How I missed the train I don't know Now them wordsmiths are done dueling Seen the prints their inks left behind Freestyles, rhymes and poetic license These guys must have had a blast Spilling yarns all over the thread Taking turns in trading words Flirting with their lexical selves Something tells me not to relinquish hope That the absence of the 'smiths is temporary That the next post will end the hiatus Yes! leki10: Not necessarily. It depend on how long or short ur acronym is. I get but since the acronym is usually a word, then the length of the poem will be equal to the number of letters in the acronym. I'm tryinna confirm if it can have more than 1 verse, say if I'm looking at a phrase as the title. |

The door and the key
We seek, we barely find. We find, we barely keep. We keep, then fall behind. We balk, then start to slip.
What we seek, we ought to know. What we know, we ought to teach. What we teach, we sow to grow. What we grow, we slip to reach.

leki10: Example of an Acrostic poem
DREAMS
Deep, and at the same time shallow, Real-like, and also an illusion. Expanding as imaginations grow, At times, it might result into a vision. Meaningful or meaningless as the case maybe, Slipping through the dark till the eyes will see. Apparently, an acrostic poem contains just one stanza, yeah? |
