies where: Your fees We recommend you pay the right of permanent residence fee ($490) now to avoid delays. You will have to pay it before you become a permanent resident. Fees $CAN USD Your application Processing fee ($1050) and right of permanent residence fee ($490) 1,540 N/A samnijazz: |

A mathematician or statistician... can add data science, machine learning, deep learning, big data analytics, computational nueroscience, remote sensing, wireless sensor networks etc to your area of expertise... Thank you for the info. As a statistician, am sigining up for a data science course to help me when i finally land in Canada. IT is reallly taking over every field now and we cant hide from it now, we got to embrace it.
Hello bosses, I have been meaning to post this for some time now. The IT Field... It is no news that the IT sector is now linked to every other sector we have now. This has led to expansion in almost every field in order to accommodate the emergence of technology. This brings me to my point. For those who would want to make a switch to IT, you can do so without being a full blown computer scientist etc. Look inward, there is a particular area in your field that you can apply to IT and Vice versa. For example: A medical doctor can add medical informatics to his or her expertise. Go to some class, study medical imaging, bioinformatics etc, understand their workings. In the end you have 2 fields that offer endless possibilities. 1 Like |

Hello beautiful People, How bad (long in this case) is the IQAS evaluation process? I've now spent 2 months going back and forth between my school and WES regarding something as simple as verification and honestly am just tired. Is there someone who has recently concluded the iQAS process to give me an idea of the current timelines? |

I feel your pain, this verification thing of WES isn't just annoying. After struggling with getting a transcript, you then have to pray that the Univ gets and then acts on the WES verification request. To make matters worse, WES claims to send emails but these universities never get them it seems. And apparently, verification is only required for African universities. nanaghano: |

Thanks for the detailed reply. I have an insider in the registrars' office who confirmed that no email has been received from WES yet. And she says that many people have complained about the same issue with WES verification emails. I guess my next step is to use your facebook route and send them nonstop messages and until they check into their system. WES claims they send physical mail to the school. Am wondering how long that would take to reach the school? balogunsam: |

Hello good people, How long does the physical mail that WES uses for verification take to reach? The university has denied receiving an email form WES regarding my verification and apparently WES cant disclose the email they sent to due to confidentiality reasons. I've emailed them to resend it but i got the generic email below: Your academic records have been sent to the institution for verification by email and mail. The status for these documents will be updated in My Account once their response is received and accepted by WES. We appreciate your patience in allowing your former institution sufficient time to respond to our request. I wish i had used IQAs |

It depends on which stage you're at: 1. If before AOR, your points are recalculated to include your spouse 2. If after AOR, you need to raise a CSE and inform your VO as soon as you're married and they will ask for some documents for your spouse which you will have to upload 3.If after COPR, you have to return the COPR and then upload some documents for your spouse and if everything is okay, they'll issue new COPRs for you and your spouse. Hello,am a bit clueless about PNPs. But the bolded got my attention. Is the $1,500 paid for Ontario PNP different from the Visa fee you have to pay after PPR? Was thinking about that PNP if the draws fail to drop to the 430s but that would imply paying close to $3,000 if one is to go through PNP. dannio: |

This makes a lot of sense. I've been thinking about Mississauga and the GTA for my landing spot as well but every passing day Alberta seems to make more sense. I guess the best option is to land in the GTA and experience it yourself firsthand for a month or so and if the situation doesn't seem like you'll get the job, you can always just pack your bags and head west. Hello People, Just a random question, what happens when you get COPR but your medicals or passport expire before you land in Canada? Does the whole process start afresh or you just resubmit passport and new medicals? |
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by Inception12: 7:11am On Jan 10, 2018 |
Ideally for post PPR, since you already have your PPR. it's just a matter of them confirming your wife's medicals and her PCC. That's why it usually takes a short time. Some guys even got their PPR and wife's back in less than a month. Whereas, if you add your wife between AOR and pre PPR, it means they have to re-evaluate your application afresh in light of the changed marital status. But it all depends on your Visa office. I suppose they are all just human, some wont care one bit while others may even ask for a new POF. seunfoster: 1 Like |

It happens a lot, in fact, according to that canada visa forum, it's better than adding the spouse before you receive PPR as it usually only adds 4 to 8 weeks to your application and since you've already received PPR, it makes it easier four your spouse to receive one as well. As long she passes her medicals and has her own PCC. Though you have to return the passport and Copr and then you and your spouse are given new ones and you get a new visa stamped in your passport. sleekysilk: |

This issue was thoroughly answered on this forum. Am also planning on getting married after getting PPR. From what i've read on that forum, it takes roughly 4-8 weeks so you're still in good hands. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/getting-married-after-ppr.403906/ MrsI: |
