FoodRe: The Tea Thread by InkedNerd(f): 8:25am On Mar 20, 2011
@EVERYONE: Have any of you ever picked your own tea leaves to make tea?

Bawss1:
Is there room in this thread for hot chocolate lovers? Most Nigerians I assume only think of cocoa beverages when tea is mention even though they are two different things. I'm not much of a tea fan even though I really like Ginger tea, but I think a hot cup of Bournvita with plenty of milk is not a bad way to start my day. smiley
The more the merrier.

CultureRe: Why Do Nigerians Think White People Are Ugly? by InkedNerd(f): 7:42am On Mar 20, 2011
@OP: I think your question should have been "Why do black people think white people are ugly?" because what you've just said isn't something that is only native to Nigerians. I have a black friend who's family if of South American origin and I once asked him if he could be born again and be white just to see what its like if he'd do it and he said no [in a very surprised manner]. When I asked him why, he said it was because white people were ugly and make weird facial expressions and have ugly skin. And like one poster [redsun] pointed out, caucasians have depicted black people as chimps.

Malstrom:
I would never consider a white woman even for dating. I just have a serious problem with how they look, I think they straight up OGLI! But that is just my personal preferences. We all have different taste  smiley
Lmao
CultureRe: Are Africans Proud Of Black Americans? by InkedNerd(f): 7:32am On Mar 20, 2011
@Malstrom: Its all nice that you want black solidarity between African Americans and Africans but I doubt that will EVER happen. I do agree on one thing, the education here on African American history in the US is highly flawed. Majority of the things I learned here wasn't even in school which is unfortunate--at some point in time I realized I wasn't actually learning anything in terms of history so I educated myself. And just wondering, when you say "WE ARE ALL BLACK", who exactly is the 'we' that you're referring to?

I could have sworn Ramsey does. I have never seen him looking flabby. I'm not condemning him for gaining weight. I'm just tired of seeing people getting fatter and fatter. Big is one thing, before Jennifer Hudson lost the weight (and subsequently scared me) her weight was fine. I just want some toning to encourage the public not to let themselves go. Plus, there's a reason Van Vicker is so ogled lol.
I like the way Jeniffer Hudson looks now. She was huge before. I don't see any reason to be scared. As long as she did it in a healthy manner and is currently healthy then I see nothing wrong wither being the size she is now. As for Ramsey Noah, ever since the I first saw him him Nigerian movies, the dude was been flabby. If you haven't seen him flabby before then take a look at this. As far as I'm concerned, that's flabby. . . I hang out with athletes so compared to what I see when I'm with them and what I see in this pic, that's not toned

Timi1990:
@lnk_nerd Btw dove and Nivea which one is best to use
I don't know which one is better. I don't use either products but I do know that had some products for people with oily skin. For Nivea, you could try Nivea for Men Oil Control Balancing Lotion for Normal to Oily Skin or Nivea for Men Protective Lotion. For Dove, I'm not entirely sure if they have any oil free products. So far, the Nivea products that I suggested is from Nivea's men's line. If you want info from oil free lotion from their other lines, lemme know wink.

By the way, how's your acne?

RomanceRe: Broken Hearted. Nigerian Men Give Your Opinion by InkedNerd(f): 6:20am On Mar 20, 2011
chissy4rea:
well thats what it means she must have been with him all that time we were together in nigeria. u cannot start dating a woman for a month and already decide to propose not in nigeria it does not work like that. the girl is his sisters best friend she is close to his family so he has known her. she recently came back from london about a year ago after completing her masters from what my family told me. he has evn made the engagement it official on face book but when we were together he never put up a relationship status, last december i noticed he was not confortable with us going to common places like crunchies ect in enugu. i dont know y i was so blind. I sent him a message saying ill forgive him and wished him well in the future and his  marriage. no thank u or same to u came out from his mouth. i want to tell my aunt what happened cuz she is the best friend to his mother but i guess it wont change a thing. the fact that he feels he did nothing wrong and shows no remorse its what hurts the most.
Seems more like he did you favor now that you see what kind of man he is. Don't let someone like that get you down. If he treated you like that while you guys were dating, imagine what he would have done if you two had been married. If your that insignificant to him then he should be the same to you. It'll take time but eventually you'll be fine.

HealthRe: Does Anyone Know How To Remove Stretch Marks? by InkedNerd(f): 9:48am On Mar 19, 2011
You could try shea butter mixed with almond oil if you're looking to use natural methods. If you're looking for non-natural methods, you can try looking for over the counter products. Make sure you do your research before you buy these over the counter products though wink
