hmm accidentally
hehehe
Yeah, it really was an accident. I was really looking forward to turning--I was legally an adult so I was happy. When I turned 19, I was still feeling the effects of it so it took a while to wear off grin. When someone would ask me how old I was I'd go "Ugggh, 18. . . Oooops, [lol] sorry I meant to say 19". They'd just look at me like "Huh? huh" lol.

@OP: Yes, I tell my real age. I see no reason to lie about it. lol, I remember when I first turned 18 and I got so used to telling people I was 18 so when I finally turned 19 I'd accidentally tell people I was still 18 grin

CultureRe: Are Africans Proud Of Black Americans? by InkedNerd(f): 7:07am On Mar 21, 2011
Ron Oneal:
Its basically senseless to compare Africans to African American in terms of who is better or worse, I'm so sick of that damn argument. Over here in Germany for example, I've met some Africans who don't like African Americans simply because some of the local women here will not date an African male and exclusively prefer African American men, for cultural reasons in my experience. Some African men, but not all over, have even taken to dressing up and acting like African Americans just to get the women. In order to narrow the competition some of these men have resorted to bringing up dumb stereotypes about African Americans male such the myths about us being bad, irresponsible fathers, uncultured and disrespectful to women, its a joke. None of the African American men here hate on African men, I'm just speaking about Germany.
Ummm, but aren't the things you've mentioned a common issue within African American culture? Is it not perpetuated both in the media and in the streets? Yes, its bad to judge based on stereotypes but what you've mentioned are they not prominent in the African American community? Whether you want to admit it, there is a difference in between African and African American culture--yes, we are all one people in the "racial" sense but then again what culture on Earth isn't different from one another?

lol nothing new. I saw an article a few years back with teachers in the US complaining about the same thing grin. Its a global thing not just an 'issue' in Nigeria.

i don not know which side to stay on in the good or bad theory
agreed it is against the law of the land
but it is also unquestionable that so many ladies living on 'the land' find it more interesting and have not been arrested 'yet'

my humble comment is on catching those who are -
i think the Falcons that look like men are more likely to be les

but if we insist they leave the team, we have inadvertently insisted on trophy-less campaigns
i don't know where this my theory came from
somebody help me
ogugua88 was right, leave for what? Who are you to control what goes on in their personal lives? Having 'masculine' features is not in anyway an indication that someone is a lesbian. You mean to tell me that if you're male and you tuumush have 'feminine' features then its safe to assume your gay? You have a lot learn about human sexuality is your answer to my question is yes.

FamilyRe: Molested While A Kid And Now A Bisexual. by InkedNerd(f): 6:13am On Mar 21, 2011
oshioluv:
Hi, am new here and i need your advice.
I was molested wen i was 6 by aunts husband 2geda wit my my younger sis. We were treatend not 2 talk 2 our parents abt it. But told our parents afta sometime. My family been very strict we were very secretive 4rm very tender age. Since den we bcam lesbian but no one knws abt it.
Now we are in diff universities. Though av a bf bt dosnt knw am a les. And av able 2 do without d les thing 4 more dan a year nw. Dnt wanna b a les anymore, working 2ward it if i can. But seriously am worried abt my sis cos i dnw want her 2 continue with it and we no longer talk abt our les life anymore.
Pls i'll truly appreciate your advice tanx.
I'm sorry to hear that you and your sister were molested but I don't think you should assume that that's why you're a lesbian. If you are a lesbian, then suppressing your feelings will get you nowhere. You say you don't wanna be a lesbian anymore--that's almost like you're saying your choosing which orientation you want to take up. If your bisexual now then there are two possibilities, you probably were never a lesbian to begin with or you're just coming into your sexuality [which are both fine]. I wanna ask you something. . . When you say "Dnt wanna b a les anymore", are you saying that because you just don't have feelings pertaining to being a lesbian or because you're feeling social pressure? As for your sister, you don't have any right to try to dictate her sexual orientation just because it may not sought you. What exactly is it about her that you're worried about?

From what I've read, it seems like you and your sister may still be suffering from the effects of being molested. Once again, I really am sorry to hear that both you and molested cry.
CelebritiesRe: Funke Akindele's New Look: Unusual? by InkedNerd(f): 5:56am On Mar 21, 2011
No, its not usual. I see tons of girls rockin' that look in Soho. I even see a couple of girls at my school with that haircut. I think it looks nice on her.

Imagine if our actors got toned, so much eye candy lol. And the women too. The directors should really add some health-conscious scenes into their movies, discreetly of course. Take away the wigs and have Nigerian hair styles with the braiding, plaiting, weaving, twists, etc. I have so much hope for our film industry.
Ooooooh, my mind is running wild just thinking about the potential of the Nollywood industry. Although I would love for them to achieve such success, I doubt it would actually happen. Their too caught up in trying to emulate Hollywood in every way possible. I don't mind if they take elements of Hollywood and add it to Nollywood its just that I don't see it happening. They need take example from Bollywood. In my opinion, they've found a nice way to balance Indian culture with non-Indian culture. The only thing I can really complain about with Bollywood movies is when they buy into the notion of lighter skin being better. That is unfortunately something that has cross various cultural lines all over the world.[/size]
