True,if APC can step up the propaganda but I would have preferred if they dished it out around august or Sept so that it will influence the polls.at this rate,it might die down before sept and pdp may counter.i think APC should also encourage things that will strengthen akpata as most of his followers are pro pdp.in this case,if APC does not win any bini lga, they lose narrowly

From the 2020 polls,APC biggest defeat outside Edo south was esan West that's why I give it to pdp.but for APC to win it in the assembly polls and for hon onobun to struggle there and with the massive resignations I am seeing, you may be right.
APC best result in Esan in 2020 was from esan south east.again, hon okojie won esan SE/esan NE massively which means APC is very strong there.if Asue wins,it will be marginal.due to the influence of hon Agbebaku, pdp should win or lose owan west narrowly.
The palace matter is just starting bro. It will catch fire close to the election. The matter has been adjourned to 25th of July. That's just a month and 3wks to the election. I hear people are already mobilizing for the next adjourned date. The metropolis will be shut down and the propaganda will even be more intensed. So far, the awareness has been spreading like harmattan fire.

I am not surprised, this might be close to what will happen as my calculations show okpebholo winning the entire north, central and most parts of south.but,I'll be modest and still leave uhumnwonde,Egor, esan south east, esan West and owan west for him
If APC play their game well, pdp will not win a single lga in edo South. The binis are always united around issues of the palace.

I think APC will win esan west again. They're very strong there now. I expect asue to win esan South East. Owan west is usually very keenly contested.

_Obaseki moves to buy votes, pressure INEC to conduct CVR_

Palpable fear have enveloped the camp of Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki as an analysis released by election experts hired by him have shown that Asue Ighodalo will lose the Edo2024 Gubernatorial election coming up in September this year.

The election experts hired by Obaseki himself from Lagos have a good track record of predicting outcome of election in Nigeria.

The group who used sampling of voters opinions across the 18 local government areas released their findings projecting a 55% victory for APC candidate Senator Monday Okpebholo.

PDP’s Asue Ighodalo is said to trail behind the APC candidate with a 35% vote while Labour Party’s Olumide Akpata was projected to secure 9% with other candidates cumulating just 1%.

The report said Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressive Congress will win in Etsako West, Etsako East, Etsako Central, Owan East, Owan West and Akoko Edo Local Government Areas.

In Edo Central surprisingly the report projected APC’s Senator Monday Okpebholo to sweep all five Local Governments in the Senatorial District including Asue Ighodalo’s Esan South East.

The report however streamlined the battle to Edo South where APC is projected to sweep Orhionmwon, Uhumode, Ovia South West, Ovia North East and Egor LGAs.

Surprisingly Asue Ighodalo of PDP is projected to win Ikpoba Okha and Oredo but with a margin not significant enough to cause any upset.

This report has raised tension in government house with Obaseki seeking various options to turn the tides of events.

Government house sources say Obaseki is hinging on massive vote buying in various guises including giving money to traders, supply of palliatives to religious bodies, socio political groups, civil societies, traditional rulers and so on.

Obaseki is also mounting pressure on INEC to conduct a continuous voter registration to enable young voters who were mostly not up to age during the last registration exercise to get their permanent voters card and participate in the election.

Sources from INEC Headquarters in Abuja said though there are pressures from Governor Obaseki to conduct the CVR exercise, time was not favourable for the project as the election was barely four months away.

True and that propaganda is already on and was started by Lp and APC has latched onto it same way pdp trended Edo no be Lagos.if that one die down, they can bring the godfatherism aspect.
For now,it is looking like an APC victory but I am afraid of what obaseki might do to manipulate votes in that Benin metropolis
This election is for APC to lose. Everything is in their favour right now.

Na propaganda obaseki take win the last time. Let APC use it against him this time. Yes, the oba issue is selling very well right now. It must be sustained by all means. Simple election!

APC is very weak in ikpoba and there are still fighting for leadership
APC has a chance to clear the entire Benin metropolis including the said ikpoba okha if they're good in propaganda.

Let them spread the news of obaseki taking oba to court and make it go viral, do videos in Benin language and trend it on all local stations in the state everyday till election, that's all.

which law recognize this 3 member house? You guys are overflogging this defection thing. Its only the law court that can interpret the constitution and in this case the federal high court.

This defection noise that fubara and his supporters are making in the media is a complete waste of time. This scenario is similar to the noise about 25% FCT.When a member of the house defects, and cites division in his party,as reason for his defection,it's only the court that can determine if there is division in the party or not. Also,it's only the NWC of PDP that can institute a case in this scenario without the case being thrown out for lack of locus.

Defection of lawmakers in Nigeria happen every time. When Obaseki moved to PDP,APC lawmakers defected with him to PDP,and there was no noise in the media that they have lost seats.about two months ago lawmakers in Enugu house of assembly defected from labour party to PDP,there is no noise in the media that they have lost their seats.I think there has been defection in Abia state.I like fubara, but if u seperate emotions and media noises from substance and facts of law,you would realise Wike is clearly winning and has upper hand so far.

So far, there is only one valid court judgement which is by federal high court ABUJA,which validates The speaker and 26 members as valid members of the house.I understand the governor's men has appealed this judgement.
The court order from Rivers high court and executive order from the governor can't stop the house from sitting.Fubara should go spiritual for Wike to offend the president. If Wike continue to enjoy the support of Mr President,There is nothing fubara will do that is going to save him.
I'm not sure the judgement was appealed.
