Sunglow: My dear tithing came before the law.Abraham was the 1st person to tithe,Moses came after Abraham, so tithing continuesLet's not turn this into a tithe discussion. Too many threads in the religion section for that already. Although I completely disagree with ur reasoning on tithe, I'd much rather avoid the issue on this forum. |

This picture of Pastor Chris Okotie ministering in a church with four mean-looking guards got me wondering if Christianity has not been taken to another level. Is it really necessary to have bodyguards all around our Men of God? Pastor Chris was in the news lately for statements he made regarding all Catholics going to hell (read here). The question is should Men of God have bodyguards? Why is it prevalent in Christianity? Have your say.... http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/question-of-day-should-men-of-god-have.html |

I tell you, all manner of things happen in China. A few days ago, InfoNubia reported the story of a Chinese guy who killed himself after an argument with his girlfriend at a shopping mall. Today, it's about a furious Chinese father who stripped his truant son to his underwear, tied him to a tree in a busy street, and whipped him. The nine-year-old from Nanchong, in south-west China's Sichuan Province, had been caught out skipping school for several days without his parents' knowledge. This wasn't just an ordinary day. The temperature was about 40°F (5°C) on the day the poor boy was disciplined. According to the Daily Mail, corporal punishment of the kind meted out to the Nanchong boy is lawful in China, although there are legal provisions to prevent excessive child abuse. The law even goes to far as to allow authorities to order parents to subject their children to 'strict discipline' if they are guilty of serious misbehavior. Isn't this punishment a bit too harsh? Agreed, the boy was wrong for skipping school, but tying him to a tree for some whooping isn't necessary. What do you think? http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/father-stripped-9-year-old-son-tied-him.html |
I guess everybody in north korea shld be worried. I would be worried.
For real. This guy will terrorize his people. |
albacete: This is hilarious! A supposed PASTOR (abi na Man of God) showing off. Whatever happened to the 8 beatitudes; blessed are the humble .......I really think all that wasn't necessary. But let's not forget he used to be a musician before becoming a pastor. |
Rotiix: I think that lad is really power drunk, that is how he ordered the execution of his ex few months ago because she featured in an x-rated flick, stating that as an embarrassment! You are so right. I forgot about that. |
Afam4eva: I think this is one country that the US needs to invade and i support this more than ever before.Hahaha....Afam, same thing came to my mind as I posted it. |
In the biggest upheaval since his father's death, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered the execution of his uncle for trying to overthrow the government, the Korean Central News Agency reported early Friday. The North's official KCNA news agency said Jang Song Thaek had been executed after a special military tribunal found him guilty of treason, only days after he was stripped of all posts and expelled from the ruling Workers' Party. Earlier this week, North Korea stripped Jang of his power and positions, accusing him of criminal acts including mismanagement of the state financial system, womanizing and alcohol abuse. Jang Song Thaek was previously considered the second most powerful man in the secretive state. He was seen as helping Kim Jong Un consolidate power after the death of his father, Kim Jong Il, two years ago. I feel bad for North Koreans. I'm sure there's nothing like freedom of speech in the face of such extreme brutality. http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/north-korean-leader-kim-jong-un-execute.html |

Thamsanqa Jantjie, the 34-year-old sign language translator at Nelson Mandela's memorial service, who was accused by South Africa's deaf federation of "making up his own signs," said he hallucinated that angels were entering the stadium, suffers from schizophrenia and has been violent in the past. In a 45-minute interview with The Associated Press, Thamsanqa said his hallucinations began while he was interpreting and that he tried not to panic because there were "armed policemen around me." He added that he was once hospitalized in a mental health facility for more than one year.. "There was nothing I could do. I was alone in a very dangerous situation. I tried to control myself and not show the world what was going on. I am very sorry. It's the situation I found myself in," he said. He also spoke with a SA based radio station, where he was asked if he was satisfied with his performance, he replied "Absolutely, absolutely. I think that I've been a champion of sign language". http://www.infonubia.com/2013/12/sign-language-interpreter-at-mandelas.html |
