Governor's didn't take suggestions from buhari when they were putting their own consesus

All this is just to give them sense of belonging that they were also carried along, buhari no need their decision or confusion

All he said are hard facts.
Buhari, Osinbajo, Ahmed lawal are all paper weights. The only thing they have is their offices. Tinubu has no political office and he's this solid, giving them sleepless nights.

But the Druggie took some overdose and pressed the panic button, now he has ruined everything.

Don’t be like Thiefnibu who used his shaky hands and stuttering mouth to ruin his life ambition.
Sharap! Tinubu was never a consensus option. He's still in the race today because of his doggedness. He's the only independent aspirant in this race, others are consensus seekers. Infact Tinubu is the reason Buhari is scared of mentioning a name till now.

Abdulahi Sule of nasarawa has finally ported to Tinubu camp like I predicted. His boss Almakura is firmly with Tinubu.

Like I predicted again, the governors will never reach a consensus because the interests are sharp and divisive. Five of them are contestants why others are split amongst Tinubu, Osinbajo and Amaechi. Let's wait for Buhari and see what happens.

[quote author=fergie001 post=113418374]What is he loosing by choosing a Candidate, out of a plethora of very qualified Nigerians who bought forms for APC!
What if it's Yemi or Amosun or Fayemi, will Tinubu back down?
That should be the question those from the SW should be asking him and not blackmailing the President, that style is 2015... It has expired.

How many Governors learnt from the Oshiomhole experience?
Is it Ganduje?
Is there any Governor, both PDP & APC that still didn't impose his Choice?

I have always stood with the President on picking his choice, since it has become the norms here. Then, leave the rest for us whether we like it or not, we will show on that day.

He has to aggregate all interests and bring them together which is what he has been doing.

The horse has left the stable. The Governors will unanimously back their President and that ends it.

What is your take on a Muslim-Muslim ticket?

PS: Watch this video;
will be no Muslim-muslim ticket. It's just propaganda to paint somebody black. If it was rejected by the party in 2015, trust me it won't fly in 2023.

The president has a right to make his choice but his choice should come to the eagles square and slug it out with others who do not agree to his choice. To the later part of your submission, Buhari is obviously inexperienced in this game. He's not holding enough consultations, I expected back to back meetings with all stakes holders by now but he will drop one hint and travel out, creating tension everywhere.

Let's wait and see who his choice is and how he's able to pacify other tendencies.

The people of Nigerians know that Tinubu is very corrupt and you know too. Is the same reason he is comfortable moving around with the corrupt Ganduje which most people in Kano have left to support Shakarau and Kwankwaso . So majority of people will not vote for Tinubu.

Nigerians are not daft not to know the limit of power of VP. They know as a President you have overwhelming power regardless of advice giving to you by your VP. But Osinbajo has to be loyal to his boss. Atiku did otherwise with Obasanjo and uptil know he is still struggling to be President. A wise man learn from the past.

Nigerians know Osinbajo will do well better as a President. So the people are happy with Osinbajo.

I repeat if Osinbajo becomes APC Presidential candidate, South West will massively vote for him. Infact the turnout will be more than the previous 2 elections. They will not vote for Atiku even if Tinubu decides to support Atiku or any other party. You can't have your son as Presidential candidate in an incumbent party and go and vote for outsider just because another son of yours is not happy. It will not happen. This is the truth. It is the reason why most politicians want APC tickets.

People in the North too know that Osinbajo will deliver well better as a President. So if he becomes Presidential candidate of incumbent party (APC) they will vote for him. He will win the election with good margin. He will be more marketable to Nigerians in the North and South than the financially corrupt Tinubu.
For the fact that haters call someone corrupt doesn't make him corrupt. As far as I'm concerned Tinubu is clean provided no court of competent jurisdiction has found him guilty of any corruption charges.

Who's free amongst them? Osinbajo whose daughter lives in a mansion of 800million in Abuja? Where does Kiki Osinbajo work? Or is it Buhari whose son mohammed lives like king of Brunei? He crashed a power bike of 80million not long ago. Where does he work? This administration is the most corrupt in the history of Nigeria democracy. The looting in this regime is unprecedented.

Let me tell you, Mr integrity propaganda won't fly again because Buhari used it to deceive us and brought calamity. Nigerians need who can do the job not necessarily a self acclaimed saint. Hunger and insecurity are the concerns of Nigerians not corruption this time. The dynamics have changed, that was why people voted Atiku in 2019 but for rigging he defeated Mr integrity Buhari.

By the way it's completely disingenuous to seperate Osinbajo from the failures of Buhari regime. Impossible! He was in charge of the economy before he was replaced for obvious reasons. He failed woefully!

Why is it different?

That a State is homogeneous gives the rights to one man or One Governor to decide who will be what he is? If a Governor can be so careful and ruthless even scattering everything to pick his Candidate let alone a President.

Are you not aware when a sitting Governor dared Oshiomhole that if Dem born his Papa well, he should come to the State to conduct election and see....full threat, because he wants to pick a Successor. Please, take out emotions and put yourself in Buhari's shoes. You are a President for 8 years, and you prefer someone but will let go because of man's ambition, let's make it make sense.

Let me ask you a question: Will a Tinubu or Amaechi after serving their tenures as President, back down from pushing someone there? If you give Tinubu this 8 years, can he pen an undertaking he will also not want to hand over to someone of his choosing?

Do you know how Ambode was selected as Governor? If all the contestants in SW are fighting, I can understand that but for one man to come then say I did this, I did this then you must give me... That person is taking everyone for granted.

He should relax, but Incase he intends to fight, no wahala. We will be here, but to destroy is much easier than to build. Buhari no fear am, na respect e dey give am.
You can't treat a rainbow like a homogeneous color.

At what cost does the president want his choice of candidate on the ballot.?

The Apc lost Edo under same circumstance. Oshiomhole got his candidate on the ballot but at what cost? Ize iyamu was not the popular choice of the majority of the party members but the choice of one man. In the end they all went into opposition.

Let the president force his candidate on the party and go into the election divided. Remember Buhari is no longer popular. Let's see how it pans out.

Lack of internal democracy didn't start with Buhari.
That was why he hammered it to them that when they made decisions in their respective States, he never interfered.
All over the world, Presidents have inputs on their preferred Candidates, whilst I agree it is democratic in some climes, it isn't here. None of them have a pass mark on internal democracy here.

In the respective States, who chooses Party Chairman and Candidate? Let me be precise here...In Lagos, who chooses Chairman & Candidate?

I will respond when you answer the question.

That he kept quiet in 2015 doesn't mean he should keep quiet in 2022.
Fergie the political set up in the states are totally different from what obtains in the National. At state level it's either homogeneously Acn or cpc or anpp but it's not so at the center. It's a more complex mixture up there.

If Tinubu left APC, and Osibanjo becomes APC Presidential candidate, South West will still vote massively for Osibanjo. The South West cannot see their intelligent son in an incumbent party as Presidential candidate and go and waste their votes. Eventhough I don't want to talk about religion, but do you know where votes of millions of members of RCCG nationwide will go to. Many of them have been encouraged to get their PVC. And you think this is not a structure. You can be sure a strong Muslim from the North will get the VP Slot. After APC primaries almost all the 22 Governors of APC will use their machineries to ensure that APC Presidential candidate wins in the General election. Buhari that made INEC to extend deadline for Primaries will also use the power of incumbency for APC knowing that Osibanjo is popular among Nigerians.

The issue most Nigerians have with Tinubu is that he is too financially corrupt. Nigerians want our resources to be used for every Nigerian not for some selected friends/guys and thugs. This election should be about betterment of entire Nigerians, not about compensating an individual that is corrupt.
Edo had an rccg candidate but didn't vote for him in the governorship election. It doesn't work like that always. Forget about 22governors,if the people are not happy with the party the way it is now because of the failure of Buhari which Osinbajo is part of,they can sweep the governors away in their states. You can't face an Atiku with a divided Apc especially without someone like Tinubu. Atiku will destroy their candidate. The only strong hold of the APC in the south is the south west.

Besides, Tinubu is not just about south west. Take a look at his entourage and see. He has more passionate believers in the north than even the southwest. If all these people are aggrieved then forget about it.

Yes, which was one of the reason(s) people didn't want him anyway near the Office.

The problem with Tinubu is the handwriting has been there. Many will have preferred him stepping down and seriously back someone. His respect will still be 100. But he is not making it Yoruba turn, he is making it his and damning every consequence.

He even hit Dapo Abiodun with stray-bullet for supporting another Yoruba son, you can imagine. You and I know how this will end, we might pretend but the President will have his way, one way or the other.
He fired sporadically today. Everybody collect wotowoto. Hahahahahahahaha......I understand his pains but he has to calm down for now and allow people do the roforofo for him. He still enjoying overwhelming support from critical stakeholders in the party. From his tone today, he's ready to destroy everything and his supporters feel same way too. Lol........

Either Buhari or Tinubu needs to back down at this point otherwise the Apc is on a path to implosion. Tinubu and Buhari are the two pillars that hold the Apc, they must apply wisdom at this point to save the party. The reason for all of this agitation is because of lack of internal democracy.

Prior to 2015 Tinubu presented oyegun on behalf of the Acn bloc why Buhari was allowed to run as president from the cpc bloc with VP from the Acn bloc. Now that Buhari has chosen the chairman on behalf of the cpc bloc, I don't think it's his duty to choose the presidential candidate who's supposed to come from the Acn bloc. He should leave that to the Acn bloc to determine why his cpc bloc will present the VP.

No Problem, people stand to take pictures with Buhari.
Buhari use remote control to put people in Office.
Many Govs became what they were with Buhari's name in 2015.
Not once have Buhari come to make this very un-Presidential and emotional statement like Tinubu did.

He sounded desperate like Ambode in 2018 and it will only make a bad matter worse. Will his outburst make Buhari change his mind? You know the answer to that Even calling a Governor "Eleyi". If a man who is not yet President will come on National TV and say you I made I made you, what will he do when he becomes President? His advisers got this one very wrong.

Well, if you want to vote PDP I can't urge you on or advise you against it but I want to ask you one question:

If APC falls today, how does it affect Buhari?
Has GEJ's loss deterred him from anything?
Perhaps Buhari never had a reason to react this way because he has not felt betrayed by those he helped to power. Buhari himself has been more desperate before, you remember how he threatened the whole nation with the blood and babbon comment? How he cried so desperately on national TV? Buhari would react even worse I tell you.
