Hi everyone i sold my 2 plots of lands last year to build a house . so the issue now is that my 4 tenants rent have expired since last month. my junior brother informed them there house rent have expired the told him that i will have to give them 3 free months. that is what Nigeria law said unless i should them Quit Notice .It's very sad that a house i build with my hard earn money somebody will be telling me that he will live in my house for free. This is most channeled at experienced fish breeders on here.

To begin, I have substantial hatchery facilities, ranging from vats to concrete tanks to the normal ponds. My water source is sectioned (borehole and well at different section). My vats are indoor, my tanks are outdoor, my ponds and just there as normal ponds. My parent fish are standards (2years+).

Despite all that, I hardly have fishes that survive to reach fingerlings talk less of juvenile. Sometime when I feel the need to stock my own pond, I strive to get fishes to stock due to low yield from my hatchery.

Overtime, I have noticed that my fishes begin to drop just when the are about to enter 3weeks - successful hatching has never been a problem, the survival had always been the issue. Sometime when I decide to transfer them to the concrete tank from the indoor hatchery, they still drop in the tank. Likewise when I decide to leave them inside, they grow very slowly and still drop a great deal.

Recently, I decided to change my routine from the norm and adjust the nursing culture, so I started washing the
Vats everyday hoping that maybe that will be the solution, yet they keep dropping. Although when I did the latter, the output increased a little but not as impressing.

It is quite frustrating as I feel like I am wasting the facilities I have and also to think about the money spent in acquiring the facilities is another thing...

Please, to the EXPERTS, kindly advice on known productive fish breeding culture.

@Belexyfarms,i share in ur opinion,but why a uniform price is not visible right now is mahnly due to d fact dat the fishery sector is not well monitored.e.g.if d fishery society of nigeria(fison)can find a way 2regulate d sector to make fish farming more proffessional,just like u have in accounting were u have 2be a chattered accountant 4u 2b taking seriously,then u might want 2ask why nt fishery,what stop us 4rm having chattered fisheries personel that knws d nitty gritty of fish farming.not just any mungo park waking up in d morning&say he or she is a fish farmer.i ask can u just wake up&start parading urself as a lawyer or an accountant?without having pass tru law school&then call 2d bar,likewise an accountant u need 2b ICAN certified 2be taken serious.if d same principle is applied 2d fishery sector then we can have direction in d sector.i am nt saying one must be a fishery graduate 2pratice fish farming,but for sanity sake there shud be a working body that gives operating license 2intending fish farmers

So for me to become a catfish farmer I need to pass thru PE 1-4. Bros ur idea is not feasible. More so dat catfish Farming is a vocation and not a career.
