So many insensitive comments here. Y'all saying it's drugs just concluded so based on the baseless stories you hear about the hausas abusing drugs. Which tribe in Nigeria does not abuse drugs? Someone said there is nothing like spiritual powers and I laugh. Someone somewhere must have manipulated this woman into doing what she did. If eventually she is executed, the husband can never enjoy his marriage with the new wife because the ghosts of his kids and wife will continue to haunt him and also those saying many Muslim women are unhappy with the polygamy issue should also consider the fact that not all women in monogamous homes are happy with their husbands. 2 Likes |

Happy teachers day to my dad and all the hardworking teachers out there. May God reward them abundantly. Being a teacher's daughter has taught me a lot.  I don't relate with any of my teachers anymore since I graduated from secondary school, they were really a handful then lol but they did their best for me and helped me to where I am today. CCTV in villages? WTF is wrong with these politicians using citizens life to gamble.Some of these villages don't even have transformers.Is it solar CCTV abi spiritual CCTV that they want to install? It is entrenched in their constitution already.Those men must have known the punishment, but still went ahead to commit such a heinous offence.A lot of investigations must have been carried out, you don't just kill someone like that.I must say China's law is quite strict, whatever works for them though, they are doing quite well. |

I don't have a favorite author presently I am still exploring.I read my first Dan Brown novel Angels and Demons in SS1.Since then I have been hooked,I read Origin and Digital fortress this year and they are excellent.I love thriller and mystery novels a lot but these days I prefer African novels,I read my first Ngugi Wa'thiongo's novel weep not child in Jss2,I read a river between in SS2.Chimamanda is an author I admire I love her works and I read purple hibiscus over and over again in Js2 lol,I have read Americanah,Half of a yellow sun and The things around her neck.Growing up, when I was in primary school I read a lot of Enid Blyton and I still enjoy some of her works even though I am no longer a child.The reading culture in Nigeria is really bad,many young people are only interested in Instagram and Twitter.I hope to read the works of Dostoevsky when I get the opportunity to.I Know I have written an epistle lol,biko,emabinu, sorry I didn't mean to.I just wanted to express myself.I will really appreciate if someone could be kind enough to suggest some great African writers and their works. |
