eghost247:Yeah, it really was an accident. I was really looking forward to turning--I was legally an adult so I was happy. When I turned 19, I was still feeling the effects of it so it took a while to wear off . When someone would ask me how old I was I'd go "Ugggh, 18. . . Oooops, [lol] sorry I meant to say 19". They'd just look at me like "Huh? " lol. |
Been ok. Just stay away from NL. . . The coming elections lemme know Nigerians are mostly a buncha tribalistic, illiterate clowns; irritating. So I stay away. . . eeeww!
So I'm a tribalistic illiterate clown huh? Smh. |
@OP: Yes, I tell my real age. I see no reason to lie about it. lol, I remember when I first turned 18 and I got so used to telling people I was 18 so when I finally turned 19 I'd accidentally tell people I was still 18 ![]() |

Dollar's missing?!?! |
Ron Oneal:Ummm, but aren't the things you've mentioned a common issue within African American culture? Is it not perpetuated both in the media and in the streets? Yes, its bad to judge based on stereotypes but what you've mentioned are they not prominent in the African American community? Whether you want to admit it, there is a difference in between African and African American culture--yes, we are all one people in the "racial" sense but then again what culture on Earth isn't different from one another? |
lol nothing new. I saw an article a few years back with teachers in the US complaining about the same thing . Its a global thing not just an 'issue' in Nigeria. |
tuumush:ogugua88 was right, leave for what? Who are you to control what goes on in their personal lives? Having 'masculine' features is not in anyway an indication that someone is a lesbian. You mean to tell me that if you're male and you tuumush have 'feminine' features then its safe to assume your gay? You have a lot learn about human sexuality is your answer to my question is yes. |
Brite02:lol, no why would I have problem with my teeth? ![]() |
oshioluv:I'm sorry to hear that you and your sister were molested but I don't think you should assume that that's why you're a lesbian. If you are a lesbian, then suppressing your feelings will get you nowhere. You say you don't wanna be a lesbian anymore--that's almost like you're saying your choosing which orientation you want to take up. If your bisexual now then there are two possibilities, you probably were never a lesbian to begin with or you're just coming into your sexuality [which are both fine]. I wanna ask you something. . . When you say "Dnt wanna b a les anymore", are you saying that because you just don't have feelings pertaining to being a lesbian or because you're feeling social pressure? As for your sister, you don't have any right to try to dictate her sexual orientation just because it may not sought you. What exactly is it about her that you're worried about? From what I've read, it seems like you and your sister may still be suffering from the effects of being molested. Once again, I really am sorry to hear that both you and molested |
No, its not usual. I see tons of girls rockin' that look in Soho. I even see a couple of girls at my school with that haircut. I think it looks nice on her. |
Tunmi:Ooooooh, my mind is running wild just thinking about the potential of the Nollywood industry. Although I would love for them to achieve such success, I doubt it would actually happen. Their too caught up in trying to emulate Hollywood in every way possible. I don't mind if they take elements of Hollywood and add it to Nollywood its just that I don't see it happening. They need take example from Bollywood. In my opinion, they've found a nice way to balance Indian culture with non-Indian culture. The only thing I can really complain about with Bollywood movies is when they buy into the notion of lighter skin being better. That is unfortunately something that has cross various cultural lines all over the world. |
