nanidee: You are totally right about the one I bought. Yeah, it has 18 herbs.
My my, you must be a real investigator to have found out these soaps. Never heard of them.
You know the funny thing? When I went through this thread, I decided to write down the names and check them out whenever I go to Ilupeju, so I came up with a very good reason to go there yesterday (my office has a branch there), and trust me, I went straight to the indian shops.
I wasn't able to get them at the first 2 (probably because I didn't check for myself)
At the third shop, after asking for them, I was told they weren't available, but I still went to the soap area with an attendant who was searching and searching, and finally said "we don't have anything like that o".
Well, in my dissappointment, I asked if she had black soap, and just as she bent to get it, my eyes drifted to the next carton of soaps, which happened to be our dear MEDIMIX with 18 herbs. I first checked my paper to confirm it was the same, and voila!!!
The attendant even started asking me if that's what I use, and how I got to know about it.she ended up saying she just had to buy it too, imagine.
Then to make matters worse, can u imagine that none of the attendants knew the name of the street, despite the fact that they work there? so i had to check the receipt to get the name of the store
Sorry for the long story, just excited about my medimix experience.
And thank you too, for coming out with your medimix discovery. No problem . lol, I discovered these soaps by accident just a month ago. I like to use a lot of natural remedies when it comes to taking care of myself. You'd never believe where I first heard about these soaps--I heard about them on Youtube. There was a young black girl with natural hair that I saw on Youtube with FLAWLESS skin. When I say flawless, I mean it. Her skin looked AMAZING. She had the type of skin that people dream about. Anyway, someone asked her what her skincare regimen was and she talked about a soap that she used called Chandrika Ayurvedic Soap. I Googled the soap and while I was online looking I Googled the reviews for the soap, I noticed that someone on one of the review websites mentioned that there was a soap better than Chandrika and I was shocked . When I saw the name, I quickly wrote it down and searched all over for it in health food stores and Islamic stores near my house but unfortunately, a lot of them either never heard of it or didn't carry it. Then one day while I was online looking for an Indian restaurant that sells good samosas and henna, I came across an Indian grocery store that sold henna and samosas. I called them that moment and asked them if they had any Chandrika soap and they said yes and I immediately jumped up for joy. The next day, I went to Little India to go buy the soap and on my way to the store, I found another Indian store that sold a lot of Indian beauty products so I went in there first before going to the original store I planned on going to. That's when I noticed the Chandrika soap. After buying it, the people even gave me advice on how to use a variety of other India products. The Indian people in the second store were not so nice though. They didn't really help me when I walked into the store. Anyway, now I only shop at the first Indian store I went to. They're very friendly and have excellent products. The second time I came to the store, I bought the Medimix soap and was astonished that it actually did work better than the Chandrika. Hehehe, I loved that store so much that I went back there about four times times within two weeks. Before, the only soaps I used was black soap. Now all I use is black soap, Chandrika, and Medimix. Oh and by the way, those attendants that you mentioned seemed so lazy. If there's one thing I hate more that rudeness from store attendants its laziness. Don't they know bad customer service drives customers away? Sheesh!!! . Anyway, I'm glad that both you and Timi1990 were able to purchase the soaps. Trust me, you won't regret it . By the way, I'm sorry for the long rant |

strangerf: Intertribal marriage is bad
It is bound to fail, and I wouldnt advise anyone to do it; especially with Ibos, very backward and money making ritualistic people! Was that really necessary? All you needed to say your not into inter tribal marriages. You didn't need to take to a tribalist level. And its Igbo not 'Ibo'. Smmfh.
silami: I think your types ceased to exist 5 decades ago. You are just an ethnic bigot and you can as well keep your advice to yourself. lol, nice word. |
